Chapter 91
Chapter 91
1/2
Since I began following Sabrina on Instagram, this was the first time I had seen her post a story about herself rather than a promotion for the flower shop.
It seemed that Nathan finding a good job and being willing to buy a house in Sobrough City had made her feel more assured, which was why she made it official on Instagram.
Gordon’s expression darkened slightly when he heard what I had said. He took my phone and glanced at it, his expression showing obvious disappointment.
I examined his face closely, and I could sense that even though there were no romantic sparks between him and Sabrina yet, he was naturally attracted to her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have reacted this way when he saw the picture.
“The guy looks pretty handsome,” I continued to needle him, but Gordon simply lowered his head and put a piece of beef in his mouth.
He chewed slowly and swallowed before saying impassively, “He’s just a young man.”
Was he comparing himself to Nathan?
I raised my eyebrows and grinned as I said, “Young men are good at making women happy. My young assistant always finds ways to bring me all kinds of delicious food every day. He’s thoughtful and romantic, unlike some men, who are so busy all the time that they can hardly ever be seen.”
Gordon immediately looked up, a wary look in his eye.
“Your assistant is male?“!
After I started working at Radglo Corporation, Gordon didn’t pay much attention to my work, so he didn’t know.
“Yeah. He’s a fresh graduate, too.”
I nodded.
I hadn’t expected something this trivial to make Gordon look so unhappy.
He said coldly, “Transfer him to another position.”
“Why?”
I felt bewildered.
“You’re a married woman. You must keep your boundaries. Your assistant must not be of the

opposite gender.”
His tone was cold and domineering as if this was not something to be discussed.
“That won’t do. He’s a pretty good assistant, and he’s smart. He helps out a lot at work.
Besides, I merely see him as a younger brother.”
I shook my head.
I did not want to transfer Ray at all.
I would now live by the principle of opposing whatever Gordon wanted me to do.
Gordon looked angrily at me.
“Are you going to ignore everything I say now?”
“You’re my temporary husband, not my dad. I’ve never interfered with you, so you don’t need to interfere in my affairs either, don’t you think?” I continued to argue with him.
However, he put his knife and fork down when I said “temporary husband“, and he glared
viciously at me.
“Taylor, what do you mean by a ‘temporary husband‘? Are you saying that you’re still thinking of divorcing me?”
What did he mean by that?
I had always had the intention of divorcing him, and I had even told him so very clearly.
However, judging from the look in his eyes, it seemed rather tactless of me to raise the subject of divorce when he had brought me to such a romantic place for dinner.
