Rebecca glanced up and met Nadia’s eyes. 

The corner of her mouth curled up as she teased, “Can’t you see? You have to move out, and from now on, here will be mine and Jim’s love nest.” 

Nadia couldn’t believe her cars. She frowned tightly and questioned sternly, “Are you sure? If you don’t stop. I have no choice but to call the police.” 

“Call the police? The police have no right to interfere in a couple’s quarrel, Jim sneered and said. 

“Who told you that the police have no right to interfere? I rented this house, and I paid a year’s rent, 6,000 dollars. If you guys want to live here, pay me the money!” 

After saying that, she pulled out her cell phone to show her bank card information. 

Jim stopped the movements in his hands when he heard that. Originally, he thought that by kicking Nadia out, Rebecca could move in with him.

“You got the money, right? What are you waiting for? Take your stuff and get out!” Rebecca said as she glanced at Nadia. 

Nadia thought to herself, “Jim, if you’re unkind to me, don’t blame me for being unkind to you.” 

“Get out? I think you two should be the ones to get out! 

“Jim, let’s settle the score between the two of us, shall we? Your total living expenses and tuition fees for these two years are 40 thousand dollars. If you give it back to me now, I’ll leave right away.” 

As saying that in a leisurely manner, Nadia took out a note from her bag. 

“Settle what score? Don’t…” 

Although Nadia had paid for Jim’s living expenses and tuition fees in the past two years, Nadia had nothing to prove he owed. her the money. And even if evidence was found, it could be considered a gift.

“It’s fake. I never signed anything like that.” Jim panicked, especially when he saw that last line on the note. It said that he would pay back the money within a year of his graduation, and it was at least 40 thousand dollars. He did not want to pay back Nadia’s money. 

“This is what you signed with your own handwriting, and your fingerprints were also put on it by your own hand,” Nadia said in a cold tone. 

Jim could recognize his own handwriting, but he did not remember when he signed it. 

“Get the hell out of here or I’ll go into the kitchen and get a knife to kill you.” 

Nadia yelled out, pointing at the door. 

“You… You shrew…” Jim pointed at Nadia’s nose and yelled out. 

Chapter 2 

Nadia could not control it anymore. She raised her hand and squeezed one of Jim’s fingers tightly and fiercely. 

“Ahh! Ouch! 

“It hurts! My finger is broken!” 

Jim’s piercing screams echoed throughout the entire building, and as he held his injured finger in his other hand, the pain made him keep bending and spinning. 

“Nadia, are you crazy?” Rebecca pushed Nadia away. 

Seeing Jim crying in pain, Rebecca quickly approached and asked, “Jim, are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?” 

“My finger is broken. Do you think I should go to the hospital or not?” 

After saying that, Rebecca helped Jim walk toward the door of the rental house and walked away. 

“Nadia, you’ll wait and see,” Rebecca said fiercely. 

“I’m waiting. Jim, if you don’t pay me back the 40 thousand dollars, I’m telling you, I’ll beat you every time when I see you, and the next time I see you again, I’ll break your front teeth.” 

Looking at the back of the two, Nadia couldn’t help but shed tears from the corners of her eyes. 

What exactly did she do wrong? One was her best friend, and one was her boyfriend, and they both betrayed her.

But now it seemed that this bch of a couple might have been together for a long time. Seeing these things, Nadia felt nausea. 

Nadia tightly pressed her chest and bent slightly. She almost vomited out. 

She threw all the things in Jim’s room into the trash can at the door in one go.. 

Just as she was upstairs sitting on the sofa preparing to take a break, she suddenly received a call from her sister. 

“Nadia, Grandma’s examination result has come out. It’s cancer, and it has spread. She must undergo surgery immediately, and with the addition of chemotherapy in the later stage, the doctor said the surgery cost will be 120 thousand dollars,” Elena Leach said anxiously with a crying voice on the other end of the line.
