Chapter 358
Chapter 358
Hendrix initially planned to drop Noelle off at Nivis Villa. However, for some reason, he changed his mind and took her to the company instead.
This wasn't Noelle's first time at Amity Group, but it was the first time she'd walked into the building hand in hand with Hendrix.
This bold gesture of his naturally drew attention. Nearly everyone they passed turned to look at them. But because of Hendrix's status, no one dared to stare openly. Instead, those furtive glances inevitably landed on Noelle.
Feeling discomfited by their gazes, Noelle instinctively tried to pull her hand away. But Hendrix seemed intent on challenging her. The more she struggled, the tighter his grip became.
Noelle knew she couldn't keep struggling with him, not when they were out in public. Thus, she had no choice but to give up, choosing instead to ignore the stares and follow him quietly into his office.
Hendrix's excuse to Beatrice about being busy wasn't just a pretext. After being away on a business trip for several days, his workload had piled up. The moment he returned to the office, it was an endless strearn of meetings.
Struggling with jet lag, Noelle couldn't hold out for long after sitting in the office for only a short while. Hendrix wasn't back yet, and since he was the one who had insisted on dragging her there in the first place, she decided to unapologetically stretch out on the couch to take a nap.
She'd had moments like this before, falling asleep on a couch while working late at her own company. But Hendrix's couch was far more comfortable. As soon as her eyes closed, she drifted into a deep sleep. When she woke up, she was momentarily disoriented by the unfamiliar surroundings. It took her a while to remember she was in Hendrix's office.
By now, the sky had darkened. A single lamp had been left en beside her, and a blanket had been draped over her. Noelle couldn't tell if Hendrix had come back and then left again, or if someone else had been in to cover her with the blanket.
Having slept for so long, she still felt a little disoriented. After sitting up for a few moments to gather herself, she got up to find something to eat.
It was well past office hours, but the lights in the secretary's office across the hall were still brightly lit. As soon as Noelle stepped out of the office, someone approached her.
"Mrs. Freeman, you're awake. Do you need anything?"
The overly eager attitude of the person startled Noelle. She paused for a moment before replying, "I just want to go out and find something to eat."
After speaking, she suddenly remembered something and added, "Hendrix didn't say I couldn't leave here, did he?
Her question made the person's expression shift subtly.
At first, Noelle thought she had hit the mark, but the next second, they quickly shook their head. "No, no. Not at all. But if you'd rather not go out, I can run out and get whatever you want. What would you like to eat?"
"That's not necessary. I'll go myself."
"Noelle was just glad that Hendrix didn't confine her this time. Ever since he had locked her in a hotel room last
time, she felt there was nothing he wouldn't do.
After sitting through a grueling flight that lasted over ten hours and spending the rest of the day either in the car

or in his office, Noelle desperately needed a chance to stretch her legs.
However, despite Amity Group's prime location in the most expensive part of Coppersville, the nearby
area was lacking in dining options. In fact, it was m fast-food joints and convenience stores.
As Noelle scrolled through the search results and debated whether to call for a ride to find a proper meal, a voice called out, "Elle?"
Her fingers stopped mid-scroll.
To be honest, she wasn't quite used to being addressed that way by someone she wasn't close to.
