Chapter 121 

Crystal’s P.O.V. 

I was scared and was running here and there aimlessly, once again desperate to get out of this dark space but no matter how fast I ran, how far I ran, there was no end to this darkness. I wanted to scream for help but couldn’t. It seemed that something had blocked my throat completely. 

“Moon….. help….. Moon…. Save our daughter.” I panicked when I heard the same familiar yet strange tone. “Mom?” I whispered in my heart when I realized that it was my biological mother’s voice. “Mom,” I tried to scream at the top of my lungs to get her attention, but no voice came out of my throat. I wanted her to know that I was also here. 

I felt a chill running through my spine after some time. Someone was again watching me through the darkness. I looked around while widening my eyes as much as I could to see anything through the darkness. My attempt was futile, still I tried hard. 

I sat down on the floor and hugged my knees. I was shivering hard in fear. My mother’s voice was still coming from a distance. She was still urging her wolf, Moon, to save their daughter……. Me. 

“Mom…. I am here…… 

Mom… I am scared…. Ple…. Please come and find me,” I pleaded to her while crying hard. I didn’t call for Luna because I knew that Luna couldn’t answer me in my dreams. 

“Plea….. se… come to me, Mom…. I am really scared,” I pleaded once again when a gust of cold wind hit my b*dy hard, making me shiver hard once again. My b*dy was now covered in goosebumps all over due to fear. I knew that…. that red–eyed man was lurking around me and soon he would attack me, taking me off guard. 

My teeth were now clattering due to fear and cold. All I wanted right now was to get out of this place. All I wanted right now was to close my eyes to end this nightmare, but I couldn’t close them because of that red–eyed man. 

Suddenly I heard a faint cry. It was also from a distant place, but I could hear it loud and clear. “Who….. Who’s there?” I screamed while looking around once again, still hugging my knees tightly to my chest. I didn’t get any answer but the cry got loud.

Chapter 121 

It was a girl. This was the first time that I heard this cry in my nightmare. “Who is there?” I screamed once again but didn’t get any answer. The cry in eerie silence was enough to make my heart tremble in fear once again. 

“H…………p me……..,” I stopped breathing when that girl called me for help. Her voice was so weak as if she had no strength in her b*dy to make that sound. “Who are you? Where are you? Tell….. tell me where are you an… and I will help you,” I said to her when I didn’t hear her voice for a while. 

“Gotcha.” 

I screamed in panic when suddenly he appeared right in front of my eyes out of the darkness. 

“Crystal…. Crystal…. Relax… It’s just a nightmare.” I heard Theo comforting me. I was still shivering hard, but I was in his safe embrace now. I slowly moved my head towards him, still trying to catch my breath. 

“It was just a nightmare. You are safe and with me…… see?” he comforted me while holding me tightly in his embrace. I collapsed on his chest and closed my eyes. I didn’t know why, but that faint cry and that call for help were still lingering at the back of my mind. 

“Th… there was a n… new voice c… alling for help,” I told Theo while trying to breathe properly. “A new voice? That’s strange,” he murmured and I just moved my head on his chest in agreement. I had been this dream since my childhood and this was the first time that I heard that voice. 

I didn’t know why, but an urge to help that girl was so strong in my heart that I wanted to go back into that nightmare so that I could find her. The pain and fear in her voice were enough to make me feel heartache for her. 

“Are you sure that it was the same dream?” Theo asked me after some time. when I calmed down. “Yeah… it was the same dream. I … I once again heard Mom pleading with Moon to save me. Once again, it was the same man with red eyes.” I answered him in a low voice, still thinking about that girl. 

“You never heard that voice before, right?” he asked me again, and I just nodded in agreement. “Don’t think about it anymore. Everything will be okay,” he comforted me once again while rubbing my back gently. I just snuggled into his chest and closed my eyes. 

My mind was now completely calm so was my heart. Still, the urge to help that

girl was strong in my heart. I was sure that I never heard that voice in my life. Still, I felt a connection with her. Who was that girl? How could she appear in my dream for a long time? 

“Don’t think too much. Go and freshen up first. We have to get ready to leave for The Royal Pack before 9 so that we can reach there by lunch,” Theo said to me in a calm tone. I nodded in response and slowly removed myself from his embrace. He gently k*ssed my forehead before removing his hands from my b*dy. 

I got off the bed and went straight to the bathroom. It was Killian’s coronation the day after tomorrow, and Cynthia asked me to be with her today. I could understand her nervousness. Still, I was happy for both my brother and her. They were a perfect match. 

After finishing my business in the bathroom, I went straight to the closet and wore a comfortable top and jeans. I didn’t like wearing any dress while travelling. I had already prepared our bags last night. I kept my hair loose as they were still wet. 

“Ready?” Theo asked me while entering the room. I looked up and saw him already ready. He had worn a plain white T–shirt and black jeans. I should forbid him from wearing this combination. He had stunning hazel eyes with dark black hair. He always was clean–shaven because I liked it.. 

“What’s wrong?” he asked me with a worried look on his face. I frowned while going towards him. I was trying to wear a golden bracelet that he gave me on my seventeenth birthday. It had a lucky charm consisting of our initials. 

“Nothing… you are looking handsome,” I answered him nonchalantly. “Let me,” he said, taking the bracelet from me. I let him do whatever he wanted to do while admiring his facial features. “What do you want on your birthday this year?” he asked after putting the bracelet on my wrist. 

I narrowed my eyes while looking at him in confusion. He smiled slyly while putting his hands on my shoulders and pulling me closer to him. “It’s your birthday next to next Friday. How can you forget?” he asked me with a mischievous smile on his l*ps. 

I pouted while trying to remember what day it was today. I groaned and hung my head low when I realized that I forgot about my birthday. “We also have our first anniversary after a few days of my birthday,” I said in a low tone and

slowly looked up. 

He still had the same smile, but I could see love and possessiveness in his eyes. I smiled shyly and lowered my eyes while biting my lower l*ps. “Let’s go on vacation on our anniversary. It’s our first anniversary and I want to do something special for you. The whole year was hell for all of us. Let’s take a break from everything and spend some time together without any worry,” he whispered to me in his husky voice making my knees go jelly. 

“What do you say?” he asked me when I didn’t answer him. “I… I guess… i.. it sounds like a good plan,” I said in a shy tone and stuttered a little. He k*ssed my forehead, and I closed my eyes while enjoying the warmth of his k*ss. 

“Let’s talk about this during our journey,” he said in the same low and husky tone. I just nodded and cleared my throat so that I could speak properly. He removed his hands from my shoulders and wrapped one hand around them, pulling me into his side embrace. 

“Let’s go,” he said while giving my phone to me. We both then walked out of the room. “Did you talk with William? Did they leave the pack?” I asked him while going downstairs. “Nah… I didn’t call him. I talked with Vincent before coming to the room. He said that William is still reluctant to leave his mate alone,” he replied to me in a calm tone. 

I sighed, feeling sympathy for my brother. All of us were desperately waiting for her mate to wake up. She had recovered physically, but none of us knew about her psychological recovery. I really wished that Victoria wake up soon so that my brother could also have a normal life with her. 

“Don’t think too much. I don’t know why, but I am having this feeling that we are going to get news from their side soon.” Theo comforted me and I just smiled at his attempt. “I wish for Victoria’s speedy recovery,” I said to him in a hopeful tone. “She will…. Trust me,” he said while squeezing my shoulder lightly. 

We reached the living room, and I found everything there, waiting for us. Mom, Dad, Alpha Adrian and Luna Elena decided to go to the Royal Palace on the day of the coronation. They didn’t want to leave the pack without any alpha.

“Mom,” I called her while going towards her. She immediately stood from the couch and walked towards me while spreading her hands in the air. I

embraced her, and she immediately hugged me back. “You have to take good care of yourself, love. You have been down for the past few days,” she whispered to me worriedly. 

“I am fine, Mom… you don’t need to worry,” I assured her while holding her lightly. She scoffed and then pulled me away from her. “That I can see,” she said while shrinking her nose annoyingly. I smiled and just shrank my nose teasingly. 

After that, I bid farewell to everyone and then walked out of the pack house with them. They still treated me like a child. Theo chuckled behind me, but I didn’t pay attention to her. I was about to open the back door of our car when suddenly I felt anxious. 

“What is it, Luna?” I asked her in a worried tone, as she was now pacing to and fro at the back of my mind. “I… I don’t know, but I am not feeling good,” she said in an anxious but confused tone. “What happened?” Theo asked me worriedly. He immediately wrapped his hand around my shoulder again. “I….. I don’t know… Suddenly I… I felt scared,” I said to him while patting my chest lightly. 

“What happened?” Alpha Adrian asked me this time in a worried tone. I was about to answer him when suddenly I panicked and clutched my chest. A wave of pain hit my chest hard. I screamed aloud while collapsing in Theo’s embrace. 

“Crystal….. what happened, honey? What is wrong with you?” Mom screamed in fear this time. I felt that someone was strangling me hard, making me unable to breathe. “Someone call the doctor!” Alpha Adrian yelled at the top of his lungs this time. 

“Take her back to the living room,” Dad instructed someone in a stern but worried tone. “Theo…… it’s hurting,” I said to Theo in a trembling tone while trying to ease the pain in my chest. He scooped me in his embrace in bridal style and ran towards the pack house once again. 

I felt my vision blur and the pain intensified once again. “Theo,” I howled in pain and at the same time, Luna also howled in pain. The pain was killing both her and me. “Just hang on a bit, my love… we are almost there,” he answered me in a worried tone. 

“He…. Lp me,” I gasped in shock when I heard the same voice that I heard in

my nightmare. I tried to move my head to find the source of the voice but screamed in pain once again when another wave of pain hit me hard. My whole b*dy tightened in Theo’s embrace. His grip on me tightened immediately. 

“It….. it’s not our pain,” Luna whimpered in pain while rolling on the floor in the back of my mind. “Whose pain is this, then?” I asked her in a painful voice, still trying to breathe but it felt like an impossible task right now, 

I felt dizzy due to the lack of oxygen in my b*dy. “Crystal…. My love… stay awake… don’t close your eyes,” I heard Theo asking me something in a 

panicked tone but my mind was not registering anything now. “He….lp me,” I heard the same voice deep inside my mind this time before I blacked out. I felt her pain…. her misery…. I wanted to save her but couldn’t do anything and 

gave up against the pain.
