Chapter 64
Chapter 64
I hurriedly arrived at the hospital and got an appointment with a specialist named Tristan.
I waited in line for half a day. Finally, it was my turn. He glanced at me and then pointed to a chair next to him. “Sit for a while.”
“Oh, okay,” I sat down beside him. Tristan had already called the next patient in.
Tristan was very diligent in his work He wore a pair of gold–rimmed glasses, giving him a cultured appearance. As I listened to him communicate with patients. I became even more convinced of one thing. That is, a man like him really doesn’t need to compete with Frederic for Emilia. He deserves a better woman. Why did he end up in such a sorry state in the end?
After about ten minutes, Tristan said to me, “You can go now.”
I didn’t ask much either. I just got up and left.
I called Marcel. Half an hour later. Marcel arrived at the hospital entrance to pick me up. After I got in the car, he asked with concern, “Mrs. Hudson, are you feeling unwell?”
“My heart felt uncomfortable.” I replied casually.
“Did you do the check?” Marcel asked again.
“I guess I didn’t get enough rest,” I replied nonchalantly.
Marcel nodded. “Mrs. Hudson. you should take more rest.“.

I really need to pay attention to rest, otherwise I will easily gain a few grams and have to lose them again. The ideal weight for someone of my height is around 60 kilograms. Even if I were to be a little thinner, I would still need to reach over 50 kilograms. But now I am only 45 kilograms.
Women who weigh less than 50 kilograms are either flat–chested or short. I sighed.
The first thing I did when I returned to Maple Villa was to instruct Kira to cook. Kira looked a bit strange. Before she went to cook, she whispered to me, “Mrs. Hudson, Mr Hudson is upstairs.”
“When did he come back?” I was somewhat surprised.
“Mr. Hudson came back last night and asked me why you weren’t at home. I could tell he seemed to be in a bad mood,” Kira replied.
“Alright, I got it.” I waved my hand and then stood up to go upstairs.
Frederic was working in his study. The files on his desk were far from tidy, even quite messy. He didn’t mind at all and always managed to find the information he needed effortlessly. A smell of smoke lingered in the study. He had a half–burnt cigarette between his fingertips.
I coughed twice as I was choked. He looked up from a pile of documents, his gaze sharp and icy.
“Do you still remember coming back” Frederic extinguished his cigarette, his voice cold.
“How did you come back last night?” I was still wondering. Shouldn’t Frederic have gone to see Emilia?
“Then where do you think I should go?” Frederic asked in return.
He was fine wherever he went, but it was very strange when he stayed
at home.
I shook my head. “I don’t know either I’m going to take a shower. I’ll be eating later.”
I hadn’t even stepped out of the study when Frederic spoke again. There was a hint of jealousy in his tone that I wasn’t quite sure about. “Where did you spend the night last night?”
This question made me inexplicably guilty. Although I had no relationship with Tristan, he took me to the hotel after I got drunk and
helped me keep certain secrets from Frederic. Thinking about it, I realized that I wasn’t innocent either
“The hotel.” I mumbled in response.
“One person?” Frederic’s gaze deepened slightly.
I nodded. I did sleep alone indeed.
Frederic’s face relaxed a bit, and then he continued to lower his head and work, ignoring me.
Sometimes I wonder why I tolerated Frederic for the past ten years.
