Alpha’s Rejected Second Chance Mate by Pradeep

Chapter 113

  Chapter 113

William’s P.O.V.

I slowly approached her while looking at her with tearful eyes. It had been three days, and she was still unconscious. I wanted her to open her eyes and look at me. I sat down on the table beside her bed, and kept on looking at her. The irony was that I didn’t even know her name.

“I know that you can listen to me. I only want to say to you that I am sorry. I am sorry for not reaching there earlier. I… I am sorry for… everything that I should have done to save you, but I didn’t,” I whispered to her while raising my hand towards her. I wanted to hold her hand, but she was so skinny that I was scared that I would hurt her if I even touched her.

“The Moon Goddess blessed you as my mate, and I have already accepted you. as my mate. It doesn’t matter to me what rank you have held earlier. All I know now is that you are my mate, and you have to wake up for me,” I continued talking with her. The only thing that had comforted me these days. was the change in her skin colour.

Her skin had now started getting its original colour back. She had wheatish. complexion–with good facial features. She was not that beautiful, but she was cute. With some hesitation, I finally managed to put my hand on the top of her hand. A jolt of electricity ran through all the veins inside my b*dy, making Aero purr in delight.

I was overwhelmed due to the intensity of the sparks produced from the place where my hand was touching her hand. “You feel that too, right?” I asked her with a smile. There was no expression on her face, but I knew that she also felt. Aero was still trying to reach her wolf, but to his dismay, she was still

unapproachable.

“Wake up now, my love. I promise that I will punish that leach for putting you through this much pain severely. Crystal is already venting all her anger on him, and soon he will face my wrath too. But I want you to see how painful his life is right now. He can’t die before you see him suffering,” I said further in a bitter tone this time.

I sighed and closed my eyes while taking her hand gently in mine. I brought her hand to my l*ps, and k*ssed the back of her hand gently. I stroked the back of her hand by the pad of my thumb while k*ssing the back of her hand a few

times.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked at her once again. I sighed when I saw no expression on her face. “You know, my mother…. She is also in ICU. They injected her with wolsbane, and now her life is in danger too. But you know what… she is a hard shell. You will laugh at me if you see her. She …(I smiled while remembering my mother)… she is the shortest in our family, even shorter than you. Still, her temper, and her fierceness is something else,” I continued telling her about my mother..

“Even our alpha, Alpha Adrian feared her if she was angry. He loves her as his sister, and he is not the only one who loves her. She is loved by the whole pack. But the most interesting part is,” I paused again and put my elbow at the edge of the bed. I was still holding her hand.

“She always wanted to have more daughters than sons, but she has only one daughter. She is unconscious, or else she has made a ruckus here about why you aren’t woken up yet. She will pamper you in the future, you can trust me on that.” I continued talking with her in a light tone.

I stopped when I was about to say something further when I heard a knock on the door. Dr. Albert entered the room, and bowed lightly in front of me. “When will she wake up, Albert?” I asked him in a desperate tone.

“She survived, Alpha William, when we have lost all hope. Give her some more time, and she will wake up,” he said to me, and I took a deep breath. “Can I shift her to my pack? I have to go back, but I don’t want to go away from her,” I asked him in the same tone.

“I will not advise you to make her travel in this condition, but you also need to stay with her until she wakes up,” he replied to me in a serious tone while reading her charts. “That’s the problem, Albert. Although Vincent is taking care of the pack, the pack needs its alpha too,” I replied to him, and he nodded. in understanding while pursing his l*ps into a thin line.

“Give her two or three more days, Alpha. Let me make some arrangements for her journey, then,” he said to me and I nodded while looking at him with gratitude. “Aaahhh… I forgot to tell you something,” he suddenly exclaimed and looked at me with a wide smile, making me look at him questioningly.

“The result of her blood tests has come out, and we found something strange, he said and my confusion deepened. “Her blood cells have a different kind of

healing ability that I haven’t seen before in any werewolf, not even in an alpha,” he told me, and I chewed on my internal cheeks.

“The vampires fed on her for a long time. It may be possible that their saliva. entered through those wounds inside her b*dy and made some changes?” I replied to him while assuming. He immediately shook his head negatively.

“No, Alpha William. This is not possible. Vampire’s saliva doesn’t have this kind of ability. I have already checked with the saliva of the vampires that we have in our dungeons right now,” he answered me in a calm tone.

“It… it seemed that someone entered something in her b*dy that boosted her immune system… A…… and saved her from dying,” he said further but stuttered in the end. My heart trembled at the mere thought of her death. It meant that someone did something to her to keep her alive.

I just blinked blankly, not knowing how to react to this. Should I feel happy, or should I be angry? Aero was also confused, but he was relieved. No matter how she stayed alive, she was alive and it was the only thing that mattered to me.

“Your mother… the nurse told me that she woke up for a few seconds a few minutes ago before I came here,” he told me, and I gasped in shock. “Really?” I asked him in excitement, and he immediately nodded while having the same. grin on his face.

“O My Goddess… I… I need to inform my father,” I said further and

immediately mind–linked my father. It was early in the morning. I came here so early because I wasn’t able to sleep the whole night. So, I decided to spend some time with my mate. Dad was also in the hospital, and I asked him to take some rest for a while.

“Dad… where are you?” I asked him through MindLink. “What happened? Is Martha okay?” he asked me in a fearful tone. “Yes, dad… she is perfectly fine. Albert just told me that she woke up a few minutes ago,” I told him, but before I could finish telling him the whole thing, he exclaimed aloud.

“I am coming there,” he told me, and he was about to cut off the mind–link when I called him loudly. “What?” he asked me immediately. “She woke up for a few seconds only, Dad. Now she is again sleeping, but the good thing is that she is now out of danger,” I told him everything truthfully, but in a hopeful

voice.

There was silence on his side for a few seconds, making me anxious. I looked at Albert worriedly. “Tell him that I am going to check on her. If everything is okay with her, then I will remove a few machines and will shift her to the normal room,” Albert said to me in a calm tone.

I nodded and mind–linked my father again. “Albert said that he is going to check on her, and if he finds everything okay with her, then he will shift her to the normal room,” I told my father, and this time, I heard him taking a breath of relief.

“I will be there in a few minutes,” he told me in a hurried tone this time. “If Crystal has woken up, then tell her too,” I asked him when I remembered that we needed to tell Crystal too. “Okay… I will tell her,” Dad answered me, and cut off the mind–link.

“Do you want to come with me, Alpha?” Albert asked me, and I looked at my mate once again. “Don’t worry. Nancy will inform you as soon as she opens her eyes,” Albert comforted me, making me take a deep breath. Nancy was my mate’s nurse whom Crystal assigned to take care of my mate.

I once again looked at my mate for one more time before leaving the room. I was glad that my mother’s condition improved. It was the first time that I witnessed my father panic when he saw my mother lying there with so many tubes and wires connected to her b*dy. I was happy for my father.

My mother was on the other side of the corridor, as my mate was in a normal room now and my mother was
