Chapter 122 

Theo’s P.O.V. 

“What exactly happened to her, Heather? She was perfectly fine when she left the pack house, and suddenly she screamed and fainted. Why was she in so much pain?” Mom asked Heather, the doctor, in an anxious and worried tone. We are all in my room right now. Crystal was still unconscious. 

“There is nothing wrong with her b*dy physically, Luna. I can also say that she is not under any mental stress. It’s really hard to tell why she is in so much pain this time. It’s just like that situation at the time when she felt her mother’s pain through her wolf,” Heather answered her in a puzzled tone. 

I furrowed my brows while looking at her with a blank gaze. “But…. But… that was in the past. Her mother’s wolf has already left her b*dy. So what could be the reason for her pain this time?” Mom asked her again in the same tone. 

“Theo,” I heard my father calling me. I looked at him blankly as I was still trying to figure out what happened to Crystal this time. “Did Crystal tell you anything about any discomfort that she has felt earlier?” he asked me in a calm and serious tone. 

“She is having the same nightmare for the past few days. Other than that….. (I shook my head negatively)….. she told me nothing,” I answered her truthfully. He narrowed his eyes this time. “B… but that nightmare was…. Was part of what happened to the queen when her wolf left her b*dy and guarded Crystal 18 years ago. Why is she still having that nightmare?” Mom spoke this time in the same worried tone. 

There was silence in the room, as none of us knew the answer. Alpha Adrian sighed aloud and went near Crystal on the bed. He gently stroked her hair, but he had a painful expression. “As you all know, I am assigned as her protector by the Moon Goddess,” he said in a calm and low tone. 

He paused and took a deep breath, but he didn’t remove his gaze from Crystal’s face. “Whenever she had the nightmare, I also felt her misery, fear, and pain. I didn’t know the content of his nightmare but could feel how scared she was,” he continued, and my heart skipped a beat. Sharing the pain of others in an unconscious state is pure torture for anyone, let alone for an alpha who can feel all the emotions 10 times more than an average wolf.

“Yo… you mean to say th… that not only Crystal but also suffered all these years?” Luna Elena asked him in a shocked tone filled with disbelief. I was also shocked to know this. He never told us about this. “Last night… I…. I once again felt her fear in … in the beginning when suddenly her emotions changed,” he continued in the same trance as if he were in a dream. 

“She wanted to help someone…. It felt th.. that someone was calling her for help. She…. She was scared but desperate to to help that person….and… and… for… for the first time I felt as desperate to help that person as Crystal was in her dream. I didn’t ask her anything earlier as I decided to ask her after she comes back from the Royal Pack.” he finished what he wanted to say and then looked at me. I was sitting beside Crystal on the bed on the other side. 

We both locked our gazes. I could say that he was still in a trance. “She called Crystal for help before Crystal fainted,” he whispered, and my mouth dropped open in shock this time. “She? You…. You mean to say that there is a woman who is calling for help, huh?” Luna Elena asked him in the same shocked tone, filled with disbelief. 

“Yeah…… she… she a girl…. I… I can say that,” Alpha Adrian answered her in a calm tone this time, still looking at me. I clenched my jaw and averted my gaze. I looked back at Crystal once again. She was still unconscious, but she was looking better than earlier. 

“I guess we should talk with the queen in this matter. Crystal shared her memories at the time of her birth with her. I … I can’t say but… but I guess there was something more than that at that time, and now it is haunting Crystal,” Heather said in a serious tone. 

“Let me talk to Killian first,” I said in a serious tone. All of them nodded in agreement. I slowly leaned towards Crystal and k*ssed her forehead. “I can’t believe that we are once again no help to our mate,” Thunder grumbled in disappointment. I got off the bed and walked towards the door while taking my phone out of my pocket. 

“What did Luna say in this matter?” I asked him in a serious tone while dialing Killian’s number. “Strange enough, she has no idea about those nightmares. She said that she only knows that Crystal has nightmares often, but she doesn’t know the content of those nightmares. It seems that it’s only in Crystal’s memories. It’s really strange, but Luna doesn’t share those memories,” he answered me in a somewhat troubled tone.

Chapter 122 

I stopped in my tracks and processed what he told me. It was really strange because both the wolf and the human shared all their memories. At the same time, Killian picked up the call. 

“Where are you and Crystal, Theo? Why haven’t you reached yet?” he 

complained in an angry tone in loud voice, making me pull the phone away from my ear, and I came out of my trance. “We are still in my pack, Killian,” I answered him in a serious tone after I put the phone in my ear again. 

“What? But Why?” he yelled aloud once again, making me flinch and shrank my shoulder this time. I knew that he was eagerly waiting for Crystal’s arrival there. He wanted his complete family at the time of his coronation, but right now, I don’t care about his wishes. “Relax, Killian and listen to me first.” I scolded him in frustration this time. He huffed, but didn’t say anything this time. 

“I need to talk to your mother urgently. Something happened to Crystal and the doctor said that it’s related to your mother,” I said further in a calm but serious tone. “What exactly happened to Crystal, Theo?” he asked me in a serious tone after a few seconds. I could say that he was now walking. 

“I really don’t know, Killian. This is something related to the same dream where Crystal–always heard your mother’s voice calling Moon to save her. She once again had the same dream last night, but something has changed in that dream this time. The strange thing is that Luna can’t go through what Crystaldreamt,” I explained the whole situation truthfully to him. 

There was silence on his end, and I also didn’t say a word again. I gave him the time to process what exactly happened to Crystal. “This is really strange, Theo,” he murmured after some time. “Yeah… That I know,” I replied to him while sighing aloud. 

“Just give me a second,” he said, and then I heard him calling his mother aloud. I heard him telling his mother Crystal’s situation briefly, as he didn’t cover the mouthpiece of the phone. “How is she now?” I heard the queen asking me in a worried tone. 

“She is still unconscious, my queen,” I answered truthfully. “Bring her here with Alpha Adrian, Theo. He is her protector, assigned by the Moon Goddess. He must be with her. I am calling everyone to come early here and let’s 

discuss this matter with everyone,” she instructed me in a serious tone, making me narrow my eyes in confusion.

Chapter 122 

“Why do we need everyone?” I asked her in a confused tone. She sighed aloud before answering me. “You don’t know one thing about vampires, Theo, that they can enter someone’s dream and even manipulate their dreams,” she answered me and all the lines on my forehead straightened immediately. I was dumbstruck by her revelation. 

“We don’t have any vampires with us, Mom, and why do any vampires help us when we are responsible for their doom?” Killian asked her in a confused tone. I heard her chuckle this time. “You forgot, Killian, that both Crystal and Adam are special hybrids. I …. I can’t say with surety if they possess this trait of vampires or not, but we can take a chance,” she answered both of us, as I also had the same question in my mind. 

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. “I know that you don’t like Adam anywhere near Crystal, Theo, but this is for her well–being,” she said to me this time. “But she doesn’t need to have another dream tonight or in the coming nights,” I argued in a serious tone. 

“You are right, but,” she paused, and I heard her sighing once again. There was silence on both ends as I didn’t know what to say to her in refute. “Let’s do this, Theo. I don’t care who can enter her dream. I only know one thing: she is in deep pain and I want her to come out of that pain,” Thunder said in a serious tone. “Her pain is also affecting Luna,” he murmured once again. 

I knew that I had to cross this bridge, but I didn’t expect that it would be so soon. Although both I and Crystal are ancient souls and are meant only for each other, Crystal shares a different bond with Adam. Their mate bond didn’t vanish completely when Adam rejected her, and she accepted her rejection because of his wolf. Later, that weak bond created something else, and she used that bond to locate him when she discovered that she was also a hybrid. 

I am an alpha and also overly possessive for my mate, but I can’t compromise with her well–being. Why did she have to suffer so much pain? Why did she have to go through so much hardship? 

“Theo.” I opened my eyes once again and sighed aloud in defeat. “Let’s do this, my queen. This is about Crystal and she is more important than anything else in this world,” I said in a calm tone. “Make arrangements to bring her here then. Nelson is already here. I ask him to call Adam and you talk to William,” she instructed me in a calm and serious tone. 

“Alright, my queen,” I replied to her before hanging up the call. “Do you really 

want to take Adam’s help in this matter?” Nathan asked me in a calm tone, but I could feel his disappointment in his tone. “This is for Crystal, Nathan. I don’t need to tell you what our mates mean to us. If he can help her get rid of this pain and suffering, I have no issue in taking his help,” I answered him in a serious but calm tone while dialling William’s number.
