Desire for you- ALPHA RYAN Book 1

Chapter 11

RYAN

"Tell me about yourself," Catherine said to me, lifting her gaze from the menu.

She looked simply stunning. I stared at her face for a brief moment and realized I probably looked like a dork doing it.

"What do you want to know?", I asked her, continuing to look over the menu. She had purposely gotten the card without prices. By now I knew Catherine wasn't the greedy type of person or wolf, respectively, and I wanted to avoid her running out on me from the restaurant.

"Well, we barely know each other.... We met under bad circumstances, you know the rest. The only thing I know about you is your first name. I don't even know your last name." she said, looking me in the face.

I smiled at her "Ryan Hamilton. That's my full name and as you know, I own the Black Moon pack. My parents both passed away in the war against the Ice pack when I was 19 and I then had to take responsibility over our pack at that time. I love cars, I love to play sports, and I love to go on hunting trips with the pack members." I deliberately left out the part about loving women after the cars, because I hardly think that would have gone over well with her. Especially since she is my companion and I only have eyes for her.

You bastard,' Onyx hissed at my thoughts.

I ignored him and finally someone came to take our order.

"What will it be for the lady?" he asked.

She looked at me, probably not knowing what to take.

"For me, I'd like the lasagna," I said to Alberto, the waiter, he was a longtime family friend.

He nodded and looked at Catherine again.

"For me, too," she finally said.

"Also bring us the best bottle of red wine you have there," I said to him.

He smiled kindly at me and nodded.

"Very well, Alpha," he said and made his way to the kitchen with the order.

Catherine looked at me in irritation.

"He's human, isn't he?" she asked me, and I nodded.

"Yes, friend of the family. Don't worry about him.", I finally said.

"What else do you want to know about me?", I asked and had my elbows on the table. My hands were intertwined and my gaze lingered on her. I glanced down at her neck and then at her collarbones.

Damn, she had nice collarbones. Even though she was so skinny right now, her breasts were a perfect size and the dress I had put in front of her didn't make the spectacle any better. Damn, my pants were tight!

'Don't drool Ryan, you'll look like a rapist,' Onyx said, teasing me.

I tried to keep my eyes on your face and smiled at her.

She shook her head "I think that's enough information to start with." she finally said and leaned back on the chair.

"You tell me something about yourself.", I said to her and I didn't mean what happened with Arnor and Alpha John.

"With me, there's not much to tell. I like to read, I like to listen to music, I like to go jogging and I have a great love for chocolate." she looked at me shyly.

Chocolate, then. That was her weakness? Oh baby, I'd buy all of Switzerland for you.

'Concentrate.' Onyx admonished me again in a teasing way.

'Who didn't want a mate again? Your collarbones are perfectly made to nibble on. Grrrrrr' I guess that had to be Onyx's fetish with the collarbone, which was probably projecting itself onto me. In the other relationships with women, Onyx never interfered. He always told me that we were cheating on our mate and tried to make me feel guilty.

I tried to ignore Onyx as best I could.

"What about your family?", I asked her. Her expression immediately turned sad and she looked down at the table. "My father is the Gamma of the Crescent and my mother..." she swallowed "Well, Kilian said she wasn't doing so well since I disappeared..."

'Oh crap, you just killed the mood' Onyx commented.

I glared at her and grabbed her hand across the table. "I'm so sorry for you. If you want, we can go visit her...." I offered her.

Her lips twisted into a small smile.

"Thank you... "

I nodded, "It's no big deal."

Alberto came with our plates and set everything out for us as it should be.

We started eating and I kept glancing over at her. I took another sip of red wine, at which point she hesitated a little.

"What's the matter? Don't you like the wine?"

I asked her, frowning.

She quickly shook her head "N-no, no everything is fine. I just never drank alcohol in my life, it's new to me." she said and looked at me.

I had to smile "Well then, here's to your first glass!" we toasted together.

We ate the lasagna, drank of the great wine. I noticed that Catherine, was already a little tipsy from one glass and found it amusing how relaxed she was.

I had asked Alfredo to bring us the chef's best chocolate mousse.

He came with two dessert bowls and placed them in front of us.

"This, my dear, is the best dessert in the world. Made of chocolate!" I said to her, She laughed softly and smiled at me.

I grabbed her spoon and took from the mousse and held it in front of her lips. She took the spoon in her mouth and tasted the mousse.

She immediately closed her eyes and moaned "Mhmmm soo good." she looked back at me and beamed.

"I told you you would like it," I said and started eating my dessert.

'Oh Wow, I didn't think you'd be successful,' Onyx said.

'Boss? Please excuse the interruption, but we have a real problem here with Arnor. He's going nuts.' Tristan said, interrupting me as I ate.

I sighed 'Then shut him up, tell our doc to give him something to shut him up. I'd love to just kill him, but that would be too good for him.' I said to Tristan.

Catherine looked at me in confusion. "Is everything all right?" she asked me.

I looked at her again "There's a little problem, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. Don't worry about it."

If she knew that Arnor was 3 floors below our house, she would probably go crazy.

At the thought of Arnor, his words came to mind.

She didn't tell you everything, you idiots. Were his words.

I didn't want to spoil the moment, especially not at dinner, so now I refrained from asking. Maybe Arnor just wanted to provoke me with these words, so that my brain would start rattling, like right now, and unsettle me.

After we ate our desserts and had another glass of wine, we decided to get up and leave. I had already settled the bill with Alfredo.

"Yikes, this is all spinning around," Catherine said, holding onto my arm so she wouldn't fall over right away.

She glanced at me and grinned. God, the girl was drunk with two glasses of wine already. I wonder if this is going to go well. No, certainly not.

"Yeah, you've got your socks knocked off. Come on I'll carry you to the car." I suggested and picked her up like a bride in arms.

"N-no, I'll be fine," she said, and as I picked her up she started laughing. "Oh God, please don't make me fall down." She put her arms around my neck and buried her face in my chest. She held on as if her life depended on me.

My heart really warmed up and I would have loved to hold her in my arms all night. I looked down at her and smiled, "I won't let you fall."

I walked with her to the car and finally let her down. She got in the car and I got in the driver's seat and drove off.

She looked over at me. "Oh, I smeared makeup all over your shirt ..." she said, looking back down at her hands. "I'm really sorry about that." She bit her lower lip again.

"It's forgiven," I said, trying to pull myself together. It was tempting to stop in the middle of the highway and kiss her.

I looked ahead again.

'Oh my Ryan is going to man up if Grandma heard that! AHHH!' Shouted Onyx completely dreamy in my head.

'If you keep yelling like that, I'm going to have hearing damage soon,' I replied.

With the push of a button I let the garage door open and parked the car.

I finally got out and held the door open for Catherine.

We went into the house together. Since the garage was on the lowest level, we could hear some screaming.

Arnor, damn it. Catherine looked at me confused "What's going on?" she finally asked.

"That's our problem we're having at the moment. As I said, please don't worry about it and please, don't come down here. Do you understand me?" I looked at her seriously.

Whether she had really understood me in my first-time drunken state was questionable.

She finally nodded and said nothing more. I accompanied her up to the room. She stumbled over the threshold and in trying to catch her, I fell to the floor along with her.

"Oh moon goddess, are you all right?" she asked me. I had fallen on my hand, which was still infected and had spread all over my arm. You couldn't see the whole thing through my shirt. I screwed up my face and finally nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine, and you?", I asked her.

She stared down at my arm, from which the cuff links had come off due to the fall.

"You didn't take the blood?" she asked me quietly. I shook my head "No, Kilian gave it to me, but I didn't want it." I finally said.

"U-Und why don't you want it?" she asked me, looking at me askance. "I mean, you're in pain throughout because of it ..."

I smiled at her. God, she was cute.

"Maybe I'll see this as my punishment for what I did to you." I said shrugging my shoulders and running my hand through my hair.

She shook her head "No. That's not the right thing to do. If you feel guilty, then try to make it up to me in some other way, but I don't want you to be in pain any longer.... Even if I'm only a quarter demon, the bite contaminates all your blood Ryan..." she said, looking at me worriedly.

She pulled out her fangs and bit her wrist. She held her wrist out to me. I glared at her. "I'm not a fucking vampire after all," I muttered to myself.

She rolled her eyes "Come on." she almost made me do it.

I took her wrist and drank from her blood, which had an almost sweet taste. I detached myself from her wrist again and looked into her eyes.

The pain immediately subsided. "You taste like honey," I said. She snorted and doubled over laughing.

I had to grin, "What, I'm just telling the truth. I could replace your blood with my wine, that would be something." She shook her head laughing "Not going to happen." she said smiling. "Yeah, too bad we're not vampires now that I know what you taste like," I teased her.

She was standing so close to me that she had to look up at me. After all, I was a good two heads taller than her.

"Come lay down to sleep, after all, you're still drunk and you'll have the worst headache tomorrow." I said to her, running my fingers gently over her cheek.

Sparks, feelings of happiness. Moon goddess, what are you doing to me?

I couldn't believe that a lasagna, a glass of wine and a chocolate dessert, had broken the ice between me and Catherine.

I breathed in her scent. "Oh God...", I muttered softly to myself.

She looked at me "What's wrong?" she asked me softly.

"You're driving me crazy," I said to her, looking into her eyes.

"Did I upset you?" she asked me, looking at me with a sad look.

I had to laugh and shook my head "No, anything but that Catherine."

"Then I'm glad." she said and tried to unzip her zipper.

"Can you unzip it for me before you go? I can't get it open." she said, trying to grab the zipper at the back.

I stood behind her and opened the zipper.

Her smooth, white skin was showing. I looked at her beautiful back for a moment.

Goooddddeeeesss. I looked up at the ceiling for a moment and took a deep breath. That didn't make it any better. On the contrary. Her rose scent was now back in my nose and I could barely keep myself together.

I put my hands to her waist, her skin felt so soft. I saw how she got goose bumps all over her back. However, she said nothing and just continued to stand in front of me.

I pulled her closer to me so that her back pressed against my chest. "I want you so much, Catherine," I whispered in her ear.
