Chapter Finally We're Here
Amy’s POV
"Amy? Amy, wake up."
Samara...
"Please, I beg you, wake up!"
When my eyes opened it was pitch black. Where the hell was I? Then I remembered the slaugher and Hannah crying herself to death. Dammit! I couldn’t believe this was happening right now. Taking a look at the room I sighed. This was not what I was expecting. How the hell I’m going to get out of here!? Ugh!
“Talking to yourself?” Someone asked from the door but because of the sheer darkness, it was hard to tell who it was.
“Who the hell are you and what have you done to this place!” I can’t help but let the venom in my voice heard. This bastard was the reason I was rotting in here.
“Awe...feisty...but you are just needed for a few days. Then you can go back..with your reaper side of course.” He said and went if possible into more darkness.
“What? Are you scared of me? Don’t want to let me see your dickhead of a face?” I smirked feeling the familiar pull. He was afraid of something, but it looked like I wasn't the reason. He was afraid what he’ll do if I do something rebellious.
“So curious to see me. Hmm...we can work something out of you.” He tasked laughing and came to the little light which was coming from the small window. As I looked around me it was clear that I was still in the clan house. In other words, I was in the torture cell to be exact.
Looking back at the man I saw him carrying the book Hannah wanted to save. He couldn’t be more than in his late thirties. He had midnight black hair and deep red eyes.
Hellhounds...
“What kind of hellhound's walking on this earth?” I asked more to myself but he heard it anyway.
“You’re correct but I don’t like the term hellhound. It makes me sound like an old dog-” He chuckled at his own joke "-and it’s not safe to disrespect someone like me for only being a...hellhound.” He finished.
“So what should I call you, Almighty?” I said the word dripping with sarcasm.
“No...but Sage would do.” He replied clearly ignoring me. I frowned at the name. Which parents in their sane mind would give this evil a good name?
“So...the reason you are here. I want you to read this book and call the Seeker.” He straight cut got to the main business. But my mouth went dry upon hearing about seeker. He wanted me to call Danny.
“Why? Can’t you call him yourself?” I said trying to get my voice void of any kind of emotion. If he heard any bitterness behind the words, he didn't question it.
“It only works when the Reaper calls themselves.” He revealed instead while looking at me with curious eyes. Creepy much?
“And what is this work? Look, I’m a very impatient person. I have got a damn reason to know why I’m locked up here!” I finally snapped. He smiled...he fucking smiled!
“Like mother like daughter. Now I can see where this feisty ness was coming from.” Hearing him, my voice dried down. What the hell was he talking about?!
“My mother... You mean Roth?” He shook his head and gave a daring smirk.
“Keep guessing, feisty.” He challenged.
“Then my real birth mother?” I asked not knowing if I should be happy or feel threatened. Last thing I knew she was the reason for my sister’s death.
“That’s the one. But I can’t tell the same thing about her or you though.” He said chuckling. Why is everything so...complected?
“What do you mean by that?” I asked getting confused. Whenever I was nervous I tapped my foot. So, I wasn't even surprised when the sound of tapping my foot constantly brought a disgust filled look on Sage's face.
“You do know seekers kill reapers, don’t you? So when you’ll summon the seeker using this book, of course, he’ll have no choice but to kill you. That’s where you’re dandy. You and your mother will be killed by him and all the reaper bloodline will be swept off. Then I can finally walk on this earth.” He said dreamily before opening his eyes to glare at me. "Unless you're carrying a reaper already."
Was this guy crazy!?
“We’re already on earth. If you forgot to look around. And, even if I was pregnant, who said it's any of your business?” I said taking a grip. Of course, I wasn't pregnant. The only person I slept with was...Zach. And that was so long ago. So, I had to chant over and again, control Amy... Control. I don’t want to kill him...not yet. But only laughter could be heard in this darkness.
“Doesn't matter if you're carrying a child or not. It wouldn't get to see the world cause you're dying soon. And are you sure that we're on earth? Cause the last thing I know we’re in limbo, honey, where no one can get out without lifting the veil of hell.” He finished.
Damn my fate...
Harrison’s POV
In these days I don’t know what was going through Dalton’s head. I said nicely that now that his job was done he could return to Tennessee. But he flat out refused and told me that it was necessary for me to stay with someone powerful like him to survive. But as for now, I didn’t get any unnatural cases.
Yes...sometimes I got restless and had nightmares for the whole night but overall it was as normal as I could get. I had three other cases where the murderers were caught. I’ve been continually busy with office work. Without Aaron, it's more difficult to work nowadays. As for Dalton, he was still unstable. When the weakened came I had a little time to rest and finish the diary.
“What are you looking for?” I jumped at the voice only to see Dalton was sitting in my bed. He gave me a weird look which I ignored slamming the top drawer shut.
Where the hell is this diary!?
“Nothing... Just some documents.” I lied cause I didn’t want him to think that I was a creep obsessing over a diary.
“Oh really? But I thought you were looking for a Brown diary?” My hands stopped halfway opening the bottom drawer. Glancing back I noticed him giving me that weird look again.
“OK. You got me. I need the diary and I can’t find it anywhere. Do you remember where the last time I put it somewhere?” I asked him cause he’s the only one that is living with me in these days.
“I burned it.” He bluntly replied. What!? Did I hear that right?
“What!?” I yelled my mind so he could clear my confusion.
“You heard me, I burned it. You were too much obsessing over a little diary.” He replied again with no emotion.
“What the hell you think you’ve done! I needed that diary... But you... How could you!” I snapped at him and finally, he flinched.
“Look kid...you’re from my clan even if you don’t believe. I’m your clan leader. I want to do what’s best for you. And I know your secret now and why you didn’t want to tell me.” He said with a sigh. But I was angry and scared. What if he already knows? What if he already did something about it? But no one knew of it... right?
But he cut me off from my thought and told me what exactly I wanted to hide. He also told me that he had a deal for me which can relieve me from my pain. But without saying anything I got out of the office and went to the only place I’ll feel safe for now.
My house.
But when I reached the house my own fear started to eat me out. Why I’m so afraid? Am I afraid that I’ll disappoint myself again or let my emotion control me? Can’t I face my secret after so long time? But nothing was helping when the entire house was empty. Did my fear come out right? Cause the last thing I knew Amy wasn’t here. My fear has won...
I, Daniel Harrison, has lost her again...without any explanation.
A/N
So, guys, I know this chapter is a little confusing. So the main thing that happened is Amy found herself kidnapped by Sage the hellhound who wants to sweep the reaper bloodline. At the end of her POV, she comes to know that she’s in limbo where hell hound can walk on. And finally, it reveals that Danny and Harrison is the same person. So If you are confused again his full name is Daniel Harrison aka Danny. As you know Danny helped Amy to escape and offered his house, he lived in his office instead and he is the seeker they were talking about. And this was his secret that he played the police in the first chapter so they can’t know of his involvement. And if you ask if he knew Amy than why he’s obsessing over her diary I’ll let you know in next chapter.
