“Can you believe Chris and Leonard know each other? It’s unbelievable,” Lisa frowned. “The Parker family has always looked down on me. They won’t let me off so easily if they discover my real identity.”

Leslie suggested, “If there’s no other choice, why not make Leonard fall in love with you? He’s quite handsome.”

Lisa was terrified by the idea and replied, “Forget it. I don’t have that kind of charm. Besides, Leonard already has someone he loves. Didn’t you see how affectionate he was with Stephanie?”

Leslie countered, “If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be into Stephanie. She’s cu nning, targets you indirectly, and creates problems for you. Plus, Stephanie shows no restraint even when you’re around, even though you’re Leonard’s wife.

“It’s like she’s acting as a mistress. Honestly, if all wealthy women were like her, I’d have no respect for them.”

Lisa paused before replying, “It’s a pity you’re not a man. Men seem to have different standards when it comes to women. The more manipulative a woman is, the more they seem to like her.”

“That’s why I suggested making Leonard fall in love with you. You always say men are scu mbags and don’t want to find a boyfriend. Since they’re all the same, it’s better to go for a rich and handsome scu mbag than a regular one, right?”

Lisa considered her stepsister’s words but ultimately shook her head. “No, it’s too difficult to win over Leonard. Besides, I don’t like pursuing someone who’s already taken. Since you’re free this afternoon, why don’t you come with me to check out some cars?”

Leslie drove to the nearby car dealership. Together, the stepsisters looked at the available options. Lisa had a budget of 14,000 dollars for her purchase.

Initially, she thought electric cars were stylish with beautiful interiors. However, installing a charging station at the Parker family’s villa would be inconvenient, so she chose a Nissan Camry instead.

The Camry had a nice exterior and was known for its gas efficiency and durability. After completing the payment, Lisa planned to drive the new car home to show Isabella.

When they arrived, they found Isabella vigorously mopping the floor like a maid. Meanwhile, Leslie’s grandmother sat on the sofa, criticizing her efforts. “Why are you mopping like that? It’s not clean enough! Put in more effort! You move like a sloth!” Norma Jones continued, “I wonder why my son married such a useless person. You don’t know how to do anything but eat. My son is unlucky enough to have to support your sorry *ss. You should’ve had kids by now at your age. I don’t even have a grandchild because of you!”

Lisa’s eyes revealed a murderous intent as she kicked the door with a resounding boom. It caused Norma to jump to her feet in fright.

“Lisa, it’s you! You little brat! Have you gone insane?”

“I dare you to insult me again.” Lisa pointed at Norma. “Since I’m not your granddaughter, I wouldn’t be disobedient by hitting you.”

Norma turned red with anger. “I’ll make my son divorce your mother if you hit me. Then both of you will have nowhere else to go!”

“All right, I’ll go to the Parker family and cause a scene. I’ll tell them Sebastian forced me to marry on Leslie’s behalf and then took all the dowry!”

Norma panicked. “Cut the cr ap, Lisa. Such actions will only bring you trouble.”
