Our Journey Back To Love

Chapter 53

Chapter 53

Leading the way, Brian and his group approached.

In a light blue ski suit, Bernard jogged over and pointed toward Stella. “Brian, look! Your wife is out there

with another man!” he exclaimed.

Brian glanced over.

Dressed in a light pink ski suit and colorful goggles, Stella practiced skiing under Yoel’s guidance.

Though Brian couldn’t see her expression, her lips curled into a subtle smile. It was a clear indication that she was enjoying herself.

Brian looked away with a deep frown as a chill settled over his features.

Stella was deliberately ignoring Brian.

Aware of his presence captivating the other women, she refused to let him dictate her emotions. Without

a glance in his direction, she focused on practicing skiing with Yoel.

Stella chose snowboarding, which was similar to skateboarding, where you secure your feet into bindings. With Yoel’s assistance, she rose to her feet.

But as soon as she stood up, she lost her balance and was about to fall

“Watch out!” Yoel grabbed her hand and steadied her

Stella felt the gazes from afar turn noticeably colder

Ignoring the chill that snaked down her spine, she forced a smile at Yoel. ‘Thank you,” she said.

“Don’t worry,” Yoel reassured her, his hand guiding hers for a gentle glide across the snow. “Everyone stumbles when they are first learning to snowboard.”

With a cold stare, Bernard turned to Brian. “This woman is blatantly cheating on you, and you don’t event

react?

The word ‘cheating‘ sent a chill across Brian’s features.  S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FɪndNøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Sitting beside Bernard, Jessica softly explained, “There’s been a misunderstanding: Stella and Brian’s marriage was arranged. They feel absolutely nothing for each other and have lived separate lives for a long time.”

Bernard and Joseph were struck speechless upon hearing this.

Bernard couldn’t comprehend. “What do you mean they live separate lives?”

Jessica explained, “Marriage is just a title for them. They live separately, and they don’t care who the other one dates. They’re practically strangers.”

Benard might have believed this

But Joseph didn’t. Since Brian was hurt by his wife, there must have been some feelings between them,

even if they were living separately.

He watched as Jessica pulled Bernard aside. Turning to Brian, Joseph asked, “Is it true, Brian? Are you and your wife living separate lives?”

Brian didn’t respond.

Meanwhile, Bernard asked Jessica, “But if they’re already living apart, why doesn’t Brian get a divorce and be with you?”

Jessica’s face was filled with sadness. “As you know, Stella’s father arranged this marriage. They have something on Brian, so getting a divorce isn’t easy for him.”

That’s true.

Everyone knew that Brian had been forced into it.

Jessica said, “Bernard, I have a favor to ask. I don’t know if you’re willing to help me.”

“What is it?”

Jessica looked at him and said, “Actually, I think I know why Stella’s dragging her feet on the divorce. Maybe she’s hoping to snag a rich guy before she finally leaves Brian.”

Jessica was implying that Stella was a gold digger.

Bernard’s eyes flashed with a chilling glint.

“Stella’s currently with Yoel. If he remains interested, she’ll likely get a divorce. But… Jessica looked

worried.

“But what?” Bernard looked at her.

Jessica sighed and said, “There’s something about Stella that rubs me the wrong way. Yoel is my friend, and I can’t help but worry he’ll get hurt in the end.”

She stopped there, leaving the rest unspoken.

Jessica’s words implied Bernard should punish the gold digger.

Bernard understood Jessica’s meaning. He glanced at Stella, who was playing happily with Yoel.

A cold gleam crossed Bernard’s eyes. And then he had an idea.

A gold digger, huh?

Fine, he would go after this gold digger and then dump her. He would make her regret it for the rest of her

life!
