Chapter 9
Chapter 9 Something Is Wrong With the Room!
Meanwhile, Christine had already entered Sidney’s room. Inside, everything was overly neat, with items neatly arranged in pairs, one on the left and one on the right. Does he have OCD? She savored her candy while swiftly scanning the four corners of the room. The geomancy layout is quite well–done, except…
As her cold gaze fell on the huge window on the eastern wall, she furrowed her brows involuntarily. The window seemed out of place in the Pierce Residence’s overall geomancy layout and completely disrupted the originally harmonious arrangement.
Rather than attracting wealth and ensuring the well–being of the occupants, this window leaked the fortune of the Pierces and negatively impacted the occupants‘ health over time.
Christine was certain that Linda’s declining health was linked to the presence of this window. Sidney’s room was located diagonally opposite Linda’s, so the two rooms created a conflicting situation.
After identifying the cause, she headed straight to Linda’s room to explain her findings.
Surprised, Howard responded, “Mr. Pierce previously noticed that the original window was too small, impeding ventilation and obstructing the view. That’s why he decided to have a larger window installed.”
Linda’s brows knitted tightly, as she had not anticipated that Sidney’s minor adjustment to the window would result in such significant consequences. As expected from Christine, she noticed the issue as soon as she arrived.
“Christine, what should we do to restore the geomancy?”
“It’s not a difficult task. We simply need to reinstall the original window, and your health will gradually improve,” Christine explained. Calculating with her fingers, she continued, “It must be completely dismantled, with not a single brick remaining.”
Linda had complete faith in Christine and immediately instructed Howard, “Find the best and fastest renovation team to start the work immediately. We have to demolish and rebuild the entire eastern wall!”
Since it was a stroke of bad luck, she concluded that rebuilding the entire eastern wall to rid the negative energy was necessary.
In the afternoon, the renovation team was brought into the Pierce Residence in luxury vehicles, and the resonating sound of hammers filled the air throughout the afternoon.
Until evening, a cool Bugatti Veyron entered the Pierce Residence.
The sleek car door was opened, and Sidney emerged from the vehicle. As the corner of his dark gray- striped windbreaker lifted slightly, it radiated an aura of strength and nobility. Its dark color could not conceal his extraordinary temperament. With exhaustion all over his body, he strode forward with his long legs.
Ryan followed behind in a hurry.
Howard noticed the imposing man and was about to remind him, but before he could, the man swiftly

ascended the stairs like a gust of wind.
After a long day of being occupied, Sidney simply desired to lay in bed and get a good night’s sleep. He instinctively stopped as his somber gaze fell upon a small sign affixed to his room door that read, Under Renovation. Do Not Enter.
Puzzled, he removed the sign and opened the door.
The swirling dust filled the air as if it had been released from its confinement. Carried by the breeze from outside, the dust settled entirely on his meticulously tailored windbreaker.
His thick black hair, prominent nose bridge, and narrow eyes brimming with hidden surges were all covered in dust, causing him to cough incessantly, and the soil on his body fell off as he trembled.
Seeing the disarrayed room, Sidney clenched his fists, his temples throbbing in anger. What on earth is going on here?
Ryan rushed in and froze at the sight of the mess. “Mr. Pierce, why did you suddenly renovate the bedroom?”
Following behind, Howard wiped his sweat and quickly explained, “Mr. Pierce, I’ve been meaning to tell you. Miss Morgan mentioned that the window in your room isn’t original and affects the geomancy, leading to Old Mrs. Pierce’s persistent illness.”
“So, she instigated Grandma to demolish my bedroom?” A dangerous sneer formed on Sidney’s lips as he realized Christine was behind all this. He believed it had to be payback from her when he mocked her flat chest previously!
Taking the towel handed by Ryan, he casually wiped his face and strode off in anger to find the culprit and settle the score.
At that moment, Christine sat by the swan fountain in the Pierce Residence. She nodded with satisfaction as she observed the dissipation of bad luck around the house.
“Christine, you spread rumors about geomancy problems and orchestrated the demolition of my room. Are you trying to force me to live with you?” Sidney’s magnetic voice suddenly resounded, laced with danger.
Raising her head, she met the man’s eyes filled with disgust and blinked her clear almond–shaped eyes. “Mr. Pierce, if you keep being so self–centered, you’ll end up being laughable.”
He exuded an aura of regality, his deep black eyes piercing and his thin lips slightly parting with coldness. “You’d better not try to play any tricks.”
Christine smiled faintly, radiating a playful innocence that befitted her youthful nature. Undeterred, she met his gaze without flinching. “If it’s not a trick, how do you plan to thank me once Madam Pierce’s health improves?”
Sidney sneered, his smile ambiguous. “Are you trying to take advantage of the situation and ask for medical expenses?”
“Caring for her health is something that I, as a younger generation, should do. Of course, if you want to show gratitude by offering me an additional sum, I certainly won’t refuse.”

Narrowing his eyes, he found her smiling face too dazzling and sensed a growing sense of inexplicable irritation within him. “I don’t have the time to argue with a kid like you Consider this a one–time exception.” he spoke indifferently before leaving, feeling extremely tired.
Making, a face at him from behind, she knew that further explanations were unnecessary. Once Linda’s condition improved, he would realize she had no intention of seeking revenge.
