Calla looked up at Lucy, feeling a little curious herself.

Nobody in the finance department had a good impression of the overbearing Peggy. Thus, they all shook their heads and snickered at Lucy’s mockery.

Hearing that, Calla felt quite pleased. She could almost imagine Peggy’s dejected face.

Indeed, dignity might not be worth much to the poor now, but Calla still wanted to maintain her fragile dignity in front of Mercer.
