Chapter 331
Chapter 331
When Noelle saw the guy, she was stunned. Then, she looked at the two women fighting by the side. Sandra's hair was a mess, and there was a palm print on her face. Instead of a fight, it was more like Sandra getting beaten
The woman pressing on her didn't back away. She took a beer bottle and was about to hit Sandra's head with it when the man, Javier, finally couldn't take it anymore and grabbed her hand. "What are you
doing?
"Let me go! Are you seriously defending this slut? Javier, don't forget how you came to this position! Without me, you're nothing!"
The woman was angry, and as they fought, the bottle flew toward her.
Noelle was just standing at the door. When the bottle flew toward her, she wanted to take a step back. However, the person behind her was faster.
Hendrix blocked it with his hand. The bottle hit his arm before it fell onto the ground, making a loud noise.
The atmosphere in the private room shifted, and everyone looked over.
When Javier's eyes met Hendrix's, he was stunned first before his face turned livid.
Noelle's gaze landed on Sandra.
Her hair was still messy, and the eyes that had been brimming with tears of grievance just moments ago now stared blankly at them. She didn't even notice the woman still tugging at her clothes, as though frozen in place.
Just then, the restaurant staff arrived, quickly stepping in to separate the group. Hendrix didn't bother with the commotion any further and directly grabbed Noelle's hand, leading her away.
Noelle's mind lingered on the way Sandra had looked at her just now. So, when Hendrix pulled her forward, she didn't react immediately.
It wasn't until he had brought her into the car that she seemed to snap out of it. "Shouldn't you go back and get Sandra out of there?" she asked.
Hendrix frowned. "Why should I?"
"She's your childhood sweetheart, isn't she? Don't you feel sorry for her, being bullied like that?" After Noelle said this, Hendrix unexpectedly fell silent. Then, he leaned closer, staring straight into her eyes. "Are you jealous?"
Noelle only smiled.
They were in the most bustling part of Coppersville, where, for many, the night was just beginning. The flickering neon lights reflected in Noelle's eyes, making her pupils appear even brighter. But in her gaze, Hendrix couldn't find any trace of emotion.
Annoyance? Bitterness? None of it.
Even Sandra's current situation didn't make her feel good. Her earlier question wasn't a jab or mockery. Hendrix's expression quickly shifted back to one of indifference. He leaned back into his seat, fastened his seatbelt, and said nothing more.
The car had traveled some distance before Hendrix couldn't hold back anymore and said, "I've already explained my relationship with Sandra very clearly to you before. I've always seen her as a little sister. Since you didn't like

me being too close to her, I've kept my distance.
"If you don't believe me, you can check my phone. I haven even sent her a single message."
As he spoke, Hendrix shoved his phone toward Noelle.
But she made no move to take it, only responding with a soft "oh".
She then added, "You don't need to explain to me. I don't care."
