Waking up in the white room wasn’t a shocker. It feels like I spend more of my time in these rooms than anywhere else anymore. Letting out a Huff I mind-linked Kade.

‘Where is everyone?’ I asked, gradually moving from the bed to where my clothes sat on the chair across the room. Grabbing my clothes I walked into the bathroom to change. My reflection showed all the gold scratches that covered my body, and another on my head. Must have been the one to knock me out.

‘I’ll be there in a few love, we need to talk.’ Kade’s voice floated into my mind.

After getting dressed I sat on the bed and waited for Kade.

DING.

DING.

I looked over my shoulder to the stand next to the bed, a phone lit up with incoming messages. A note sat next to the phone.

′ This is for you love, your other phone was ruined. -Kade ′

Unlocking the phone, A few unread messages popped up on the screen. Mostly from Avi.

Message Received From Avi 6:01 A.M. : Hey bitch, text me when you wake. Or mind link me idc.

Message Received From Avi 6:15 A.M. : Girrrrrrrl, wake uppppp. We got shit to do.

Message Received From Avi 6:36 A.M. : You up?

Message Received From Avi 6:50 A.M. : Oh for God’s sake you can’t be out still, I swear if you’re ignoring me I’m going to kick your ass. Alpha or not.

Laughing at Avis texts I decided to reply.

Message Sent To Avi 6:52 A.M. : New phone, who this? - Sleeping Beauty

DING.

Message Received From Avi 6:53 A.M. : UGH! FINALLY! I’ll be there in a few.

The door creaked open, His scent filling the room as he walked in. Looking up I couldn’t help but return the smile that was plastered on Kade’s face, His green eyes lighting up. God’s he is so handsome.

“Glad to see you’re finally up, you had me worried love.” He spoke as he hugged me to his chest.

“I missed you to Kade, so what did you need to talk to me about?” I asked settling into his embrace further. Kade let go of me and stepped back. Reaching behind his neck and rubbing his hand along his neck.

“Well, Cassie. She’s challenging you in front of the pack this time, properly, for your position as my mate.”

Seriously? This has to be a joke. God’s why couldn’t she let this go! Growling out I asked “When Kade.”

“The next moon, My father is allowing you time to train. Since Cassie is a Beta she’s trained most of her life.” Kade said, exhaling a breath.

“One month. Fine, I accept.” I watched Kade’s expression change to one of concern.

“I’ll be fine, I’ve fought bigger wolves than her Kade. Besides, You’re Mine. Nothing will stand in the way of what’s mine.” I said letting my hand trail along his jaw as I placed a soft kiss on his lips.

Kade leaned further into the kiss, bringing his hands to my waist to press us closer together. Just as the kiss started to grow more heated the door to the room flew open.

" Step away from the Girl, and no one will be harmed.” Avi’s joking voice broke through our kiss. Groaning, Kade released me from his hold, placing a soft kiss on my lips. “School starts at 8:15, I’ll see you soon love.”

Oh shit. I forgot about school. “Girl come on, we need to pick out an outfit for you!” Avi grabbed my hand, dragging me away from Kade.

“See you soon Kade!” I shouted as I was pulled from the room.

Reaching Avi’s room, she pushed me in quickly. “Okay, we have less than an hour to do this. Outfit, Make up, Hair. Go.” I laughed at her outwards monologue.

“Try this one!” Avi said, throwing an outfit into my arms and pushing me into the bathroom.

Putting on the distressed navy-colored jeans, with a charcoal gray colored tank top and black cardigan. I looked at myself in the mirror, The whole outfit highlighted and wrapped around my curves perfectly. Opening the door I looked at Avi “I like this, what do you think?”

“Damn girl! You’re going to drive Kade crazy with those curves. Oh! I have the perfect shoes for this!” Avi went back to throwing clothes around the room. I’ll be fine with whatever. Just anything but heels, please.

“Found them!” Avi shouted, popping up from a pile of clothes, I laughed at her as she did. “Here try these on”

I laced up the black booties, They had a small heel but wide enough to where I wouldn’t fall on my face.

“Perfect! Next is make-up Babe!” Avi pushed me into the vanity chair and began her work.

20 minutes passed and she was moving onto hair now.

“Finished! Take a look beautiful.” Avi said turning me towards the mirror.

My make-up was natural, Avi used various browns to make my hazel eye color pop, and My hair was curled enough to cascade in lazy waves. “Wow, you’re really good at this Avi. Thanks!” I said as I played with my hair. Avi smacked my hand away from the luscious waves “Don’t mess those up. You don’t touch perfection.” Her face was serious, slowly I raised my hands in defeat away from my hair.

“Okay fair enough Avi.”

“Alright now go downstairs and eat, wheels up in 30 girl!” Avi shouted from the bathroom.

Walking down the stairs, I made my way into the kitchen. Voices carried from the room, Two of them familiar. Kades and Cassies.

“Come on Kade baby, I’m so much better than her and you know it.”

“Enough Cassie! Madi is my mate. Leave me alone.”

“I’ll be yours soon enough Kade, One more month and we can finally be together babe!” Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. The anger was slowly bubbling up as I pushed my way into the room.

“Oh look what the wolf dragged in, How was your Fall Madi? Oops, I meant sleep.” Her humorless laugh resounded in the room.

Growling low in the back of my throat “That was a cheap shot and you know it, Cassie. I’m looking forward to making you submit on the next moon.”
