“Yup.”
Randall remained calm and unaffected, showing no embarrassment or remorse for stealing a kiss from Christine.
Christine furrowed her brows in anger and said. “Randall, you kissed me, and yet you have the audacity to act so indifferently. You… you…
Randall looked at Christine, whose face had turned red with anger. He calmly said. “Are you angry? Why don’t you kiss me back then?”
Christine responded with a frustrated expression. How could he be so shameless?
He actually wanted her to kiss him back? Wouldn’t she be the one at a disadvantage?
Tit for tat, eye for an eye, shouldn’t be applied in this situation.
Christine’s eyebrows were tightly knitted together as she said, “Randall, do you think I’m foolish? In a situation like this, I’m not going to kiss you back but retaliate with a slap!”
She revealed a faint and cold smile, and instantly, a glint of hostility appeared as she raised her hand and struck Randall. Randall caught Christine’s hand with his left hand, and the smile on his lips deepened.
“Are you hitting me because you have not had enough of my kiss?”
Randall’s words carried both desire and provocation, stirring hearts and causing an accelerated heartbeat.
At that moment, Randall’s phone rang.
“Mr. Reeves, something has happened to Miss Lindsay.”
“What happened to Lindsay?”
Randall let go of Christine’s hand. When Christine heard that Lindsay was in trouble, her heart instantly rose to her throat.
“Miss Lindsay has a fever. The driver sent Miss Lindsay to kindergarten. When Miss Lindsay got out of the car, the driver realized something was wrong and sent Miss Lindsay back. Then, he realized that Miss Lindsay had a fever. Now, Miss Lindsay is feeling unwell and clamoring to see Dr. Nancy.”
“I’ll come back immediately. Take care of Miss Lindsay.”
Christine anxiously said, “Lindsay has a fever? Does she want to see me? I’ll go with you.”
Randall looked at Christine, sensing her anxiousness upon hearing about Lindsay’s fever.
From how nervous she was, other people who had no clue would think she was Lindsay’s mother.
“Okay, let’s go.”
Randall sat back in the driver’s seat and stepped on the accelerator, swiftly driving away.
He left Derick standing there. Derick rooted to the ground and was completely shaken.
Derick had just witnessed his boss kissing the female doctor. Although he saw them from a distance, he had definitely seen
their intimacy.
Wow, it was too sensational.
Why was Boss in such a hurry now?
Tsk tsk… Derick looked worried, thinking that his boss’s sudden change of behavior was a bit overwhelming.
“Boss, you’re leaving. What about the ribbon–cutting ceremony?”
After a while, Derick finally reacted and shouted at the taillights.
However, he believed his boss wouldn’t care about such things, especially at this exciting moment.
After a while, Christine and Randall arrived at the Reeves family’s residence.
When Christine entered Lindsay’s room, she found Lindsay with a fever patch on her forehead, her little face flushed, and her eyes tightly closed.
“Lindsay, sweetheart.”
Upon hearing Christine’s voice, Lindsay instantly opened her eyes and raised her little hand, wanting to be held. Christine quickly embraced Lindsay and whispered. “Lindsay, if you’re feeling uncomfortable, tell me, okay?”
At that moment, Miranda, the caretaker of Lindsay, approached and said, “Dr. Nancy, you’re finally here. The family doctor has examined Miss Lindsay. She has a fever of 38 degrees, and the doctor has given her medication. Miss Lindsay had a

sleep, but her sleep was restless as if she was having nightmares and kept waking up”
Lindsay’s originally adorable doe–like eyes were now bloodshot.
She had nightmares, dreaming that her mommy and brothers didn’t want her anymore.
They went far, far away, and she wanted to ask them to wait for her.
However, she found she couldn’t speak, and she felt anxious.
She could only watch as her mommy and brothers walked away.
Christine hugged Lindsay tightly and said, “Lindsay, rest well and have a good sleep. You’ll feel much better when you wake up. Don’t be afraid. I will keep holding you. Sleep well. I am here with you.”
Lindsay lay in her mommy’s arms, feeling a sense of peace and security she had never experienced before.
Her mommy’s embrace was so soft and warm.
Lindsay really liked her mommy.
Christine held Lindsay in her arms and gently patted her back, and soon Lindsay drifted off to sleep.
Her previously furrowed brows relaxed, and she slept peacefully.
With a signal from Randall through his eyes, Miranda stepped back.
Randall walked toward Christine and said in a low voice, “Lindsay has fallen asleep. Put her on the bed.”
Christine gently shook her head, looking at Lindsay with eyes full of tenderness. “It’s okay, I’ll hold her. She needs a sense of security, and when I hold her, she can sleep more soundly.”
Christine looked lovingly at the sleeping Lindsay, who looked chubby and cute.
Now that she was asleep, she looked even more like a beautiful doll, captivating to the eyes.
Randall looked at Christine, who was holding their daughter. Her eyes were so gentle at that moment.
Someone who didn’t know would think she was the child’s mother.
“Do you really like children?” Randall asked.
Christine kept her gaze on Lindsay, and Randall’s words made her lift her eyes.
“Lindsay is adorable, isn’t she?”
Did she like children? Perhaps. After all, when she saw Lindsay, she felt her heart melt.
“My daughter is naturally adorable,” Christine replied.
“But Lindsay doesn’t look anything like you. Your gaze is so fierce, while Lindsay is so cute with her innocent eyes. She’s really adorable.” Linsay replied.
Randall remained silent. Did she say his gaze was fierce? This woman really didn’t know how to choose her words. His eyes were deep and profound!
“Lindsay doesn’t resemble you at all. She should look like her mommy, right? Her mommy should also have a pair of beautiful eyes.”
Randall’s expression darkened. Even though he had not looked closely at that woman, she was terribly ugly.
“No.”
Randall said with a cold tone, showing visibly that he had no intention of mentioning Lindsay’s mother.
This kind of man was heartless to deny any association with his woman after having fun with her.
Although Lindsay’s mother gave birth to their daughter, he was still cold and heartless.
“Mr. Reevés, it seems like you’re reluctant to mention Lindsay’s mother. Did something happen between you and Lindsay’s mother? Christine asked.
“Are you implying that I’ve been cheated on? What a joke. I’ll say it again, Lindsay doesn’t have a mother. Don’t mention it again! Randall replied.
Seeing Randall so arrogantly dismissive, it didn’t seem like he had been wronged by someone else.
It seemed that she was overthinking. She felt he had his own difficulties and was afraid she would wrong him.
In reality, he was heartless and denied any connection with Lindsay’s mother.
When Oliver and Milo grew up in the future, Christine wouldn’t stop them from teaching Randall a lesson. She wouldn’t hold them back.

At that moment, Christine suddenly felt a hot gaze from Randall, and she felt a little flustered.
The
way he looked at her was like there was something on her face.
“Why are you looking at me like that, Mr. Reeves?” Christine asked.
“You also have a pair of big eyes. Lindsay looks a lot like you. You resemble Lindsay’s mother, Randall said.
Christine let out a disdainful sneer. What a scumbag. He was undoubtedly a scumbag!
Even though Christine resembled Lindsay and she loved her dearly, when these words came out of Randall’s mouth, they were full of malice and deceit.
“Mr. Reeves, you must be joking. How could I be so fortunate to have such a lovely daughter like Lindsay?” Christine said.
Randall’s gaze deepened. “Marry me, and she will be your daughter.”
