Chapter 75
Chapter 75
When Charles heard that, he looked at Aurelia again, who wore a calmn expression. He realized that he couldn’t discern the true thoughts of his young new boss.
But one thing he could still observe was that the two men standing behind Aurelia maintained a composed and serious demeanor.
It was clear that they were not intimidated by the impending situation, which caught Charles by surprise. He had not anticipated this outcome.
He didn’t hesitate and stepped sideways slightly, “Ms. Swanson, please!”
Although Spring Suite was called a suite, it was actually a luxurious large private room.
But this private room occupied almost one–eighth of the whole 19th floor. In other words, there were eight high–end large private rooms on the nineteenth floor like Spring Suite.
But the locations of the other seven suites were slightly less desirable compared to that of the Spring Suite.
The reason was that the floor–to–ceiling window of the Spring Suite opened up to the beautiful scenery of Xandenia Lake, while other suites had no such advantage.
In the past, Spring Suite was always fully booked, as everyone at the same level wanted to secure the best suite for
themselves.
However, since these scions came from Druobridge to Xandenia, this hall on the 19th floor had almost become their exclusive use
Regency simply considered those suites as a package for the chief executive level and didn’t take it too seriously when the suites were hogged by them.
Although the staff members provided enthusiastic and considerate service, Dylan was the only person in charge of Regency who had personally greeted them before.
The other scions in Nuthana hadn’t shown up yet!
Since Aurelia and her group hadn’t met Jacob yet upon their arrival, it would have seemed presumptuous and snobbish for them, as Jacob’s followers, to go and greet Aurelia first.
So many people were waiting for Jacob’s instructions in the dark.
Jacob did have an instruction today, but it didn’t seem to be a happy one!
Declan stood at the door of Spring Suite, initially hesitant about greeting them there. He felt that such a gesture might diminish his own success and status. After all, he had achieved a lot in his own right.
But then, everyone sitting there had a much more influential status than him.
“For sure I can’t let Mr. Yeager greet them here?” he thought.
Besides, he was also eager to see for himself the private female CEO who had convinced Charles to leave his position at Elite Securities and work for her.
At first glance, Declan saw Aurelia, who was walking in front of the group.
He was instantly captivated by her beauty and the invisible noble temperament exuded by Aurelia.
She looked straight and her gaze inadvertently fell on Declan. The latter felt his heart beating faster.
But in the next moment, Aurelia’s gaze passed him as if she hadn’t noticed him at all. This irritated him further, as he couldn’t shake off the feeling that Aurelia had intentionally ignored him.
But when he saw the man walking behind Aurelia, Declan’s embarrassment and annoyance turned into shock.
He
recognized that man. “Isn’t he Mr. Macard, the person in charge of Regency Club, who sent Mr. Yeager a crystal platinum card the other day? Why is he here and walking behind this woman?” he thought.
The formation of the group seemed to signify something. After all, Declan had accumulated over forty years of life experience. So, he couldn’t help but wonder.
His gaze once again shifted to Aurelia’s face as she walked slowly towards him. While he had been captivated by her appearance earlier, he now felt a sense of unease inexplicably creeping over him.
He vaguely understood that he had provoked the wrong person this time. Aurelia was not a simple woman.
“Charles, this must be Ms. Swanson whom you’ve always talked about! Hello, Ms. Swanson! I’m Declan Foster, Charles‘ classmate. It’s a great honor to meet you!”
Declan seemed to be very happy and enthusiastic, as he came forward with a bright smile. He offered a perfunctory greeting and extended his hand for a handshake.

Unfortunately, right at that moment, Aurelia raised her hand to tuck her long hair behind her ear, inadvertently avoiding
the handshake.
So she completely missed Declan’s hand that was still in the air.
This seemingly accidental act brought great embarrassment to Declan.
Charles stood next to Declan and caught the embarrassed expression on Declan’s face.
Although he didn’t crow over Declan’s dilemma, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction, considering the grievances he had experienced a few moments ago.
In the past two or three hours before Aurelia came, he was really fed up with these people, especially Declan.
“Mr. Foster, nice to meet you.”
Aurelia didn’t shake hands with Declan, but she still greeted him. She wouldn’t let Declan lose face completely. Declan’s expression finally warmed up a little.
He withdrew his hand in embarrassment and hurriedly said to Dylan of Regency, “Mr. Macard, why are you here?”
“Mr. Foster, you certainly have a sense of humor. This is Regency’s territory, and as the person in charge of Regency, it’s only natural for me to be present on any floor,” Mr. Macard replied with a fake smile.
Although Mr. Macard’s words seemed to be teasing Declan for his joke, there was a clear undertone of rebuff in his tone. It was evident that he intended to subtly put Declan in his place once again.
Declan’s face darkened again.
Seeing this, Dylan couldn’t help but develop a sense of disdain toward Declan. He couldn’t fathom how someone as shallow as Declan could believe he could succeed in the field. To Dylan. Declan was nothing more than a joke.
“Ms. Swanson. Mr. Macard, please come in!”
Now, Declan knew that he was obviously here to get back to him. He didn’t have time to go in circles with them anymore and directly brought them in so that Brandon and the others could deal with them.
He was just a nobody. Defeating him was nothing to celebrate. Their true measure of success would be defeating Brandon and the others.
So what? Even if this woman could have Mr. Macard personally guide her, it didn’t mean that she had a better background than Mr. Yeager and his family. After all, the head of the Yeager family had fought side by side with the founding president in the past.
Naturally, Aurelia showed no fear at all. She confidently walked in. In her previous life, she had witnessed numerous instances of scions acting condescendingly and bullying others with their power in the bureaucratic world.
At that time, she was the only one who could be trampled on.
Things were different now. After getting a strong patron, she could turn the tables in this game. She decided to take this chance to exert her influence and make a statement.
Spring Suite was expansive, with the hall divided into several sections based on their respective functions. In the center, there was a reception area featuring a comfortable couch, a table, and a coffee table.
On the left side of the hall, there was a table set up for International Standard Snooker. On the opposite side, there was a large back projection screen. Beneath it was a set of DVD–on–demand machines and microphones. It was evident that this area was dedicated to singing and entertainment.
Then there was an automatic poker table, a little dance floor, and so on.
In short, this luxurious private room had everything one could ask for. It provided a complete experience for the guests. including dining, drinks, and entertainment options. Anyway, Regency had a prestigious background and didn’t lack money.
At that moment, Brandon and the others were sitting in an Epean–style coffee lounge next to the floor–to–ceiling window, talking and laughing.
It seemed like they hadn’t noticed Aurelia and Dylan who had just been invited in by Declan and Charles.
Their arrogant and rude demeanor was not merely a result of protecting their prominent status as scions, but rather at display of complete snobbish arrogance that considered everyone else beneath them.
Despite being mentally prepared. Aurelia couldn’t help but feel anger welling up inside her at that moment.
No wonder people like Charles couldn’t help but seek help over the phone. Sitting in such an atmosphere and scene for several hours would be unbearable for anyone, causing them internal distress and discomfort.
“Charles, where are your other classmates and friends? Why aren’t they here? Have they all left? Or they are in the restroom?” Aurelia looked around Spring Suite before she made a shocked expression and asked sideways.
Charles was unable to react immediately. However, Declan and Brandon, who were sitting by the floor–to–ceiling window

with the others, had their faces darkened in an instant.
Dylan, who was a half–step behind Aurelia, almost laughed out.
He thought, “Didn’t you pretend not to see us coming in? You lot didn’t even move your butt from the couches. Well, Aurelia also conveniently pretended not to see anyone in this room. She even innocently asked if everyone had gone to the bathroom. This is incredible! When dealing with arrogant individuals, one must adopt an even more indifferent attitude than theirs!”
He couldn’t help but admire Aurelia standing before him.
By contrast, her subordinate was much less dexterous.
Charles finally caught up with the situation and felt a pang of shame within himself. Despite being a man that was over forty years old, his resilience and composure paled in comparison to Aurelia, a young woman.
Aurelia was obviously revenging for him, so he hurriedly stepped forward and said in a low voice, “Ms. Swanson, there is only one classmate who invited me here today. He is Declan. The others are his superiors, all young talents from Druobridge. They are the ones sitting over there!”
Dylan wanted to laugh again. It seemed that Charles had a humorous side to him. He looked blunt when he hadn’t caught up with the situation yet.
After he came to his senses, his words sounded amusing.
He even used the words “young talents.” In such a strange scene, even if it was true, it might become a great irony to the listeners.
