The Reborn Wife Strikes Back ( Gordon Holmes’ )

Chapter 79

Chapter 79

Gordon removed his clothing so naturally, as though we had been living as husband and wife for a long

time.

My jaw dropped, and my face turned red.

The lights in the room were very bright, and I could distinctly see the chiseled lines on his body. His

bronze skin glistened slightly, and his arms and back muscles were clearly defined. He had the perfect shape, and the male hormones that he seemed to emanate accelerated my heartbeat.

I lowered my head unconsciously, not daring to look directly at him.

I said, “Hey, when did you become so bold?”

Gordon didn’t hesitate at all. He turned and walked toward me while topless, and my eyes were Immediately drawn to his abs.

There was a hint of amusement in his voice.

“Isn’t this normal behavior between husband and wife?”

I looked away quickly.

“It’s normal between other married couples, but… we are very abnormal.”

Gordon seemed to sense that I was trying to escape. He reached out and gripped my chin to make me

look him in the eyes.

“Your cheeks are burning. Why do you look so red?”

Was he intentionally asking me this?

I might be 26 years old, but I was still a virgin.

How could I not blush when he was showing off his body to me like that?

I desperately tried to look away, but he deliberately refused to let go of me. I glared at him.

“Gordon, I have reason to suspect that you’re trying to seduce me.”

He burst into laughter.

I thought he was going to keep teasing me and was contemplating my next steps, but he released me and turned to walk into the bathroom.

“Don’t worry. I don’t have any thoughts of that.”

I heard his voice drift away as the water turned on inside the bathroom.

won

“I should hope so,” I answered loudly on purpose..

Then I turned, opened the door, and headed to the guest bedroom. I had to keep as much distance between us as possible.

Chapter 79

I was about to shower when I suddenly remembered that the clothes and toiletries that I had brought from my parents‘ home were still in his car

I took his keys and went down to the garage, which was very dark. I opened the door of the Cullinan and was about to take my bag and leave when I spotted something shiny in the cracks of the back seat. It caught my attention, so I picked it up. It was a crystal hairpin.

The hairpin didn’t look expensive, and it wasn’t made of genuine crystals, but the design was unique. It was in the shape of a swan, and it was clearly something that a younger woman would like.

I thought about the Swarovski swan necklace that Sabrina was always wearing, and I immediately realized that she must have left this in the car by accident.

It seemed that Sabrina had already been in Gordon’s car.

Had Gordon gone to get her himself when she was discharged from the hospital?

My heart sank at the thought.

Had Gordon already developed feelings for Sabrina?

He must have. Otherwise, why would he have cut things off with Nora so quickly?

The appearance of the hairpin made me even more glad that I had not been fooled by what Gordon had said that night.

Even if Gordon had changed his attitude toward me, so what?

His ultimate love was still Sabrina.

I was simply a bump in the road that would disappear sooner or later.

However, although I had accepted the truth, I was not going to let Sabrina win so easily.
