Chapter 7
Sammie
After my friends left, I drank a few pouches of warm blood. I was planning on settling in for the night, so decidedly, I opted to take a cozy bath and relax with a bottle of wine and my book. After everything that’s been happening these last couple of weeks, I simply felt like being a homebody.
I had just stepped out of my Jacuzzi tub and wrapped a towel around myself when I heard a tap against the glass double doors on my bedroom balcony. Instantly I knew who it was by his soothing scent, Devon. I dashed over to let him in and was immediately swept up into his warm muscular arms bridal style. I peppered kisses over his handsome face, and he let out a small chuckle.
“Wow, baby, did you miss me?’
I nodded enthusiastically as I ran my fingers through his soft ebony hair. He looked tired, and his five o’clock shadow was in dire need of a trim.
“I missed you too, my little firecracker.” He smirked.
Instantly aware that I was in literally nothing but a towel, Devon maneuvered my body so that I was now held up by him with my legs wrapped around his torso and let out a sexy groan.
“You didn’t have to dress up on my account Sammie.” He teased as his eyes perused the white towel sheathing me.
Within seconds I tossed the towel to the side, revealing my naked form against him, giving Devon a devilish grin.
“Well, baby, it looks like the only one who’s overdressed now is you.”
Hunger and lust-filled his eyes as they shifted from ice blue to blackish violet. His lips crashed into mine, consuming me with his dominating tongue. I moaned, beginning to feel the aching need of my core.
“Fuck me now, Devon…” I commanded breathlessly.
“As you command, my Queen.” He growled as he slowly carried me to my bed.

The sound of the rain spattering against my bedroom floor woke me. I looked at the clock – 4 am. Dev and I had finally tuckered each other out a couple of hours ago. A silly grin spread across my plump lips as I remembered our delightful evening exploring each other’s bodies, our limits, just … everything.
Of course, we had forgotten to close the glass double doors that led out to my balcony on the second floor. Now the harsh winds were propelling heavy raindrops onto my coffee-colored Bellawood floors. I carefully removed myself from under Devon’s strong arm, which had been resting on my exposed stomach, and stood up from my bed. I grabbed his black cotton tee shirt, enjoying his scent embracing my senses, and slipped it over my bare form. I loved Devon’s comforting scent. I silently crept over to the bathroom and grabbed a couple of towels. A small puddle had formed at the entrance to my room off the balcony, and I wanted to get it dried up before it left an unsightly water stain. After I cleaned up the rain’s debris, I stood ready to close the glass double doors. I glanced outside, and off amongst the tree-lined edge of my back yard, I saw deep cobalt blue eyes staring directly at me menacingly.
Jareth!
I blinked, and just as before, my vision of him was gone. I stepped out onto the veranda, the strong winds and rain blowing directly in my path. I tilted my head slightly, attempting to capture his scent if indeed he had been there, but just as before, nothing of his phantom presence remained. Like a ghost, not a single trace of his scent nor any sight of him existed.
“You’re losing it, girl,” I whispered to myself.
I sighed and shut the two doors sheltering my room from the raging storm that bellowed outside.
Devon stirred in his sleep. He must have sensed that I was no longer next to him and peered his groggy eyes over in my direction.
“Hey sleepyhead, did I wake you?”
“No, baby. I just felt you leave and wanted to make sure everything was ok. What are you doing over there?”
I calmed my demeanor, not wanting him to think that his girlfriend was now hallucinating her dead vampire ex-boyfriend has appeared a couple of times. No, doing that would only stir the possessive Alpha, and I didn’t want to cause him to worry for naught.
“Rain woke me up. I forgot to shut the balcony doors, so I just went to close them. That’s all.”
“Oh, ok. You seemed distraught for a second; everything alright?”
Not trusting my own words, I simply nodded.
“You sure, Sammie?”
“Yep, everything’s just fine, baby. I thought I heard something, but it turns out it was nothing. I swear.”
Devon’s lips curled in a predatory smirk as he patted the empty spot next to him.
“Good, now come back to bed, my little firecracker. Someone’s awake …. “

Unknown
I made my way down the long corridor of my new home, Dasha’s bunker. I hated this place. I hated the fucking monotonous color scheme that oozed from pretty much every pore of this god-forsaken place, grey. Not just any grey, mind you, but rather a dull, lifeless, mind-numbing grey. Grey walls, grey halls, grey floors, grey doors, every fucking thing was decked with that tiresome color. But this was my home none the less. Well, mine and who knows how many other vampires and werewolves included. I had lost count after a hundred and seven. Most of the residents were made to share rooms with either two or three roomies per dorm. I was amongst the few lucky ones. I had my own room. As I should, I was one of the first in her Army. Her general. So, despite my disdain for my current living conditions, I tolerated it because of the power associated with my being here aligned with the bitch herself.
I had just returned from another one of her reconnaissance missions over at that mutt’s pack lands. I was sent there to find out if there was any new word on what that moron and his muttly cohorts were up to. I didn’t see the two witches, so of course, I was able to sneak about more freely as long as I kept hidden in the shadows.
It was just the dogs and their pack today and no mention of the attacks nor talk of retaliation. I knew they wouldn’t let our attack slide, so I could only assume they weren’t ready to strike.
Fine by me. It makes my life that much easier.
I reached Dasha’s door and, without knocking, made my way inside.
The sight before me would have probably given me a rock-hard stiffy, but I had already seen this so many times that I was numb, even disgusted by it.
Despite the monotone décor that covered the bunker’s entirety, Dasha’s room was the opposite. She preferred to decorate her bedroom in deep, rich burgundies and golds throughout. She had a massive four-poster canopy bed in the center against one of the walls and Louis XIV rococo pieces of furniture completing her room’s furnishings. Goddess, this bitch thought she was a fucking queen or something.
The sounds of muffled moans were coming from Dasha’s bed.
She was lying on her back completely naked with one of our newest recruits was nose deep in her pussy, lapping up her juices like a hungry dog as she fingered some naked wolf chick beside her.
I cleared my throat, making myself known, and she opened her dark green eyes, peering over at me with an irritated expression. Dasha stopped finger diddling the female who just lay there, massaging Dasha’s tits like a good little pup.
The newb, however, stopped chowing down and growled at me.
I scoffed. This piece of shit didn’t know who he was fucking with.
“Dasha.” I gave a slight bow. Gotta stroke her infinite ego, you know.
“What are you doing here?” She asked with a slight annoyance in her voice.
“I was reporting back to you as you requested about my visit to the mutt’s pack.”
“And?”
“So far, nothing. It looks like the witches aren’t even there now, just the mongrels.”
The newb growled at our interaction.
Dasha glared at him.
“What the fuck are you growling at? No one told you to stop, and it isn’t going to eat itself out! Get back to what you were doing … NOW!”
I did my best to contain the burst of laughter that was threatening to escape. Fucking idiot didn’t know his place.
“Nothing new. It looks like the fools are still working on getting their shit together after the last attack.”
“Hmm. OK. Well, that’ll do for now, but I want you to keep an ear out and return in a couple of days. I know they won’t remain quiet for long.”
“Yes, Boss,” I saluted like the good little soldier she thinks I am.
“That’ll be all then.” She waved her hand dismissively towards me.
“Sounds good.”
Dasha rested her head back onto her pillows and motioned for her little plaything to stop his feasting so that she could taste him, then sent her little she-wolf to continue the job the newb had started.
That is one crazy bitch. I thought to myself.
I turned to leave and couldn’t help but catch sight of him. The vampire. He was sitting in the darkest corner of Dasha’s room in a chair, silently reclined with his legs crossed as he sipped on a glass of brandy.
I nodded at him, and he merely rolled his eyes at me facetiously. I hated the guy; he was such a fucking creeper. I couldn’t really understand why the fuck Dasha even kept him around. He was her second in command, no less. Fucking ridiculous!
I gave a quick shrug as I headed out the door and back into the hallway. As soon as I exited, an attractive young couple met me in the hallway outside Dasha’s door. Probably in their early twenties. Both were clad in nothing but their underwear. I shook my head.
“You must be her dessert. She’s still having dinner. Just let yourselves in and wait silently till she addresses you. Trust me; it’ll be easier that way. Good luck, newbs.”
I chuckled and walked away. I realized after seeing all that kinky shit happening I needed to rub one off myself.
