The Gay Nerd Who Stole His Heart

Chapter 21

Kylan climbed into Jonah's vehicle.

They drifted onto the parking lot and distanced themselves from the school. Jonah had asked Kylan to drive home together, and although he was worried about Ella, she was not speaking to him. The entire day had been rough, and with a sigh, his nose occasionally in pain, he leaned against the window.

Jonah glanced in Kylan's direction and observing the depressive regard was causing his stomach to clench, which was an aspect he did not exactly favor. He cared, and it pissed him off how every single of Kylan's expression and movement could affect him as well. He shook his head, returning his eyes towards the road as he said, "Lighten up, you're acting like you're going to die."

Kylan bit his bottom lip stressfully, pushing the glasses higher above the bridge of his nose, "Ella's really mad."

He shrugged his shoulders, "She'll come around." When only silence replied to him, he said, "If it makes you feel any better, Bradley isn't talking to me either." Kylan's raised his chin in Jonah's direction, shocked. "He's been avoiding me the entire day, so has most of the people I hang out with."

"I'm sorry-"

"Shut up," Jonah hissed with annoyance, "don't apologize to me unless you do something wrong."

Kylan gulped, "It somewhat is my fault, though—"

"You're annoying me now," he grumbled.

"I don't mean to annoy you," he murmured sadly.

Jonah glanced in his direction, pushing raising his hand and pushing Kylan's head. He almost bumped his skull against the window and placed his palm where Jonah had touched him. There were warm tingles that caused his heart to warm as well, an effect Jonah always had. He still could not believe that he was sitting in a vehicle beside his biggest crush for two years, and suddenly he fell flustered.

Jonah smirked and quietly uttered, "It's cute when you get all flustered." Kylan's face grew red, and Jonah ended up blushing as well, turning his face so that Kylan would not notice.

They arrived at Jonah's home, and Kylan descended, unable to stop gazing at how humongous the mansion was. He had been here before, but he was hangover and drowsy even to notice how it was, and this was the first he seriously took a look. Jonah scoffed when he noticed Kylan's mesmerized gaze examining every single detail and began walking towards the side entrance, "If you don't want to be locked outside, you better get in," he said sternly, and Kylan raced behind him. He was surprised to find a butler waiting at the door, and Jonah nodded his head towards him. "Prince, you've returned," the man said, and Jonah smiled.

"Gregor, this is my friend Kylan."

"Pleased to meet you," he greeted, very polite and respectfully, that Kylan was unsure what to reply.

Jonah narrowed his eyes in his direction when he failed to answer, and Kylan straightened his spine awkwardly, "Uh yea nice to meet you too."

"Are your parents aware that you have a guest?"

Jonah shook his head as he headed towards the stairs, "Don't tell them, please."

"I won't," and Jonah knew he would.

They headed to his bedroom, and Kylan familiarized himself with its surroundings. Immediately when Jonah closed the door behind him, he felt a bit awkward, and Jonah sighed, "Make yourself at home."

Kylan stood upright, unsure where to sit. Therefore, he remained standing. When Jonah noticed how stiff he was, he raised an eyebrow, "You've been here before, Ky; sit anywhere you want."

Kylan gulped, "Yea, you're right." He was still quite in discomfort, anxiously reaching his desk chair and slowly taking a seat, but he seemed very tense.

Jonah rolled his eyes and stood from his bed, walking towards Kylan before placing his palms against the armrests of the chair Kylan was sitting on. He then leaned forward and placed his lips slowly on Kylan's, connecting them with passion and gentleness that all of Kylan's muscles suddenly felt to have completely decomposed into jelly. His hormones started racing, swirling butterflies in his stomach that he instinctively reached forward, placing his palm against Jonah's toned pecs, only to be separated from as Jonah stepped backward, "Let's not get carried away."

He observed Kylan's swollen and red lips as he turned away embarrassingly, "Sorry."

"You're going to have to learn not to apologize so much when you're around me. It's a pet peeve," he stated, returning to sit on his bed. "By the way, I found the senior who tripped you; they were bragging about it in my history class." Kylan's eyes widened, "Did you do something?"

"Absolutely not. I would never do something that could damage my reputation and career," he scoffed, "but I'll get him expelled."

"You don't have to go that far..."

"Trust me," Jonah smirked, "I want to. That was uncalled for, and you could've broken your nose. You were bleeding for a good hour." Kylan remained quiet as he squeezed his fingers, biting his bottom lip and scratching the back of his head. "My father being the mayor, I can get anything done."

Kylan nodded his head; he had completely forgotten about that fact. His father was, in fact, the mayor, which was another reason Kylan suddenly felt anxious about being present in this beautiful home. Jonah immediately noticed how uneasy he became from that comment and sighed, "You don't have to be scared. They'll like you."

Kylan once again nodded his head.

Jonah frowned, an idea popping into his mind, "We should do something. You've been through a lot today."

After a shrug of his shoulders, he said, "What should we do?"

That was how they ended up at Foresthill Beach, a three-hour away beach located north of their city. It was somewhat cold outside from the wind, which was why Kylan had borrowed a large sweater of Jonah's; it was a bit higher than him, but the smell was what caused him to feel at ease. It was a hint of cologne and laundry softener, and every hit made his body feel warmer. Jonah parked the car beside it and descended from the vehicle, telling Kylan to hold on before making his way around and opening the door for him.

Kylan blushes fiercely but accepted Jonah's extended palm as he helped him descend from the vehicle gracefully. When he did, Jonah's palm found his, and their fingers interlaced, Kylan following him as he guided the way. As they approached the sand, Jonah stopped in his tracks and said, "Let's take off our shoes here."

The sound of the waves was so relaxing and soothing that Kylan thought he could even fall asleep here. They marched for a few minutes, simply enjoying the presence of one another, before Jonah stopped and said, "Let's sit here." They sat down, and Jonah wrapped an arm around Kylan's shoulders. Kylan was no longer nervous, nor was he uneasy. It felt as if he had always known Jonah, always been in his company, and as he leaned in again his shoulder, he could hear his slow heartbeat. Even the gentle massaging from his palm as he caressed him made his heart calm down.

Jonah started the conversation, "I never really had a hard life. My father became mayor recently, but he was always successful. My mom used to be a stay-home mom, but she started working in a nursery when he started getting busy. My dad hates that, but he can't exactly stop her."

Kylan nodded his head, "Do you see them around?"

"No, Gregor is more of a father figure to me than my own dad. He was never really around when I was growing up; it was mostly my mother. They used to fight a lot, though."

"Do you have siblings?"

"Yes, I have an older brother and sister. Do you?"

"I do not-"

"I shouldn't have asked that; that was insensitive," Jonah whispered nervously as he tightened his grip around Kylan. He had completely forgotten what Kylan had said that one time he was mad, how his mother's passing had been from his birth. It had slipped his mind, and his comment had been out-of-line.

Kylan shook his head slowly, "It's fine, but I consider Ella my sibling."

"What is Ella to you, by the way?" he asked.

"She's my cousin, but her family basically raised me since my father was always in and out."

"That's really sweet of her."

Kylan nodded his head in agreement, "She's been there for me a lot."

"I wanted to ask you something," Jonah cleared his throat, "when did you know you were gay?"

"In elementary school," Kylan chuckled, "I was really close with this guy named Pete, who was my friend, and I ended up telling him that I really like him. Except that was when I realized that my like was different than his." "Bold move, never expected that from you."

He shrugged his shoulders, "That's when I realized I never really stared at girls. I never really came out of the closet either. I mean, I don't hide it, but I've never announced it."

"Why do you still date girls then?"

"I don't completely hate girls; I still find them cute and pretty. It still makes me blush when they compliment me. I only date them because they make me happy for a period of time. You'd be surprised how loving and affectionate girls are." "Trust me, I know," Jonah laughed. "My ex-girlfriend, her name was Leah. She would come to my doorsteps if I didn't answer the phone, insane, right? Girls can be dramatic."

Kylan smiled after a chuckle but lowered his head, falling into his thoughts. When he had been quiet for a few minutes, Jonah whispered, "What are you thinking, Ky?"

"I just..." he sighed, "I don't know."

"Why are you so worried about us? We haven't even started dating, and you've been freaking out. We've been talking for a day."

"Put it in my perspective," he pushed his glasses further up his bridge, "You're the most handsome senior at our school, student-athlete with excellent grades and wealthy background. You could get any girl in the school-" "And I'm next to you," he cooed, placing his lips against Kylan's cheek.

"I know, but I just don't understand why."

Jonah shrugged, "To be honest, I don't understand why either. But after the night we spent together, every time you were around me, I got weirdly nervous. I even got butterflies in my stomach when you'd talk to me. When I'd kiss you, I'd have to rapidly turn away since I'd blush too hard, and when I'd see you with other girls, I just wanted to pound your face in. I was craving that night again so bad, and I wanted you to be mine. Even seeing you upset was physically painful; there's something specifically about you that I don't understand, neither can I control. But that being said, there must be a reason why I feel this way, and I can't keep ignoring it."

"But, what if those feelings go away?"

"Then they go away, Kylan, but that doesn't mean we should not try. I like you, alright? So stop worrying so bad," he hissed.

When Kylan sighed stressfully, Jonah rolled his eyes in annoyance and pushed himself to his feet. He extended his palm for Kylan, who confusingly grabbed it, being helped to his feet. They interlaced their fingers, and Jonah guided Kylan to the waves.

"I'm not going in that "

"You don't have to. But when you see me, you for sure will want to," Jonah winked, stopping right before the water and stripped himself of his shirt. He also removed his pants, only in his boxers, and Kylan could not pull his eyes away from his body. All his muscles were toned, his skin was fairly tanned, and as he turned around with a wide smile, Kylan felt his throat clench on itself; he was too beautiful. He felt his skin become warm, and he touched his face, attempting to hide the redness.

Jonah cackled, "Don't worry, it's all for you, Kylan."

That made the blush worse, and before Kylan could protest, Jonah raced into the water and laughed as he stepped in. He dove inside, lowering his body until the water reached his neck, and waved for Kylan to enter. Kylan shook his head.

"Come on, Ky," he pouted, "please?"

After a groan, Kylan stripped himself from his sweater, and he was about to enter the waves before Jonah protested, "Take off your shirt and your pants." "I'm not sure about that-"

"It's only you and I, Kylan," he said, marching towards him. As he exited the water, Kylan gulped, feeling his palms moisten and saliva in his mouth as the water dripped from Jonah's body, running along all the lines in between his pecs and his abs. It ran down his arms, and his wet hair that he sent backward was causing his heart to palpitate.

Jonah approached him, and before Kylan knew it, Jonah placed his lips against Kylan's. As their kiss remained gentle, Jonah included a lip bite that caused a soft moan to escape Kylan's mouth. He then subtly reached from the end of Kylan's shirt, his fingers playing with the edge, and Kylan instinctively raised his hands, allowing Jonah to pull the shirt over his head and immediately return his lips afterward. He then asked for entrance with his tongue, glazing it along his lips, and Kylan allowed it. However, although Kylan usually was the one dominating, Jonah was much more brute than him, and as Jonah's fingers found the edge of his pants, unzipping the front, Kylan let him since he was focused on the kiss. He started pulling them down, and Kylan kicked them off.

However, once that was done, Jonah did not stop kissing him, rather tightened his grip around him, placing an arm around his waist and pressing Kylan's entire body against his. It was not long until he finally separated himself from Kylan, and Kylan was quite confused. He suddenly realized that Jonah had guided him to the water, and they were already waist-deep.

Jonah smiled, "See, you're in the water."

Kylan laughed, splashing water in Jonah's face, who responded by doing the same. Soon, an entire water war occurred, with Jonah diving in the water and grabbing Kylan's by his legs, pulling him for him to trip. However, when they both found themselves underwater, Jonah reached forward and again connected their lips. They surfaced the water with their lips still against one another, and when they did pull away, Kylan was genuinely smiling.

He was having a rough day, but this was helping him forget about what had happened, which he was ultimately thankful for. Therefore, as Jonah raised an eyebrow in his direction, Kylan said, "Thank you, Jonah. I really appreciate this." Jonah shook his head, "Don't ever say something that soft to me."
