Chapter 75
Previously, Randall was indifferent toward Blanche. It turned out that it was because he had a strong preference for ugliness! If Blanche had known, she would have disguised herself accordingly to cater to his tastes.
How could Christine be so lucky? Blanche’s face contorted with anger.
Duncan’s eyes showed a mix of hurt and anger, causing a slight stir in a corner of Christine’s heart. She felt a deep sense of melancholy. However, as soon as she saw Blanche standing next to Duncan, all the melancholy disappeared in an instant. Perhaps sensing Christine’s emotional fluctuations, Randall purposely embraced her as if declaring his sovereignty. Duncan’s gaze trembled, his hands clenched tightly as he seemed to be holding back something.
“Dr. Foster caught her cheated red–handed last time, and now they’re openly displaying their affection. Dr. Foster truly has become a tragic figure, the whispers around him went.
“Dr. Foster is really pitiful. He’s a virtuous man who doesn’t have earthly desires, yet he has encountered a fickle woman who likes to seduce other men. And not just any fickle woman, but a completely unattractive one.”
“Even if she’s unattractive, it didn’t stop her soaring luck. Marrying into a wealthy family is already a done deal. It truly makes people envious.”
Duncan couldn’t hear the murmurs around him as his eyes were fixed on the scene of Randall embracing Christine.
Elizabeth looked lovingly at Christine and said. “We’re waiting for you to cut the ribbon at the grand opening ceremony. You should go together.”
Christine politely replied. “Mrs. Elizabeth Reeves, Mrs. Daisy Reeves, you purchased the hotel. It is only fitting that you have the honor of cutting the ribbon.”
Daisy, who was standing beside them, said, “Nancy, you’re the owner of the hotel. You should go and not miss the moment.” Christine nodded slightly and followed Randall, not wanting to stay there and face Duncan’s scorching gaze.
As the onlookers watched Christine walk away with Randall, they were consumed with jealousy. How did she capture Randall’s heart? It was infuriating.
At that moment, many people were grinding their teeth in frustration.
Blanche’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
She absolutely could not let Christine be with Randall.
The distance from the hospital to the hotel was only 500 feet, and Christine initially thought of walking there.
However, she suddenly noticed that walking with Randall attracted a lot of attention from passersby.
So, she decided to follow Randall’s suggestion and got into his car.
In the car, Randall smirked and said, “Weren’t you refusing to accept this five–star hotel just now? Why are you suddenly so impatient to accept it?”
Randall’s question made Christine so angry that she wanted to punch him. After all, he had deceived her son!
Suppressing her anger, Christine forced a smile and replied, “Mr. Reeves, I have many flaws as a person. The only advantage I have is my love for money! How can I reject such a great opportunity that’s come knocking on my door? Especially when it’s a five–star hotel worth over a hundred million dollars. I’m not stupid. Why would I refuse?”
Christine spoke enthusiastically, as if afraid that others wouldn’t know that she was a little obsessed with money.
Randall’s eyes glistened as he smiled alluringly. “Is that so? It seemed I had misunderstood. I thought you had a connection with the Magnate, and after hearing that I tricked the Magnate, you accepted the hotel to seek revenge on his behalf.”
Hearing Randall’s words, Christine’s gaze froze. How could this bastard be so shrewd?
But in an instant, she regained her composure and appeared radiant.
She looked at Randall, and her face had a smiling expression. “Everyone wants to establish a connection with the Magnate, right? But I think the Magnate you mentioned is different from what I had in mind.”
Randall remained unruffled as he calmly said, “The Magnate is a code name for a financial titan”
“I don’t know the Magnate you’re referring to, but I’m a little obsessed with money. My son, Milo, says that my financial luck
is exceptionally strong. It’s incredibly accurate. After all, I effortlessly obtained a five–star hotel worth over a hundred million dollars. I can’t earn that much money in my whole life. It’s amazing. I obtain it without any effort, which is so satisfying.”
Christine said this on purpose. Her goal was to make Randall feel he had suffered a huge loss.
Chapter 75
After all, she knew that the hotel was given to her by the two madams of the Reeves family, and Randall was previously
unaware of it.
In the crowded situation carlier, she pretended to be indifferent to save face.
Now that they were alone, she used all her tricks to provoke Randall and make him feel the pain. After all, he had deceived
her son.
Randall looked at Christine’s self–satisfied and money–hungry appearance and didn’t feel any aversion. Instead, he found it interesting.
He raised an eyebrow slightly, looked at Christine, and said in a gentle voice, “Your little mischief–maker tell you that your financial luck is particularly strong lately. But did he also tell you that your destined partner has arrived yet?”
At that moment, the car stopped in the underground parking lot, and as soon as the car came to a halt, Randall leaned forward, causing Christine’s eyes to shimmer.
The words “your destined partner has arrived” echoed in her ears.
Destined partner? How could she still believe in any destined partner in this lifetime?
She had lost hope in love, and now, for the sake of her two sons, she didn’t want any kind of romantic relationship.
Christine spoke resolutely and haughtily, “I don’t need god to give me a romantic relationship, I only wish for more money. The destined partner that you mentioned, I don’t need it.”
Randall looked at the woman beneath him. They were so close that only he could fit into her eyes.
However, when she spoke, her eyes were so clear, devoid of any desire, yet they held a transcendent and otherworldly quality.
It didn’t seem like she was alluring him. But if she weren’t acting, how could she explain her previous actions?
Randall’s fingers, with distinct knuckles, lightly pinched Christine’s chin.
He pondered what kind of woman she was. What was her true intention in getting close to him?
At the same time. Christine thought did this despicable man want to take advantage of her again?
Just as Christine was about to shake off Randall’s hand, a face suddenly pressed against the window on the passenger side. “Boss, a parking spot has been arranged for you upstairs. Why did you come to the underground parking lot?”
Derick’s voice abruptly halted. He froze completely.
What did he see?
He saw his boss pressing down on that woman, and his actions seemed like that of a voyeur.
Derick was scared and kept retreating.
It was over. He was going to be fired.
This time, his boss would definitely send him to the branch office in Idos.
Derick was so scared that his face turned pale…
Christine remained calm and nonchalant, her voice slightly raised, “Mr. Reeves, your man has arrived. It seems he was quite frightened. Mr. Reeves, you really have a deep sin.”
As Christine spoke, there was a hint of smugness in her eyes. Her voice was bewitching. It captivated all who heard it as if she had a little hook that tickled everyone’s heart.
Randall didn’t know what had come over him, but suddenly he lost control and kissed her passionately on her luscious, red lips.
Initially, Christine was merely teasing Randall, but the sudden touch of his cold lips on hers made her widen her eyes in surprise.
Randall had actually… kissed her!
In a fluster, Christine pushed Randall away, then covered her lips that had just been kissed, and exclaimed, “Randall Reeves, you… you… you actually kissed me?”
