Chapter 63
Chapter 63
It was not yet time for me to reveal my bottom card. I didn’t want to let the situation get out of control.
“If he asks me why I got so close to you, how do I explain?” Tristan also anticipated this question. He already knew Frederic very well.
“Aren’t you a doctor? What field?” I asked.
“Cardiovascular,” Tristan replied.
“Ah! Dr. Shelton, my stomach hurts so much. I might have gastritis. Please treat me in the future!” I held my stomach, exaggerating my acting for a few seconds.
Then I saw Tristan’s cold face turn gloomy.

He said, “Your illness is not within the scope of my treatment.”
“When Ruben was hospitalized, it wasn’t even a cardiovascular issue. When you were substituting, you still managed him the same way, didn’t you?” I said confidently. “Doctors save lives. How can you still differentiate between patients to treat and patients not to treat? You lack medical ethics.”
“Sylvia, are you an idiot?” Tristan was somewhat speechless.
“Otherwise, how would we have a reason to contact? How would you explain it to Frederic? Fine, you can’t cure my stomachache, then say I have an irregular heartbeat and you have treated me. Can’t you tell a little white lie with good intentions?” I was a little angry. Tristan was clearly refusing to help me.

Davin and Jaylen kept looking over at us. Feeling a bit tipsy from the alcohol, I got up and sat back down next to Tristan, leaning my arm around him. “If you don’t help me, I’ll just sit on your lap right now. After all, you can’t explain anything anyway.”
“Sylvia, have some self–respect!” Tristan angrily let go of my hand and stood up.
“We had an affair, isn’t that enough to explain why we got closer?” My face was burning. The alcohol was getting to me. I started speaking incoherently. “You have no morals, and no intelligence…”
Tristan was both embarrassed and annoyed. His cheeks seemed to be slightly flushed. He gritted his teeth and stared at me for a while. After realizing that I seemed to be drunk, he turned around and walked toward Davin and the others.
I lay down on the seat and took a nap. My head was spinning.
I thought Tristan had ignored me. I didn’t expect that one minute later, he came back and grabbed my arm, helping me up. We walked outside the bar.
Unfortunately, my blurred eyes couldn’t see Davin’s expression at that moment. His expression should be similar to Greta’s when she saw me getting off Frederic’s car.
“Tristan, I told you…” Sitting in the car, fragmented images from my previous life kept flashing in my mind. I said, “Actually, Emilia is just like that. Why do you have to love her? Look at me. I have let go…”
These were the words I wanted to advise him before I passed away in my previous life. It’s not worth doing it for Emilia.
He was not Frederic. He had always been a very clean man and should not have ended up like that for an ordinary woman. Most importantly, he lost to Frederic.

Tristan turned his head to look at me, his expression complex. As I continued speaking, I fell asleep.
I never expected that Tristan didn’t take me back to Maple Villa, but instead brought me to a hotel and settled me in a room. I only realized this the next day when I woke up.
On the phone, there was a Line friend request sent by Tristan. Previously, we only contacted each other through phone numbers.
I held my slightly aching head with one hand and clicked “pass” with the other.
Tristan sent a message saying, “If you wake up, come to the hospital and make an appointment with the cardiovascular department. Choose me.”
I immediately realized. He agreed to help me hide it from Frederic, and he was also prepared.
I quickly replied, “Okay, I’m coming right away!”
