The Return Of The Amazing Single Mom By Wendy Titus

Chapter 89

Chapter 89

Christine was speechless. How dare he say that? She wanted to punch him so badly!

“I’m doing my makeup. You focus on driving,” she replied, feeling the need to retaliate.

While other women put on makeup to enhance their beauty, Christine was deliberately making herself look ugly.

After finishing speaking, Christine began to fiddle in the backseat. Through the rearview mirror, Randall saw her begin to apply lipstick.

She intentionally applied lipstick beyond the natural borders of her lips. Then, She deliberately drew her eyebrows unevenly and applied excessively long false eyelashes, making herself look odd.

After styling her hair and putting on a bowl-cut wig, she completed the look with thick black-framed glasses. In an instant, she transformed into Nancy, a trustworthy neurologist.

Randall glanced at the rearview mirror, observing Christine as she had turned her own beauty into such a mess.

His eyebrows furrowed as he said, “Girls usually like to look beautiful. You’re a nice-looking girl, so why do you want to make yourself look like this?”

Christine adjusted her wig and said seriously, “With this look, people would pay more attention to my profession instead of my look.”

Randall’s gaze softened slightly. “Your capabilities will shine through regardless of your appearance. People will recognize and appreciate your professionalism.”

Christine was taken aback. Was Randall, an extremely arrogant person, actually praising her?

She asked teasingly, “Mr. Reeves, am 1 hearing you correctly? Are you complimenting me? I never expected someone like you to give compliments.”

Randall frowned. What did she mean by that?

He asked, “Am I such a bad person?”

“No, you just look a bit intimidating,” Christine replied.

As they conversed, they arrived at the hospital. Christine felt like she had been saved.

“We’ve arrived at the hospital. I’ll go now.”

As soon as Randall parked the car, Christine hastily got out, as if staying a second longer with him would bring bad luck. Randall watched her rush away with a meaningful gaze.

After a while, Randall arrived at Reeves Group.

Derick observed his boss and felt worried.

Last night, he saw his boss speeding off with that female doctor in the parking lot. It was clear that they were in a hurry, perhaps feeling agitated.

He guessed that they must have had an intense night together. Judging from the dark circles under Randall’s eyes, he suspected Randall must have exhausted himself.

Derick asked, “Boss, are you alright? Should I buy you some energy drinks to replenish your stamina?”

Randall looked up at Derick. Derick instantly froze, wondering why he was being looked at with such an expression. After all, he had good intentions.

“Boss, I’m sorry

Sorry

Randall replied, “Go and investigate the list of black card holders from Marshall Bank in Archiland.”

Derick was stunned. His boss was not angry. Perhaps it was because he was in a good mood after what happened last night. “What are you waiting for?”

Randall’s gaze suddenly turned cold, and Derick felt a pang of alarm.

“Boss, I’ll go now. I’ll go right away.”

After saying that, Derick ran away.

He didn’t dare to ask why his boss suddenly wanted to needed to get away to save himself.

investigate the list of black card holders from Marshall Bank. He

Yesterday, Oliver showed a black card from Marshall Bank when shopping at the store. It had raised suspicions in RandalT mind

Even though Nancy was a renowned neurologist, she wouldn’t have access to such a card. So he wanted to investigate further. Perhaps the person who gave Oliver the black card was the mastermind behind Nancy’s approach to him.

After half an hour, Derick returned with the list.

“Boss, this is the name list you requested.”

Randall skimmed through the list. There were a total of 19 names, including himself.

Other than him, there were 18 other people.

Among the 18 other names on the list, he knew them all. After all, having access to this black card in Archiland meant they were influential individuals.

But at the moment, he couldn’t figure out which one of these 18 people had a connection with Nancy.

Little did Randall know after Oliver revealed the black card yesterday, Oliver realized that Randall would investigate the information behind the card. So last night, during their discussion about distribution rights of the games, while Randall was on the phone, Oliver took the opportunity to hack into Marshall Bank’s system.

Initially, there should have been 20 names on the list, but Oliver deleted one person’s information. That was Matthew from Jasper Holdings.

Matthew had already made contact with them, and if Randall saw this name, he would know that the black card belonged to the Magnate, further exposing his identity. So Oliver hacked into the system and modified the data.

Randall scrutinized the list and frowned.

Who among them was the problem?

Derick asked curiously, “Why do you need this list, Boss?”

Randall replied. “It’s none of your concern. By the way, there’s no need to compete for the distribution rights for the ‘Beast Summoners’ anymore.”

Derick was shocked when he heard that. The company department had been working overtime to compete for the distribution rights for the game ‘Beast Summoners. They were about to get the distribution rights away. Why did Boss give it up?

Derick couldn’t help and asked, “Why, Boss? This game is very popular in Honwales, and many companies in the country are competing for its distribution rights. We were about to secure it. Why give up now?”

Randall replied, “Give up on that game and focus on securing the distribution rights for “The Last Ark.””

Randall turned the computer screen towards Derick while he went to investigate the list.

He had taken a closer look at “The Last Ark and agreed with Oliver’s assessment.

The game had potential and was worth securing the distribution rights for.

Derick looked at the game displayed on the screen, a game called “The Last Ark.” It had some degree of popularity, but it couldn’t compare to the hype around “Beast Summoners.” Furthermore, it was an online game.

“Boss, this game “The Last Ark’ can’t even be compared to the highly popular ‘Beast Summoners. Why choose such a weak game

if our company wants to enter the gaming market?”

Randall spoke in a low, resolute voice, “Do as I say.”

Derick was speechless. Had his boss been exhausted by that woman? How could he make such a confusing decision?

It seemed like that wornán had successfully seduced their boss with her beauty, making even their wise and mighty boss act strangely.

At the kindergarten, Anna saw Oliver and Milo walk in and immediately approached them, saying, “Oliver, Milo, you’re here. Do you like the new dress I’m wearing today?”

Anna twirled around, showing off her new dress. Milo coldly replied, “Why are you keep spinning in circles? Are you trying to summon a spiritual beast like the character in the game?”

Anna became furious upon hearing his words. How could he mock her like that?

Just then, she noticed Lindsay standing behind Oliver and Milo, and her expression turned even more unpleasant.

What was going on?

Lindsay actually came to school. Anna thought Lindsay had been discouraged by her and wouldn’t come to school abymore.

Now, she was here and even came with Oliver and Milo.

Anna was on the verge of losing her temper.

Why was Lindsay getting involved with Oliver and Milo?

Suppressing her displeasure, Anna said, “Lindsay, you come to school today. You’re really lucky to coincidentally meet Oliver and Milo at the entrance.”
