Chapter 68

Josephine glanced at him coldly and was reminded of the leftover pancake sandwich from Nadine. She looked at the fresh creme anglaise and decided she could no longer tolerate his hypocrisy and disrespect.

"Zam Forbes, I may not have come from an affhent family, but I won't accept leftovers from anyone. It would be better if you keep it for yourself." Josephine walked into the elevator after saying that and managed to close the elevator door before Zayn could rush in. Zayn was left stranded at the elevator as it he was hit by something heavy on the head. Leftovers? What did she mean by that? Did she know that he got the same thing for Nadine? That was impossible. She wasn't spying on him, was she? How could she have known then? It was likely that she thought this was his lettovers.

He was speechless at that thought. Josephine had never complained about him before this. It would seem that she had indeed changed a little. But this was not a problem. He knew her too well, she would be back to being the gentle and understanding wife that she used to be if he gave her all his attention and put in more effort to appease her..

However, now was not the time. Nadine was still not feeling too well and he needed to be with her most of the time. Even it he did manage to pacify Josephine now, she would be throwing tantrums very soon due to his business and absence. He would make sure to spoil her when all this was over.

At that thought, he looked at the creme anglaise he was holding in his hands and threw it into the trash can as he walked out of the hotel. As fate would have it, Zayn saw Ethan as soon as he stepped out of the hotel. When he remembered the scene where Josephine was chattering happily with Ethan, a smirk appeared on his face as he walked directly toward Ethan

Ethan's car was parked not too far from the entrance at the parking lot in front of the hotel. When he saw Zayn and Josephine in a quarrel, he was very worried that Josephine would get hurt from it and he was ready to rush in anytime to protect her. He was glad to see her walking into the elevator safely.

Ethan didn't think that Zayn would be approaching him.

"Listen up, I don't know who you are but I'm a very petty person. I get frustrated when some random guy decides to hang around my wife. So, you'd better stay away from her. If not.."

Zayn spoke in a threatening tone while staring at Ethan with a nasty look. He then delivered a blow to the hood and added, "It looks like I can only teach you how to keep your distance with my fists."

"But Josephine said both of you are divorced."

Zayn's childish remark caught than by surprise. He couldn't hide his disdain as he looked at Zayn and said, "But Jos Zayn was speechless and his facial expression changed when he heard that. He gritted his teeth as he glaced at Ethan, but he was more angry toward Josephine at that moment.

Didn't she just say that he was the only one to be blamed should there be any bad press about their marriage? Who would have known that she had already leaked news about their impending divorce? What did she want to achieve?

Was she thinking about having an affair with Ethan when they were dealing with some minor issues in their marriage? in her dreams!

josephine said something in a haste and you believed her? If she really wanted a divorce, she wouldn't have attended Mrs. Shaw's birthday party with me. You're an outsider and will never understand the intimate nuances in our relationship!" In a calm and collected voice, Ethan replied, "If you consider flirting with your mistress in front of Josephine as part of your so-called intimate nuances, then, I think, you're probably the only one in the world who has that understanding."
