Chapter the Wife 65
Chapter 65 Gale Appears
One of the psychiatric patients, with a twisted smile, pointed at Sally’s face and said, “Look… her face, her face is beautiful. Let’s tear it off and use it as a mask!”
What?
Tear it off?
Sally was so frightened that she grabbed a pillow nearby: “Don’t come near! Don’t come near! If you do, I’ll kill you!”
But the patients weren’t scared at all; instead, they approached her with grinning faces: “Tear off her face, tear off her face!”
Sally screamed in terror: “Get away! Don’t touch me, don’t touch me!”
The patients started tearing at Sally’s clothes, even trying to scratch her face.
“Ah-” Sally curled up in a corner, trembling. Just when she was about to bite her tongue to kill herself, a group of people suddenly rushed in!
Before Sally could react, two patients in front of her were kicked away hard!
Sally looked at the person in front of her in horror.
It was…
It was Gale!
Sally collapsed to the ground in shock.
The bodyguards quickly subdued the patients, and Gale hurriedly helped Sally up from the floor.
Sally, trembling all over, looked at him.
“Gale…” Sally’s voice was hoarse.
“It’s me.” Gale stared at her seriously.
Sally’s lips moved slightly, and after a few seconds, she tremblingly asked, “Are you a uman or a ghost?”
Gale looked at her in surprise, then gently took her hand and placed it on his cheek.
“Sally, I have body heat,” Gale said with a gentle smile. I’m a living person.”
Tears immediately streamed down Sally’s face.
“Gale…” Sally cried as she threw herself into Gale’s arms.
It turned out everything was a trick designed by Mary.
Gale had been in the hospital for treatment all this time, and now that he appeared and seemed healthy, it was clear he had been recovering.
She was so foolish to have believed Mary’s lies so easily.
Gale gently patted Sally’s back and said, “It’s okay, it’s okay… Sally, I’ll never leave you.”
Sally cried even harder.
Gale was her brother, her real brother!
No wonder she always felt a strange sense of familiarity every time she saw Gale.

And Gale, too, had always protected her wholeheartedly after meeting her.
It turned out everything was destined.

Gale wanted to take Sally to an external hospital for a check–up, but Sally was very resistant to the idea. She shook her head vigorously: “No… no, Gale, I don’t want to go to the hospital, I don’t want to go to the hospital!”
Gale didn’t force her and said, “Okay, if you don’t want to go, we won’t go. I’ll take you home, okay?”
“Okay…” Sally nodded.
Gale took Sally out of the psychiatric hospital and drove her home.
Sally was exhausted. She wanted to tell Gale the truth that she was his real sister, but she was too tired
and didn’t know how to start the conversation. Finally, she fell asleep in the back seat.
When Sally woke up, it was already noon the next day.
A hot meal was waiting for her on the bedside table.
Sally sat up suddenly and walked into the living room, calling out, “Gale, are you here?”
She was met with silence.
Sally felt a bit lost.
Gale must have had something to do and left temporarily.
Before leaving the apartment, he even remembered to make her breakfast.
Gale was truly her good brother.
Sally stood by the window, daydreaming. Just as she was about to return to her room for lunch, a burnt smell suddenly reached her nose!
Sally was shocked!
She turned around and saw that the apartment was filled with smoke!
The apartment was on fire!
Sally rushed to the door in panic, but it was locked from the outside!
“Open the door! Open the door!” Sally frantically banged on the door, but it didn’t budge.
The smoke inside the room was getting thicker. Sally ran back inside and grabbed her phone!
She intended to call Gale, but her hand shook, and she accidentally dialed Anders‘ number instead!
Sally, in a panic, wanted to hang up, but the call was answered immediately.
“What?” Anders‘ impatient voice quickly came through the phone.
Sally’s eyes filled with tears.
Choking on the smoke, Sally couldn’t help coughing a few times and tearfully said, “Anders, please save me… I’m about to die…”
Anders frowned, “What trick are you playing now?”
Sally cried even more sorrowfully: “My apartment is on fire… I can’t open the door…”
Anders was unmoved and even responded with a mocking tone: “Can’t open the door? Fine… then die.” Sally’s eyes widened in disbelief!

Anders continued, “Today I’m getting engaged to Mary. Why are you calling me now? Are you trying to ruin my engagement ceremony?”
“I didn’t…” Sally tried to explain, but Anders interrupted her impatiently: “Let me tell you, stop thinking I’ll ever believe you again… Sally, you’re just a worthless woman!”
Sally’s phone slipped from her hand.
She suddenly smiled bitterly.
She had hoped Anders would save her!
How ridiculous, she was so ridiculous.
She was truly pathetic, still begging Anders to save her at this point!
Sally turned around and looked at the worsening fire in the apartment, finally closing her eyes in despair.
Anders and Mary’s engagement ceremony was attended by many celebrities, including Gale.
However, Gale didn’t like Anders at all, so after seeing him, he didn’t even think about talking to him.
Anders also didn’t want to deal with Gale.
They had been brothers for many years, but because of Sally, their relationship had dropped to freezing point.
Gale, bored, sat by the window, staring at the scenery outside.
Feeling a bit bored, he took out his phone and checked it.
He sent a message to Sally, but she didn’t reply.
Gale found it strange and decided to call Sally, but there was still no response.
Sally’s health was already poor, and seeing that she didn’t answer the phone, Gale became worried.
He thought for a moment and decided to go to Sally’s apartment to check on her.
Gale had just taken a few steps when he ran into Anders head–on.
Anders hesitated, but Gale instinctively rolled his eyes.
“Where are you going?” Anders, not wanting to make things awkward, asked casually.
Gale glanced at Anders and sneered, “I’m going to find Sally, of course. I called her earlier, but she didn’t answer. I won’t disturb your engagement ceremony.”
However, Anders‘ face suddenly changed!
He remembered what Sally had said during her call earlier.
And just then, two people walked past them, seemingly discussing something quietly.
“Hey… I saw an apartment on fire on my way here!” one person said.
“Really?” the other man responded.
“Yes! I heard a woman lived there, a very beautiful one. Such a pity… she’s gone now…”
Both Gale and Anders‘ faces changed dramatically!
Gale rushed downstairs first!
