Chapter the Wife 67
Chapter 67 Another Encounter
Sally was sitting in the dressing room, carefully adjusting her makeup.
She wasn’t dead.
She was very much alive.
Thinking about what happened six months ago felt like a nightmare to Sally.
That day, the apartment caught fire, and she had almost given up hope of survival–there was simply no chance to escape in such a situation.
However, things took a sudden turn.
An old man suddenly broke through the window and forcefully dragged her out.
To Sally’s surprise, the arsonist who set the fire in the apartment–a middle–aged woman–did not leave after starting the fire but greedily returned to the apartment to take more valuables. She perished in the flames.
The old man saved Sally, and when Sally woke up, she saw Andy’s face!
Sally was so excited that she could hardly speak, and Andy later explained everything to her.
It turned out that when Andy fell off the cliff, he coincidentally met an old man, Berkeley, who was gathering herbs.
Coincidentally, Berkeley used to be Jacqueline’s teacher!
Berkeley was in a hurry to stop Andy’s bleeding and took off the blood–stained clothes Andy was wearing -this explained why Anders‘ men found only the bloody clothes when they searched for Andy’s body at the bottom of the cliff.
Berkeley saved Andy, and Andy told him about his situation and begged Berkeley to check on Sally. Unexpectedly, when Berkeley arrived, he saw the apartment on fire.
This led to the events that followed.
After hearing the whole story, Sally collapsed in Andy’s arms, crying uncontrollably.
It was so good…
Andy wasn’t dead, and Gale was also alive and well.
The only regret for Sally was that Laura could never return.
The more Sally thought about it, the angrier she became. Finally, she decided to take back everything that belonged to her.
Later, Sally came up with a plan.
Sally looked at herself in the mirror, her gaze becoming sharper.
She knew she was beautiful.
If used properly, her beauty could become a weapon for revenge.
Sally started by making short videos to gain fame and eventually became an internet celebrity.
And now…
The Bilal family held a top position in the capital. Recently, their company announced the development of a new game and needed a woman with good looks and temperament to be the game’s spokesperson.
Sally knew her opportunity had come.
She signed up for the audition for the spokesperson.
She was determined to win this role!
Sally finished adjusting her makeup and quickly left the dressing room. She knew that Mary would be at the event today.
She was eager to see what expression Mary would have when she saw her!
Sally’s heart was almost bursting with excitement.
The auditions were held at a five–star hotel. The candidates filled the corridors, and Sally walked calmly among them, her gaze steady.
As she walked forward, she suddenly saw two people approaching.
She would recognize them even if they turned to dust.
Rage surged within Sally.
But thinking of her revenge plan, she knew she had to keep her cool.
At least, she couldn’t cause a scene with these two at this moment.
Calming herself quickly, Sally continued walking straight ahead without looking aside.
Anders soon noticed Sally coming towards them!
His heart leaped into his throat!
It was… Sally!
Mary, still immersed in her affection for Anders, had no idea that her nemesis was approaching.
Sally walked past Anders without a change in expression, but Anders suddenly grabbed her arm with a dark look on his face.
Sally’s brow twitched.
Anders looked at her with displeasure.
“You’re still alive…” Anders said through gritted teeth.
Mary was shocked to see Sally!
How could this be…
Wasn’t this woman dead?
Why was she standing here alive and well?
Mary stood there, stunned.
Sally pried Anders‘ fingers off her arm one by one, her face indifferent. “Please, show some respect.”
Anders was instantly angered by her words. “Sally, shouldn’t you explain why you’re here?”
Sally resisted the urge to slap him and replied coldly, “Why shouldn’t I be here? Is this hotel owned by your family? Can’t I come here?”
Anders was shocked by how much more irritating Sally’s words had become in just six months.

“You, come with me now!” Anders ordered.
Sally stepped back. “Mr. Anders, I’m not your pet. Maybe this command works better on the woman next to you.”
Mary’s face turned deathly pale.
That damned Sally!
Wasn’t she dead?
How could she be here?
Was she a ghost or a human?
Sally could feel Mary’s fear.
This was exactly the effect she wanted.
Honestly, if Anders weren’t here, Sally wouldn’t hesitate to slap Mary twice.
This hateful woman had repeatedly framed and slandered her, nearly destroying her life.
This time, fortune had finally favored her.
Sally knew she had to firmly grasp her fate this time.
Taking a deep breath, she mocked, “Instead of bothering me, why don’t you think about how to succeed in the audition later?”
Sally’s words reminded Mary. Mary shook Anders, who was still in a daze, and said coquettishly, “Honey,” can you help me change clothes? The audition is about to start.”
Anders finally snapped out of it, hesitantly nodded, and left with Mary.
Once they were gone, Sally felt the air became much fresher.
Those two bastards.
Sally cursed them silently.
Sally collected her number tag and was surprised to find she was the last to enter.
Coincidentally, Mary was right before her.
Things were getting more interesting.
Sally’s lips curved into a slight smile.
By noon, Sally was finally called into the audition room.
The room was filled with people, and other failed actresses watched from the sidelines. Sally immediately spotted Mary still performing on stage.
The audition was simple: the actresses had to perform a dance barefoot on stage.
Since it wasn’t her turn yet, Sally stood offstage, quietly watching the performance.
The person in charge of the audition, Byron, was fawning over a man sitting in the corner.
The man was handsome but had a cold expression. His gaze swept across the room and finally landed on Sally.
This woman…
“Mr. Calvin,” Byron bowed and scraped, “the auditions almost over. Do you see any suitable actresses

for the spokesperson role?”
In fact, Byron already had someone in mind when he spoke to Calvin.
