The Return Of The Amazing Single Mom By Wendy Titus

Chapter 90

Chapter 90

“Anna, did you not brush your teeth when you woke up this morning? There’s a strange smell when you speak!”

Milo’s words made the other children cover their mouths and laugh, and Anna’s proud expression couldn’t hold up

anymore.

She muttered to herself, “Didn’t Milo dislike Lindsay? Why is he suddenly standing up for her now?”

Anna suppressed her displeasure and said, “Milo, what you said really hurts my feelings. But it’s okay. I believe you didn’t mean it. After all, we are good friends.”

Anna deliberately emphasized the words “good friends, hoping to let Lindsay know she and Milo were really good friends. It was also to pass over the awkward situation just now.

But unexpectedly. Milo’s face turned cold. He sneered and said, “I did mean it. And I don’t consider us good friends.”

Milo has always been warm-hearted and polite to everyone. They had never seen him being impolite to anyone before.

But this time, he showed no mercy to Anna.

Milo thought that not resorting to physical violence was already the greatest restraint he could show toward Anna.

Anna said with a look of grievance, “Milo, why are you suddenly treating me like this? Did Lindsay say something bad about me to you?”

At this moment, Oliver, who had always been silent, spoke with cold eyes, “My sister is different from you. She is innocent and kind-hearted. It’s you who talks behind people’s backs and schemes.”

Oliver was naturally cold and aloof. He never interfered in children’s matters. But it would be a different case if it involved his sister.

Sister?

Oliver actually referred to Lindsay as his sister. When did their relationship become so close? Didn’t he used to ignore her? What kind of power did Lindsay use to win over Oliver and Milo?

Could it be the power of money?

Lindsay felt touched when she saw her brothers publicly defending her and calling her their sister.

They stood on either side of her, exuding a protective aura that made her feel stronger. It gave her more confidence when facing Anna.

Anna stood there trembling with anger. Why did Oliver and Milo stand up for Lindsay?

Could it be that she was really bribing them with money?

“Lindsay, let’s go sit over there,” Oliver said.

Oliver and Milo acted like guardian angels, protecting Lindsay on both sides.

Due to Anna’s previous personal attacks on her, she developed a psychological scar. But with the boys by her side, she no longer felt afraid.

With a determined gaze, Lindsay walked past Anna. With the boys by her side, she had no fear.

Anna scowled in anger. How dare this dumb girl try to act arrogantly?

At that moment, Rebecca arrived.

She excitedly exclaimed, “Children, I have good news to share. Today, Jasper Holdings is organizing an intelligence competition for the children in our kindergarten. The child who achieves first place in the competition will receive a fantastic prize

“Ms. Clark, what’s the prize?” one of the children asked.

Rebecca replied with enthusiasm, “The amazing prize is the Astor Castle Dollhouse. According to The Wolfden Times, this gift is 2.7 meters tall and worth 8.5 million dollars. It would take swiping every credit card in an adult’s wallet, working ten jobs, and even taking out a substantial personal loan to afford it.”

Rebecca pressed a button, and a beautiful dollhouse appeared on the computer screen.

“Ms. Clark, this dollhouse is so beautiful. But is it really that expensive?” another child asked.

Rebecca nodded and said, “Astor Castle Dollhouse is considered one of the most expensive toys in the world. Its cost is comparable to that of many family homes. It is slightly taller than a standard dollhouse and has 29 rooms, including an armory and a ballroom, with thousands of miniature furniture pieces throughout the castle. It is said that it took more than ten years to create this dollhouse, and it weighs a whopping 800 pounds. So, children, would you like to have it?

The children looked at the dollhouse, their eyes sparkling, and shouted excitedly.

“I want it.”

“This castle is amazing!”

Anna stared at the computer screen. She had been eyeing this dollhouse for a while.

But her father refused to buy it, saying the 8.5 million-dollar dollhouse was too expensive. Now the opportunity was right in front of her. She was determined to get her hands on it.

Lindsay looked at Astor Castle and thought it was beautiful.

Oliver glanced at his sister, seeing the excitement in her eyes.

Just as he expected, she liked the gift he had chosen.

Excitedly. Rebecca said, “Even I want this Astor Castle too, but I can’t participate. Kids, you have to do your best. If you win first place in the intelligence competition, you can bring Astor Castle home. Let’s see who the smartest child in Star Kindergarten is.”

The children shouted loudly. “Me, I am the smartest.”

Anna stared fixedly at Astor Castle. She wanted the o castle and also wanted to be recognized as the smartest in the entire kindergarten.

She quickly decided to call her dad and ask him to persuade the judges to make her the first-place winner.

“The prize is fantastic, and being the first in the intelligence competition sounds really cool.”

Milo exclaimed in admiration, and the other children echoed his excitement.

“The intelligence competition sounds so cool. The news has been reporting about the members of the Celestial Squad coming to Archiland recently. They’re all geniuses with exceptional intelligence. I really admire them.”

“The members of the Celestial Squad are too far away from us, but now we have a chance to win first place in the intelligence competition and bring the castle home. Just thinking about it makes me feel so great. I’ll do my best.”

Anna looked disdainfully at the other children and whispered to herself. “You can’t compete with me. The first place in the intelligence competition can be bought with money, right?”

Anna touched her hair and said, “Of course, I’ll be the first place in the intelligence competition. Just wait and see.”

One of the children asked, “Anna, the competition hasn’t even started yet. How do you know it will be you?”

Anna replied, “Because I am beautiful and smart, unlike someone who can’t even speak and is dumb,”

Milo walked to Anna’s desk and slapped it. His face was cold as he said, “Is your Foster family going bankrupt? Can’t you afford toothpaste and toothbrushes? I can supply you for a lifetime! Otherwise, your mouth will keep being filthy.”

Previously, whenever Anna made snide remarks, no one ever retorted. But now, she casually said something, and Milo responded fiercely.

“Im warning you. From now on, I’m backing Lindsay. You’re not allowed to make snide remarks about her anymore. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude to you.”

Milo was fierce. If Anna weren’t a girl, he would have already fought her.

But Oliver told him there were ways to teach someone a lesson other than violence, and the most painful way was to make her understand what a crushing defeat felt like!

Rebecca was surprised by Milo, who had always been gentle, to be so angry now. She quickly tried to ease the tension.

“Children, since you all seem so interested, shall we start the preliminary round of the competition?”

“Okay.”
