Chapter 31 The Recording

Sally took Gale to Andy’s grave. Gale placed a bouquet of white chrysanthemums in front of the tombstone, then sat down and talked to the grave for a long time.

Sally watched the scene unfold, seeing Gale’s earnest expression filled her heart with sorrow.

If only she had met Gale earlier, would her life be different now?

But there are no “ifs” in life.

Her body was already worn out, and Andy had left her forever.

Looking at Andy’s smiling photo on the tombstone, Sally felt her breath stop.

She must make Mary, that hateful woman, pay the price!

She must avenge Andy!

But looking at Gale in front of her, Sally couldn’t reveal her entire plan.

After all, Gale was Mary’s younger brother, and she didn’t want Gale to turn against his sister because of

her.

When Sally returned to her place, she went to a nearby phone store to buy a new SIM card and then managed to get John’s phone number.

After doing all this, Sally called John directly.

Sally deliberately lowered her voice, so when John heard it, he thought it was some mature woman talking to him.

“Hello, Mr. John,” Sally said, “Miss Mary asked me to call you.”

Hearing Mary’s name, John’s eyes instantly sharpened

“Oh? What does she want?” John’s tone was unfriendly. “Tell that woman, just because she’s been avoiding me lately doesn’t mean I can’t deal with her. If she doesn’t meet me soon, she’ll regret it!” Listening t

to John’s threatening words, Sally couldn’t help but sneer inwardly.

Her eyes quickly darted around, and then she smiled and said, “How could that be? Mr. John, you misunderstood Miss Mary. She didn’t mean to avoid you.”

“Oh, then what does she mean?” John’s tone was not good, “Could it be that she called you to give me money?”

“Ah, you guessed right!” Sally’s eyes sparkled, “Yes, Mary indeed said she wanted to give you money.”

Hearing the affirmative answer, John was stunned.

“She really asked you to give me money?” John asked again uncertainly.

“That’s right,” Sally smiled, “So, Mr. John, when are you available? I can bring the money to you.”

Thinking John would readily agree, she was surprised when he suddenly sneered: “Huh, Mary wants to brush me off with money, right?”

Before Sally could refute, John said fiercely, “Go back and tell that woman, if she thinks she can get rid of me, she’s dreaming! I’ll never let her go! I’m going to find her right now!”

After saying that, John hung up the phone.

Sally became excited instantly.

If she could capture John and Mary together, she would have enough evidence to expose Mary’s misdeeds to Anders.

Thinking of how Anders always defended Mary, Sally felt nothing but disgust.

She couldn’t understand why Anders was always fooled by Mary!

Sally took a taxi to Anders‘ villa. She didn’t dare knock on the door, so she hid behind some bushes in the villa’s garden.

After a while, John indeed arrived at the villa!

Sally swallowed nervously.

John first made an angry call to Mary, and soon the villa door opened.

Mary appeared at the door!

Mary first looked around nervously, then lowered her voice and said angrily, “Why are you here? Didn’t I tell you not to come looking for me?”

John sneered a few times and then said, “You hired someone to give me money, right?”

Mary was stunned: “What do you mean? Who did I hire?”

John thought Mary was playing dumb, so he said angrily, “You wicked woman, after using me, you want to kick me to the curb! I tell you, if you push me too far, see how I deal with you!”

Mary couldn’t hold back her anger: “What are you talking about? I don’t know anything about what you’re saying! You better leave now, Anders is out, but he could be back any time! If he finds you here, you’ll be in big trouble.”

John frowned: “Are you threatening me?”

Mary was furious with John’s stupidity: “I’m looking out for you! You know what Anders is like! If you’re not afraid of dying, stay here! Let’s see what happens!”

John decided not to give Mary any face and said, “Stop pretending with me! Mary, others might not know, but I know exactly what kind of person you are…”

Sally quickly took out her phone to record.

Mary wanted to stop John from continuing, but he said recklessly: “You think you’re some pure and innocent girl? You’re nothing but a slut! We’ve been together since middle school. How many times have we slept together? Don’t you remember?”

Hiding behind the bushes, Sally’s eyes widened!

“You can’t do that!” Mary’s voice trembled, “Anders promised me that next month he’ll find a way to divorce Sally and then get engaged to me… You can’t ruin this for me!”

John was thrilled to see, Mary looking scared.

“Now you know fear? Hmph… If you’re going to marry that guy, I have nothing to

say. But…”

John gave her a sinister look and said, “You know what to do on your engagement night, right?”

Mary suppressed her anger and said, “I know, I know! On the night of the engagement, I’ll go to you. Is that okay?”

John finally got the answer he wanted. He smiled in satisfaction and then kissed Mary hard on the face.

“Alright, that’s settled then!” John said proudly, “Not just on the engagement night, whenever I need you, you have to come to me, understand?”

Mary could only nod grudgingly: “Understood!”

John finally left.

Mary watched John’s back, her eyes filled with malice.

That hateful man, one day she would kill him!

Mary was lost in thought and didn’t go back inside immediately.

Sally stayed hidden behind the bushes. Since Mary didn’t move, neither did she.

Why wasn’t Mary going back in?
