Chapter I 

It was eight o’clock in the evening, and the nightclub was bustling with the scene of feasting and revelry. 

Nadia Lewis had finished her day’s work and went to Kingsley’s liveliest nightclub to work part–time selling alcohol. 

This was a part–time job she had just got today, and just as she changed into her work clothes and walked out of the changing room, she heard a woman’s voice inside the next private room. 

The woman said shyly, “You can’t back out what you promised me…” 

“Baby, don’t worry. I’m all yours. I’ll never go back on what I promised you.” 

Nadia took a look inside the private room and saw a woman wearing a black lace backless halter dress, with her smooth back. exposed. 

Her figure curves were perfectly displayed. She was like a titillating and coquettish woman. 

The man inside the private room put one of his hands on the woman’s waist, while the other of his hands was holding the back of the woman’s head. He hugged the woman and began to kiss her. 

Nadia shook her head. It was really a scene inappropriate for children! 

She had just turned around and took a few steps when suddenly she heard a deep and hoarse voice coming from inside. “Becca. I’m tired!” 

Why was this voice so familiar? 

Why was it so much like her boyfriend, Jim Ford’s voice? She only saw the woman’s back just now and did not see the man and the woman’s face. 

When she was about to turn around and check it out, she was stopped by her supervisor. 

“Nadia, hurry up and serve them to the guests.” 

After saying that, her supervisor passed two bottles of wine into Nadia’s hands and told her to deliver them to the guests. 

By the time Nadia returned after delivering the wine, the man and the woman in the private room just now had already 

gone. 

Nadia didn’t give up. She chased after them to the first floor. 

Just as she reached the door, she watched from afar as a woman in a lace halter and a man got into a cab. 

And why were they so similar to her best friend and fiancé? 

Nadia’s heart tightened. Wasn’t Becca her best friend’s nickname? 

Thinking back to what the two had done in the private room just now, Nadia was extremely scared. 

Didn’t Jim say he was going back to visit his mother? 

Did he lie to her? 

Nadia quickly walked to the road, and a cab happened to be parked at the side. 

After getting into the cab, Nadia said to the driver, “Sir, please follow the cab in front.” 

“Okay!” The driver started the cab and chased after the car in front. 

Nadia clenched her fists tighter and tighter. These two were so disgusting. They were actually doing it in the private room of a nightclub. 

The cab Nadia was in stopped at a red light just before the intersection of the traffic light in front. Nadia stomped her feet in 

anxiety. 

She took out cash and gave it to the cab driver. After getting out of the cab, she took off her high heels and chased after the direction of the cab Jim and her friend were in. 

Luckily, the cab turned a corner and stopped at the International Trade Building. 

Nadia gasped and watched from afar as the two of them got out of the cab and entered the selling floor of the International Trade Building. 

Nadia was furious as she watched Rebecca Flores holding her boyfriend in her arms. 

She looked down. She saw her sock had been worn out and there was a hole in it, and her thumb was coming out of it. 

She thought she could not show up in front of the two of them like that. She put her high heels on the ground. After putting on high heels, she organized her hair and then walked toward the direction of the International Trade Building. 

However, after entering the International Trade Building, she looked around and did not see Jim and Rebecca. 

Chapter 1 

When she took out her cell phone and was about to call Jim, she received a credit card consumption reminder message. 

Someone used her credit card in a luxury goods store, with a purchase of 10400 dollars. 

Looking at the amount, Nadia’s hand trembled and her phone fell directly to the ground. 

It was the entire limit of her credit card. Unexpectedly, it was used up in one go. The amount was almost half a year’s salary 

for her. 

Nadia found the jewelry store and saw at a glance that Jim was holding a heart–shaped diamond necklace and putting it on Rebecca’s fair–skinned neck. 

And the heart–shaped diamond was so big and sparkly. Rebecca’s mouth curled up slightly into a smile in satisfaction. Rebecca hugged Jim’s neck. As she stood on her tiptoes, she kissed Jim on the cheek before snuggling into Jim’s arms with at happy look on her face. 

At that moment, Nadia’s heart ached as if there was a knife cutting through her heart, and the pain spread inch by inch to every part of her body. 

Nadia quickly stepped forward to Rebecca and tugged the diamond necklace off her neck and slapped it on the counter. 

“Refund it!” 

“Nadia, are you crazy? That’s my necklace,” Rebecca roared loudly. 

“Slap!” 

Nadia slapped Rebecca backhanded with all the force she could muster. 

“Ouch! Ah!” 

The ear–piercing scream echoed throughout the store. Nadia slapped Rebecca to the ground. 

Five fingerprints instantly appeared on Rebecca’s face and her face swelled up. 

Nadia trembled with anger. 

She pointed at Jim’s nose and shouted in a harsh voice, “Ask him whose money he was using.” 

Jim shielded Rebecca behind him with a distressed expression and glanced at Nadia in disgust. “Don’t you have a mirror to look at what you’re wearing? You shameless woman. You have no shame but don’t disgrace me. 

“Didn’t I just spend some of your money? Are you crazy? Do you need to come here dressing like that to mess around?” 

Jim’s eyes were filled with disgust. 

“I’m crazy? You took my money and came here to buy a gift for your mistress. Who’s the shameless one? 

“And you. Rebecca, my good friend, my bestie. I didn’t expect you to be like this. 

“We’ve known each other for more than ten years. How come I didn’t realize earlier that you actually enjoy being someone’s mistress so much?” 

Nadia poked her finger at Rebecca’s chest, approaching step by step. 

Jim yelled as he pulled Nadia aside, “I have a mistress, so what? What’s the problem? You should look at yourself. Which man would want you?” 

Looking at Jim in front of her, Nadia’s tears welled up in her eyes, and her heart ached so much that she crouched on the floor uncontrollably. 

Shame, betrayal, and sadness surged up in her heart. 

In the past two years, she had been saving money and working several jobs to support Jim in his graduate studies, paying his tuition fees, and providing him with living expenses. And she even bought his underwear and underpants for him. 

She didn’t buy clothes or cosmetics for herself, and she never wore makeup. 

Finally, he graduated and came to the city she was in. She thought the two of them could finally be together. 

But unexpectedly, Jim was fastidious but incompetent, and he hadn’t even found a decent job after coming here for half a 

year. 

In the past six months, she paid for everything he ate and drank. He spent a lot of her money extravagantly. 

He told Nadia early this morning that his mother was seriously ill and needed an operation. 

Nadia gave him her credit card with a limit of over 10 thousand dollars without even thinking about it. 

She told him to take it to pay for his mother’s surgery, and she thought she could take another part–time job to earn more 

money. 

Chapter 1 

Lucky for Nadia, she found the part–time job online early in the morning, and tonight was her first day of part–time work at the club. 

Unexpectedly, she discovered the scandal between her boyfriend and best friend there. 

There were more and more people watching them in the mall. Jim didn’t want to be disgraced, so he turned around and pulled Rebecca as he was about to walk downstairs. 

Nadia stood up and grabbed Jim’s arm and said sternly, “Don’t go. Refund the necklace. Give me back my credit card, and move out of the house I rented.” 

Nadia didn’t want this kind of man anymore. This kind of man was really shameless! 

“Money, money, money! You just know money. Take it. Who cares!” 

Seeing there were more and more onlookers gathering, Jim had to throw the credit card hard to Nadia’s nose. 

“You stingy old woman. I’ve had enough of you for a long time. You deserve to be single for the rest of your life, and in the end, you won’t even have someone to take care of you in your old age.” 

After saying that, Jim pulled Rebecca toward the door with a big stride. 

Nadia refunded the necklace and returned to the rental house with tears in her eyes. 

Just as she reached the stairwell, she saw the door of her rental house wide open and her things and clothes were all over the floor. She thought there was a thief in her rental house. 

But when she walked in the door, she saw Jim and Rebecca in her rental house, throwing her things out. 

Nadia was trembling with anger and questioned loudly, “What are you two doing? Get the hell out of here.”
