Chapter 3
Nadia’s mouth widened in shock at Daisy’s words.
Had Daisy been tracking and investigating her?
It seemed that Daisy knew everything about her. “Nadia, what are you thinking about?”
Nadia frowned and said in a low voice sheepishly. “I’m not thinking anything!”
“I told you a long time ago that your boyfriend is unreliable. I was right, wasn’t I? I ran into him downstairs from your house. earlier getting into a cab with a woman with big wavy hair and they were very close.
“You can count how many times you have refused me. No matter what, you can’t refuse me again this time. You’ll meet my grandson tomorrow at nine o’clock, UI Cafe.”
“L…”
Without waiting for Nadia to say anything, Daisy hung up the phone.
Speaking of Daisy, she fainted in the restroom a few months ago, and Nadia just happened to be there. Nadia called an ambulance and the timely rescue saved her life.
Since then. Daisy had gone to the flower shop to find Nadia every once in a while and brought her a variety of snacks. The relationship between them had become better and better. Daisy insisted on making Daisy her grandson’s wife.
Nadia refused Daisy many times on the grounds that she had a boyfriend.
This time, if Nadia refused again, she would probably break Daisy’s heart.
But her own grandmother’s medical expenses were still unsettled. How could she have the mood to go on a blind date?
Nadia hurriedly called Daisy back, only to hear a sound from the other line of the phone. “Sorry, the number you have dialed is turned off.”
Daisy was sitting on the sofa, and as soon as she hung up the phone, she saw her grandson holding a briefcase with a cold. face. He walked in with his assistant as if someone owed him billions of dollars without paying back.
Her grandson was 28 years old. Not only he never had a girlfriend, in fact, not a single woman was seen around him.
Her grandson was a good–looking man. He was 6.1 feet tall, and his facial features were quite regular. He had thick eyebrows and big eyes, a straight nose, and a sharp and angular face. Daisy thought in her heart, “He does look like me.
“But why isn’t he like me when it comes to looking for his partner?”
She married her husband when she was 20 years old. At 28 years old, she was already the mother of three children.
No matter what, she would have her grandson and Nadia date tomorrow and make them be together.
If she did not take action, it would take her a long time to have her great–grandchildren.
Thinking of her great–grandchildren, the corners of Daisy’s mouth curved up into a smile imperceptibly.
Daisy picked up the coffee in her hand and took a sip. “You brat, if I don’t call you back, are you not coming back? Do you still have your grandma in your heart?”
Daisy pretended to be angry and said.
Her grandson James Howe frowned and placed his briefcase on the coffee table, sitting next to her with a smiling face.
“Oh, grandma. I’m sorry 1 was busy with the company, but didn’t I come back as soon as you gave me a call?”
James had a cold face when he entered the door. As soon as he saw his grandmother, it felt like he was a different person, holding his grandmother’s hand and speaking softly.
He was raised by his grandmother alone. As the new president of the Howe Group, no matter how busy he was in the company, he would put down everything and come back to accompany his grandmother as long as his grandmother made a phone call to him.
“Yes, you’re a good boy. If you’re really a good boy, go to the UI Café tomorrow morning at nine o’clock to meet Nadia, the girl I mentioned to you before.”
After Daisy finished her words, she placed her coffee cup on the coffee table, looking at James with a serious expression.
As soon as James heard the name “Nadia“, he furrowed his brows.
Why did his grandmother like Nadia so much?
The name “Nadia” was ringing in his ears. Was she really that amazing?
From the expression on his grandmother’s face, James suspected that if he once again refused to promise his grandmother to see Nadia tomorrow, his grandmother would take a knife and kill him.
Chapter 3
Although his grandmother looked so kind, she could definitely do such a thing.
Even so, he still wanted to try to refuse “Grandma. I’m so handsome. Do I still need to go on a blind date? If someone who knows me knows that I still need to rely on blind dates to find a partner, wouldn’t I bring shame to our family?
*Besides, it’s not like I’m the only grandson you have.”
James said with a helpless face.
“It’s true that you’re not my only grandson, but in our Howe family, you’re my oldest grandson. If you don’t go, look what I have here.”
Daisy took out a long rope from under her buttocks and said bitterly. “If you don’t go, I’ll commit suicide with this long rope at the door of your room tomorrow morning and go to another world to find your grandpa to tell him that you’re not a good boy.”
Harold Vance, the assistant standing next to the sofa, was a little speechless. He thought in his heart, “It seems that Mr. Howe wouldn’t be able to refuse to go on the blind date tomorrow.
“Mrs. Howe has prepared in advance this time. She has already taken out her killer weapon.”
Harold looked at James with a sympathetic look on his face.
James furrowed his brows even tighter, snatching the rope from his grandmother’s hand and softly saying, “Grandma, I’ll go. I’ll go. Let me take the rope away, okay?
“Don’t keep using grandpa to oppress me. Just let him enjoy his life in another world!”
James‘ grandfather had passed away more than ten years ago. Whenever anyone in the family did not listen to his grandmother, she would say that she would be going to find his grandfather….
Hearing her grandson say this, Daisy instantly smiled brightly.
Looking at the rope in his grandson’s hand, she thought to herself, “Hahaha, it looks like it worked again.”
At the thought of this, the smile on her face could not help but grow a little wider.
Early the next morning, Nadia made oatmeal. After putting it in a thermos, she went to the hospital to deliver it to her grandmother first.
After that, she met up with the attending doctor. The attending doctor told her that her grandmother’s cancer had spread and she needed to undergo surgery quickly, and that it couldn’t be delayed any longer.
But all her money was already transferred to her sister yesterday to pay the preliminary expenses. Her grandmother’s surgical expenses were still far behind.
At eight–thirty in the morning, her sister came to the hospital. After talking to her sister for a while, she walked out of the hospital and headed straight to UI Cafe.
After entering the coffee shop, she looked around and saw a man in his thirties sitting by the window, holding a rose in his
hand.
She had not seen Daisy’s grandson, and as she looked around, she found that the people sitting there were either couple or a family eating there, with only the man by the window being alone.
And just then, the man by the window saw Nadia as well and gave her a slight nod.
Nadia walked over and sat opposite the man, saying, “Hello, are you here for a blind date?”
Nadia pulled out the stool and sat down. Looking up at the man sitting across from her, she was startled.
Daisy said that her grandson had a house, a car, and a handsome appearance. He worked in a large company in technology and earned a decent income per month. Daisy boasted about her grandson in front of Nadia every day, but she did not expect his grandson to look like this…..
Although he was only 28 years old, he was almost bald on the top of his head, wearing a pair of glasses, with a flat nose, a big mouth, and an unkempt beard. He was less than 5.6 feet tall and had a big beer belly.
“Yeah! What is your monthly income?”
He even asked Nadia about her monthly income as soon as he spoke. Daisy looked kind and generous, and her facial features were also upright. Why was her grandson so ugly?
“I partnered with someone and we opened a flower shop. We don’t earn much.” Nadia managed to maintain her demeanor for Daisy’s sake. Seeing the face of the man in front of her. Nadia was a bit worried that she would soon spit out all the breakfast she had just eaten.
Upon hearing this, the man’s face changed and he asked her, “Does it mean that your flower shop doesn’t make that much profit?”
The man continued to ask, “Is there 5,000 dollars each month?”
Chapter 3
Nadia shook her head truthfully. She and her best friend Clare Brown ran the flower shop together, with a monthly profit of only about 4,000 dollars, and the two shared it equally. She only carned 2000 dollars each month.
“2000 dollars? Do you have any debt? you definitely don’t have any savings, right?”
“I have no savings and still owe over several tens of thousands of dollars in debt.”
Anyway, she did not like the man in front of her, even if he was Daisy’s biological grandson.
Although she did not pay special attention to appearance when choosing her partner, the man in front of her was really ugly. She could not even imagine kissing him!
She thought she would scare the man away by saying that she had over several tens of thousands of dollars in debt, but she
was wrong.
