The Return Of The Amazing Single Mom By Wendy Titus

Chapter 81

Chapter 81

Chapter 81

Milo looked at the bigger deer plushie and couldn’t reach it.

Just as he was carefully planning to sit on his brother’s shoulders, a pair of shiny leather shoes entered his line of sight. A tall figure approached them and effortlessly took the plushie down.

A man’s voice said. “Here.”

Milo looked up and realized it was his scumbag dad!

The scumbag dad was very tall, about 5.9 feet tall, making them look especially small.

Milo instinctively thanked him for handing over the plushie.

To Milo’s surprise, Randall showed a rare smile.

However, Oliver coldly replied, “We don’t need your help. We could have managed it ourselves.”

Randall remained silent. So, this kid was implying that his assistance was unnecessary. Although he didn’t want to admit it, this kid’s annoying look did resemble him.

But why were they buying two plushies? There were plenty of other toys here, like airplanes and race cars.

Why were they only interested in plushies?

“What do you like? Buy whatever you want. I think this remote–controlled race car looks good,” Randall suggested.

However, Oliver and Milo seemed to have not heard Randall’s words. Each of them held a deer plushie and made their way to the cash register.

Randall recommended them toys, yet he was completely ignored by them.

Oliver and Milo placed the plushies on the counter, and Milo said with a cute expression, “Miss, can you help us pay, please?” The cashier looked at Oliver and Milo, wearing an amazed expression. “You handsome boys are so good–looking, and you’re twins. Your mom must be so lucky to have two such handsome sons. I feel jealous.”

In a cute and childish voice, Milo said, “Thank you… Miss.”

Oliver remained aloof and acted a bit snobbish.

Randall furrowed his brow slightly. The more he looked at Oliver, the more Oliver resembled himself.

The cashier scanned the barcode of the plushies and asked with a smile, “Handsome boys, who are these deer plushies for?”

Milo replied with a soft and adorable tone, “One is for my little sister, and the other is for Mommy.”

“Wow.” The cashier expressed her astonishment. “Your mommy is really lucky. She has two handsome sons like you two and even a daughter as well. It’s truly enviable.”

The cashier sneakily glanced at Randall, who stood behind the children. She secretly thought the luckiest thing was to have such a handsome husband. Otherwise, where would such good genes come from?

“You really look like your daddy.”

The cashier commented, causing an awkward moment for the trio of one adult and two boys. However, no one bothered to explain the awkwardness.

Randall didn’t expect these two boys to come and buy plushies specifically for his daughter and their mommy.

They did not pick toys for themselves. They were truly unique children.

Randall took out his wallet, ready to pay.

When Oliver saw Randall was about to pay, he coldly said, “No need. I’ll handle it myself.”

Oliver handed over a black card, causing the cashier to freeze for a moment. She was surprised that a child was using a black

card.

Not only was this child handsome, but he also seemed to come from a wealthy background.

Randall looked at the black card in Oliver’s hand and realized that it was of a level that very few people in Archiland possessed. The entire country didn’t have more than thirty people with such a card, but Oliver actually had one in his hand.

Randall squinted his eyes. Even though Christine was an internationally renowned surgeon, she couldn’t obtain this level of black card. So, who was behind them?

Randall took the black card and placed it back into Oliver’s hand, saying, “I’m not just for show. Keep it safe.”

Afterward, Randall placed the money on the counter.

Keep the change.”

Then, they walked out one after the other, leaving the cashier staring at them with envy.

Who was the fortunate woman? Her husband was handsome, and now they had money too.

They had two sons and a daughter, and it was evident they were a wealthy family. The children were also good–looking. It seemed like the wife had everything. How envious.

When Randall opened the car door for Oliver and Milo, Oliver looked at him and said, “You don’t have to pay for us. We wanted it, so we’ll pay for it ourselves.”

After Oliver finished speaking, he sat in the backseat. Randall stood by the car door, feeling that this child seemed to particularly dislike him.

Milo followed behind his brother and said in a cute and defiant tone, “Don’t think you can buy us over so easily, Mr. Reeves.”

Milo really wanted to tell his scumbag dad that his brother was even wealthier than him. He would not win them over with a few small favors.

Randall was impressed that these boys would even act tough toward him.

Was he wrong to help with the payment?

Randall raised an eyebrow and then reluctantly sat back in the driver’s seat.

“Let’s go now so your mommy doesn’t get worried and think I sold you two.”

Milo poked his head out from the backseat and said defiantly with a proud expression, “Mr. Reeves, It’s not that easy to sell

us.”

Milo was full of pride, while Randall found it amusing. Such a young child, yet so confident.

Randall asked, “Aren’t you afraid of being kidnapped by human traffickers and not being able to find your mommy?”

“Kidnappers won’t be able to take us away. We’re very smart.”

Seeing Milo’s proud expression, Randall couldn’t help but find it amusing.

This child was energetic and incredibly adorable.

No wonder Lindsay liked to be with them.

“During your time at kindergarten, I’ll rely on you to take care of Lindsay.”

It was unexpected that someone as proud as their scumbag dad would actually ask for their help. It seemed like he genuinely cared about Little Tail.

However, he didn’t even acknowledge them as his children!

“You don’t need to specifically ask us. We’ll take good care of her.”

Oliver sat upright in the back seat, exuding a natural aura of authority.

Milo glanced at his brother. Wasn’t he even a little jealous?

Oliver looked at Milo, and once again, they communicated through telepathy.

Oliver said, “Little Tail is our sister, and as her brothers, it’s our responsibility to protect her. That’s all that matters.”

“Yes, you’re right, Oliver.”

Milo nodded, dispelling the gloom, and pretended as if nothing happened. “That’s right, even if you don’t ask us. Protecting girls is the duty of boys.”

Deep down, Milo still hoped to gain his father’s approval.

“Your mommy has taught you very well.”

Randall looked at the two little boys through the rearview mirror. Besides his Lindsay, this was the first time he found children to be adorable.

“Of course, my mommy is amazing. Not only is she beautiful, but she’s also a talented surgeon. Many people try to pursue her.”

Milo proudly spoke, and Randall jokingly asked, “What about your daddy?”

“Are you trying to test us? We won’t tell you. Mr. Reeves.”

Milo called Randall “Mr. Reeves” once again, which made Randall feel particularly uncomfortable.

He unexpectedly didn’t like being called “Mr. Reeves” by Milo.

“Didn’t

you call me ‘daddy‘ last time? Why are you calling me Mr. Reeves now? Actually, I can be your daddy if you don’t

mind, Randall said.

Now he wanted to be their daddy?

Although Milo was just a child, he strongly suspected Randall had some other motive.

Oliver showed no mercy and bluntly said, “We mind.”
