Chapter 76
All her subordinates, Jacob’s guards, and Dylan were all standing aside, watching the scene before them.
If she displayed any sign of weakness or softness, it would not only embarrass herself but also reflect poorly on Jacob.
Not to mention she didn’t want to spare those jerks with stinky mouths. Now that they realized that something was wrong. they wanted to chicken out.
“There wouldn’t be an easy way out for them.” Aurelia thought.

Chapter 77
“In that case, should I express my gratitude to Mr. Yeager and the others on behalf of Charles for their generosity? However, please forgive me, as I am not familiar with you. Mr. Macard, would you mind introducing them to me? It is important for me to know the people I am about to raise my glass with. I wouldn’t want to mistakenly drink with someone I am unfamiliar with. would I?*
“Aurelia, what do you mean? Don’t be shameless!” Brandon slammed the table and suddenly stood up again.
He had thought Aurelia would take his offer to avoid embarrassment and came over to toast them.
After all, it would not be favorable if they had a public disagreement. As a person of noble standing, he had already shown. condescension by offering her an opportunity after considering Jacob’s reputation.
He did not anticipate Aurelia to be so audacious and directly refuse his olive branch. He thought, “How dare she insinuate that we are individuals of unknown status who don’t deserve her toast?”
“If you want someone to respect you, you have to look at yourself to see whether you deserve it or not.”
Aurelia’s face darkened immediately.
She seemed unfazed by Brandon’s flustered and exasperated expression.
Since Dylan had the audacity to bring her up to the 19th floor without any objections or warnings, it meant that Jacob had given his approval. The boundaries for causing a major disturbance seemed to be quite lax.
Although this silly youth with long hair also had the surname, Yeager, in her eyes, he was in no way comparable to Hayden.
Their manner of speaking, tone, and approach to dealing with others were worlds apart.
Aurelia suddenly felt sorry for the Yeager family for having a member like him.
“What are you talking about? Say it again?”
Brandon stared at Aurelia’s face angrily as if he was about to tear her apart the next second.
He had not met any woman who spoke to him so arrogantly over the years.
He thought, “Damn this bitch. If I don’t teach her a lesson today, I will lose all credibility in Druobridge in the future.”
He shot Declan a look, and the latter immediately took out his phone, dialing someone.
Dylan was observant and quick–witted. When he saw Declan’s movements, he knew the man would ask someone to come up.
He thought, “Hmph! You’re standing on Regency’s territory. If I were to allow outsiders to come in and bully Mr. Miller’s friends here, I wouldn’t be qualified to be the spokesperson of Regency, would I?”
Immediately, he reached into his pocket and pressed two shortcut keys, dialing a number connecting him to the security office for emergency situations.
As soon as he dialed out, the important red phone in the security room would ring, alerting the security personnel. With the heightened security measures in place, it would be challenging for anyone outside to come in or for anyone inside to leave easily.
They would not allow anyone to leave without undergoing a thorough examination and interrogation. The security personnel would be diligent in their duties unless they wanted to lose their jobs.
Therefore, it did not matter whether Declan’s phone call was intended to summon Brandon’s bodyguards or request assistance from someone else. In Regency, other groups.
had no say.
Aurelia smiled coldly. “As I’ve said before, you are in Xandenia, not Druobridge! I don’t care who you are, but there’s a saying you should be familiar with–you bring humiliation upon yourself. Furthermore, let’s not forget how this dispute began. I won’t make things difficult for you. Arrange for that person, surname Foster, to come over and respectfully apologize to Charles for his mistake. I will let go of the matter of how you mistreated Charles. But remember, it’s best to maintain a low profile in the future. Not everyone will tolerate your arrogance wherever you go.”
As soon as Aurelia finished speaking, Brandon and the others looked at Aurelia as if they had heard something impossible. They thought, “Is this woman crazy? Listen to what she said. Could she be any more arrogant? Who does she think she is?”
“Haha, it’s so funny. This is probably the best joke I have ever heard since I was a child. Woman, are you crazy? Who do you think you are? Is the defense minister your relative? How can you talk so big?”
Instead of getting angry, Hector and others laughed out loud, looking at Aurelia as though she was an idiot.
Charles also felt that Aurelia’s tone sounded a little too arrogant. Only Dylan stayed quiet. He secretly sighed in his heart as he thought. “This is the issue of limited perspective and shallow thinking. Some people perceive confidence as mere boasting. But those who truly understand the game recognize it as genuine self–assurance!”
The phone vibrated in his pocket. Dylan took it out immediately. Before he could show a surprised look, there were steady footsteps and a sharp snort at the door of Spring Suite.

“Indeed, Aurelia may not have the backing of the defense minister’s family, but that doesn’t mean she requires the defense minister’s family to handle the likes of you. It seems that some people overestimate their importance in their eyes”
“Who is it?” Hector yelled angrily.
“Mel” Jacob soon appeared in front of everyone.
As soon as Dylan saw that Jacob had appeared here in the shortest time, he was completely relieved.
Charles also glanced at Jacob and the several young people behind him in confusion. At first glance, he could tell they were all from extraordinary backgrounds.
He started to ponder on the identities of these individuals and the reason behind the sudden change in Brandon’s and the others‘ expressions as soon as they appeared. He noticed how their previously domineering aura seemed to fade away in the presence of these newcomers.
“So, it’s Mr. Miller!”
Brandon’s expression suddenly became gloomy and depressed.
He did not expect to meet Jacob in such a situation. “Is this woman really Jacob’s friend?” he wondered.
Initially, he had dismissed Dylan’s words as mere exaggeration to elevate Aurelia’s status.
However, seeing Jacob’s arrival shortly after Aurelia’s made him reconsider his assumptions. It was clear to them that Jacob was here to back Aurelia up.
“Brandon, I’ve never done something that offended you, have 1? What are you doing today? Did you come to Regency to stir up trouble?”
Jacob’s expression was extremely cold. He casually pulled a chair over and sat down without looking at anyone present.
He reached out into his pocket as though looking for a cigarette.
Dylan, being a clever man, immediately trotted over, took out a cigarette, and put it between Jacob’s fingers. After that, he quickly took out a lighter to light the cigarette.
The sequence of actions was executed with skill, elegance, and natural fluidity.
It was clear that he was trying to please Jacob, but his actions came across as respectful rather than bootlicking, creating the impression that he knew how to pick his moments and would not mock anyone.
Moreover, Jacob’s innate majesty was natural and casual.
The act of pulling the chair over, sitting, crossing his legs, and smoking might have initially appeared impolite.
However, Jacob’s confidence and commanding presence completely transformed this seemingly rough sequence of actions into a display of graceful self–assurance.
What defined a true scion?
True scions simply walked in without the need to announce their identities. Others could feel a profound and impressive aura with just a single glance and action. This was what distinguished a competent scion.
Brandon and his friends were far from it.
Jacob’s words shocked them on the spot.
“Well, of course not, Jacob. It’s actually a misunderstanding!”
Brandon’s expression turned sour. He stammered for a while before closing his mouth.
Jacob smiled faintly and did not press further into what kind of misunderstanding it was. Instead, he abruptly asked, “Is your cousin aware that you are in Nuthana?”
It was undoubtedly a major blow for Brandon. The composed expression on his face completely vanished.
“What did Jacob mean by that? Is he going to tell Hayden about my trip to Nuthana?” he thought.
Brandon instantly panicked. Although he was a collateral descendant of the Yeager family, there were still some resources for him to use and rely on.
If Jacob were to approach Hayden and speak ill of him, it would be effortless for Hayden, the successor of the Yeager family, to strip Brandon of Hayden’s position as a collateral descendant of the family.
He was previously wavering on whether to give in, but now he quickly regained his composure and explained, “Jacob, it’s truly a misunderstanding. The situation arose because we are desperate for talented individuals. I had hoped that Mr. Shawn could join our company and assist us. However, I wasn’t aware that Mr. Shawn had a new employer. That’s why we had a minor disagreement. We are in the process of resolving it right now!”
“Resolving it? What solution do you have in mind?” Jacob nodded slightly, giving the impression that he had been attentively listening to Brandon’s explanation and was genuinely interested in learning the resolution to the situation.

Brandon was very frustrated, but he could not do anything. After all, Jacob had come coincidentally at the time when they were making their arrogant remarks, and Jacob overheard their boastful words.
