The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power

Chapter 959 Dare Not Act Arbitrarily!

Next to him, Quintus hurriedly nodded, saying, "Yes, yes, I promise. In just five minutes, we will clear everything inside and leave. We won't cause you any trouble." Quintus and River looked at Kevin with hopeful eyes, hoping that he would let them off for the sake of money.

Kevin, with a cold smile, pointed to the two stars and two bars on his shoulder, saying, "Do you know what this is?"

"This is... shoulder insignia?" Quintus asked in confusion. "This is your military rank?"

"Wrong! This is responsibility! The responsibility of a soldier!" Kevin said solemnly. "What do you think the soldiers of Qustia are?! How dare you bribe with money?!"

Quintus' legs gave in, listening to Kevin's impassioned words, and he collapsed to the ground. He knew he had completely miscalculated. Bribing a senior military officer openly only added fuel to the fire. Kevin looked at him coldly. "So, you sealed off the road arbitrarily without official authorization?"

"Yes..." Quintus cried in fear. "But, Colonel, we really didn't know you were coming here for exercises! If I had known, I wouldn't dare to block your way! It's all Kendall's fault! He's the heir of the Lawson Group. He said with him around, not even the town's management would dare do anything to us. How could I have known something like this would happen?!"

He was truly on the verge of a breakdown. Sealing off the road, on an insignificant level, would disrupt the traffic, but on a greater scale, they would be disrupting military affairs.

"Kendall Lawson?" Kevin was momentarily confused. He was here on a mission to protect Ares, the God of War, and was unaware of any involvement of Kendall.

Worried that Kendall might be connected to Ares, Kevin refrained from taking unilateral action.

At that, he turned to Kingsley. "This... citizen, you witnessed the entire incident. How do you think we should handle them?"

Without permission, Kevin didn't want to expose Kingsley's identity. So, he pretended not to know and referred to him as a citizen. This left everyone in the vicinity utterly astonished.

People stared at Kevin, unable to comprehend why a regiment commander would seek the opinion of an ordinary civilian.

River and Quintus, too, were dumbfounded. Just moments ago, they were at odds with this young man. Now, the military officer was asking for his opinion. Would they still stand a chance? Of course not! River quickly spoke, "Colonel, why are you asking him? Look at him; he's practically a child. How can he have any say?!"

Robert, too, gathered courage, pointing to the Lawson Family's bodyguards on the ground. "Exactly Colonel. Look at these people lying here. He's the one who injured them all! He's simply a thug. How can you not arrest him and ask for his

opinion instead?!"

Upon hearing Robert's words, Kevin glanced at the bodyguards.

He had been curious about these bodyguards, and now, thanks to Robert, he learned that they were all the work of Ares. In that moment, Kevin's admiration for Kingsley grew even stronger.

Facing so many burly men, even Kevin himself could only handle two or three at most, and he might still end up with some bruises. To his surprise, Ares could deal with seven or eight wholly effortlessly.

Thinking his words had an effect, River hurriedly continued, "Yeah! This guy definitely has a violent

tendency. Colonel, you should arrest just

him for investigation. We are

ordinary civilians; don't let us waste

your time..."

As River spoke, he lifted the collapsed Quintus from the ground. At the same time, he kept signaling to the crew members behind him.

He believed this could divert the attention of this military officer, allowing them a chance to leave. However to River's surprise, Kevin not only showed no intention of arresting Kingsley but even expressed admiration, saying, "Your skills are truly admirable!

River and Quintus were stumped. What the hell is going on?!
