“Mom, Dad, let me introduce you to my classmates. They’re my close friends who’ve been through a lot. with me.”
lab.
Miranda had been observing Mason since his arrival. He was the biggest benefactor of their lab. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he funded half the bricks and tiles.
“Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Hill,” she greeted politely.
Sebastian chimed in, “Hello, Mr. Hill. Mrs. Hill, you look so young.
His compliments made Miranda shoot him a sidelong glance.
“Oh! Hello there.” Mason shook their hands warmly. “Miranda and Seb! Haha… I’ve heard so much about you both from my sweetie. It’s a pleasure to meet you in person, I don’t have much to offer, but here’s something for our first meeting.”
He then pulled out two generous gifts from his coat and handed one to each of them.
Without giving Miranda or Sebastian a chance to refuse, Mason waved his hand and said, “Don’t even think about turning it down. A gift from an elder is not something you refuse. Just keep it.”
Miranda and Sebastian exchanged a glance.
“Thank you, Mr. Hill,” they said in unison.

“Matt, how did you get here before us?” Christine smiled as she stepped out of the car.
She was accompanied by the director and associate director of the Department of Biology at the National University of Technology.
Gideon Wesley, a renowned professor of molecular science, was also present. Penny Fenn, the vice chancellor of Civitas University, and Kalro Wynn, a professor from the School of Information at Evergreen College, also joined them.
Each was a respected figure in the academic world, and now they were all gathered here.
Madison was usually pretty bold, but this scene made her swallow hard. “Uh, Miranda, do you think we’ve gone a bit overboard?”
After all, each guest was a walking encyclopedia and an accomplished expert in their field.
“What’s wrong? Are you scared?” Miranda teased.
Madison straightened up. “Of course not! The bigger the thrill, the better! I love this exhilarating, heart- pounding feeling. It’s awesome!”
Soon, Paul and Sam arrived.
“Dr. Jefferson, we meet again. It’s great to have you here,” Sam said.
Paul replied coolly, “I’m here to support Miranda.”
Their eyes met briefly before quickly looking away. The air was thick with unspoken tension.
Much later when Hendrix arrived with Beckett Haddock, the vice–chancellor, they both stared in disbelief
‘at the towering five–story building before them. Their expressions were a mix of shock and amazement that Miranda and the others had actually built the lab.
At 11:00 am, Joseph and Sophie arrived fashionably late, with Joli, Theodore, Yasmine, Hank, and Willow following closely behind.
“Are you sure this is the right place?” Joseph frowned as he surveyed the surroundings.
