Alpha’s Rejected Second Chance Mate by Pradeep

Chapter 114

Chapter 114

Crystal’s P.O.V.

“Your mother… my Catherine… you have her face, but you are not her,” Marcus said mockingly while looking at me with blank eyes. The corner of my l*ps. twitched slightly but I didn’t give him any reaction. He was injected with a special kind of serum that knocked him out on the battlefield.

He came back to his senses after two days and now I wanted to see how low he could fall to make me angry. My mother was a sensitive issue for me, but both I and Luna decided to stay calm to infuriate him. He was a centuries–old vampire. I was nothing in front of his experience, but I needed to win this battle against him.

“We got some information about two more rogue attacks on two different packs. The interesting part is that those rogue groups were as organized as they were earlier, when the deceased alpha of the night lotus pack used to command them. By any chance, you still have a helper out there?” I asked him, completely ignoring his bantering.

“How is she? She has already woken up, right? Did she remember me?” he asked me, ignoring my question and making me laugh internally. “He is playing with us. Let’s play this game, Crystal. It will be fun,” Luna chirped at the back of my mind. We were now completely fine with our strength back.

“I have heard that Alpha Ruben has a bastard son from one of his mistresses, as he never found his mate. Where is he?” I asked him once again, completely ignoring him. I crossed my legs while making myself comfortable on the chair, sitting in front of him at a distance. Adam and Nathan were with me, and I could feel that they were also taking an interest in this conversation.

“You know that I never injected your mother with any other vampires‘ blood. She is precious and a queen. So I always treated her as a queen. She is my queen. So I always gave her my blood. If… if she doesn’t get my blood for a long time, you are risking her life,” he continued blabbering, ignoring what I was asking.

“That bastard son… what’s his name?” I asked while putting a finger under my chin as if I were thinking hard. I looked at both Adam and Nathan, and they smirked. “Robin,” Nathan told me in an amusing tone.

Chapter 114

“O yeah… Robin,” I exclaimed and looked at Marcus as if I had won the lottery. I wrapped my hand at the edge of the chair while shifting slightly on my butt. “I heard that he has a crush on you?” I asked him in an amusing tone this time. I smirked when his expression went ugly and he glared at me as if I had. touched on a sensitive topic..

“I thought that you like women.” I mocked him this time in the same tone, and a low growl erupted from his mouth. “Relax, Marcus… don’t lose your temper. I am just asking. HomoS**uality is not a bad thing, you know,” I continued mocking him in an innocent tone.

“Bastard… he thought that he would succeed in provoking us,” Luna snorted. this time, making me laugh internally. “I wonder what you offered to Ruben and Robin that both the father and the son agreed to help you at the cost of so many lives including theirs,” I continued taunting him, and, this time, the growl was louder than the earlier one.

“You think that you are smart enough to make me lose my temper, huh?” He suddenly changed his tone while trying to stand up, but was pulled down by the shackles holding him to the ground. These were special shackles that could hold a vampire.

“Nope… how can I be smarter than you, Marcus? You have seen more than four generations of my family. How can I think so highly of myself in front of you, huh?” I answered him in the same taunting tone, and his expressions went uglier.

Both Adam and Nathan giggled, and I faked a glare at them. “What are you laughing at, huh? Did I say anything wrong?” I asked them in a fake angry tone. “No, my love…. you just told him that he could pass as your great–great- great grandfather,” Adam answered me in an amusing tone, and I grinned.

“This is what I meant, guys. Isn’t this true?” I asked them and looked at Marcus questioningly. Vampires stopped ageing after a particular age. Marcus was no exception to that, and if we consider his appearance, he was no more than thirty years old.

“Do you know for how long your mother shared the bed with me?” He suddenly asked me in a taunting tone, and the grin that I had on my l*ps immediately disappeared. I heard two angry growls beside me, but I didn’t look at them.

Chapter 114

Suddenly, I straightened my back and leaned towards my knees. “Let me rephrase your statement, Marcus,” I said to him in a calm tone, and he looked. at me in surprise. “Everything is okay, but I will never let her disrespect our mother, Crystal,” Luna warned me, but I didn’t pay attention to my wolf. She was hot–tempered and this was not new for me.

“The woman who was lying on your bed was a comatose, helpless woman whom you have held captive with you. She didn’t share a bed with you. She was lying there unconscious,” I corrected his statement and moved back to my previous position.

“You are nothing but a sick psycho, Marcus, who treated a woman as garbage and forced her to endure so much pain and suffering. You are the reason that my mother was forced to give birth to me in that forest, and you are the reason that she chose death instead of letting you touch her on her watch,” I kept on taunting him.

“Woman…. Think before you speak,” he threatened me, and the next second, I was in front of him, tightening my grip on his n*eck. His eyes widened in shock, and he gasped for air. “I shouldn’t but you should think before you speak, Marcus. Eighteen years… eighteen long years…. My mother was in a coma because of you….. For eighteen long years, I didn’t know about my real family. You not only made us suffer all these years but killed so many people that we couldn’t even count the number,” I growled aloud while tightening my grip on his n*eck.

He tried to move his b*dy, but it made me tighten my grip more. “Do you know how I am a hybrid, huh? And why are you struggling in my grip, huh?” I asked him again, almost choking him. He started gagging, but I knew that he wouldn’t die because of this.

“Crystal… Crystal… Leave him… he is not worthy of your anger,” Adam held me by my shoulder and tried to move me away. “Leave, Adam,” I roared at him, and I yanked my shoulder forcefully, making him. He groaned but held me again after a few seconds. Marcus’s eyes me again after a few seconds. Marcus’s eyes were now about to pop out of

their sockets.

“Because of you, I am a hybrid, Marcus, but thanks to you…. I have a similar strength to you,” I told Marcus in the same angry tone, but it was once again a shock to him. He was now moving the shackles so hard to free himself, but I kneed in his stomach, making him yelp in pain, but no voice came out of his throat because of my grip.

Chapter 114

Tears filled his eyes immediately, making me smile sinisterly this time. “What happened? Did you feel pain, Marcus?” I asked him in the same taunting tone but filled with anger this time. He was shocked, angry, and desperate, but nothing was enough for me to feel any sympathy for him.

“Crystal…. We need him… you know that we need his blood… leave him,” Adam. insisted to me, and I chuckled. “Yeah… you are right… we need his blood,” I answered Adam in a mocking tone, gluing my gaze on Marcus‘ face.

“You know, Marcus… we need your blood for some experiments. You killed so many people after draining their blood, and now we will drain every drop of your blood, drop by drop, so that you can feel their pain. I will make sure that you suffered the same as they suffered…. as my mother suffered…. As Adam suffered,” I roared aloud in the end, shaking the whole cell.

The problem was that Luna’s anger was now mixed with mine, making our strength ten fold more than our normal strength. “Crystal… Crystal… leave him,” Adam tried to move me away, but I pushed him angrily. He flew across the cell, and his b*dy hit the wall behind him badly. “Crystal,” Nathan yelled this time, but I moved my gaze on Marcus again.

All I could see right now was red. The pulse on Marcus‘ n*eck pulsated under my palm, and my fangs immediately elongated. “Crystal…. No,” Adam yelled at the top of his lungs, but I was not registering anything else now. I wanted blood, and Marcus‘ veins were an open invitation for me.

Suddenly, Theo wrapped his hands around my torso from behind. “Leave him, love,” he asked me, coaxing me in a gentle tone, but I didn’t register his words. All I wanted right now was to sink my fangs into Marcus‘ throat. I thrashed myself in his embrace while tightening my grip on Marcus‘ n*eck.

“Crystal… he can’t die due to suffocation. Stop wasting your strength on him.” I heard Adam yelling. I already knew that a vampire can’t die like this, and that’s why, I didn’t hesitate to use my whole strength to strangle him.

“Leave him, love… this is what he wants. Don’t give him the satisfaction of knowing that you lost your temper. Leave him,” Theo coaxed me again while trying to move away from him, but I tried to push Theo away from me. Marcus‘ eyes were almost about to come out of their sockets, Luna was trying hard to get rid of Theo through me. She wanted to kill Marcus right now, and so did I.

Chapter 114

“Crystal…. Crystal.” Suddenly, both I and Luna stopped when we heard William yelling at me. Luna was still growling, but I felt that someone had. poured a bucket full of cold water on me. I was still writhing in anger, but I was now coming back to my senses. What was I even doing?

Theo tried to pull me away one more time, and at the same time. William pushed me away. Luna snarled aloud through me but whimpered when our gaze fell on William who was now standing between me and Marcus, hiding Marcus behind him.

“Calm down, kiddo…. you are alright…. You are alright,” he coaxed me while putting his hand on my shoulder. Theo held me tightly in his embrace, but it was a comfortable grip. Luna whimpered one more time before retreating to the back of my mind.

I closed my eyes and collapsed in Theo’s embrace, but his hold on me was firm, saving me from falling. I was about to move once again when I heard a faint laugh coming from Marcus. “Take her away.” William instructed Theo in a cold tone. I didn’t open my eyes because I knew that it would be futile to throw a tantrum in front of William.

Theo scooted me into his embrace in bridal style and started walking away. I slowly opened my eyes when I heard a light hiss coming from Adam. I felt guilty about losing my temper and hurting him. He coughed blood, and it was enough to tell me that I hit me hard. I closed my eyes once again and decided to apologize to him later. Right now, I needed to keep myself calm.
