They stayed silent and exchanged a look that I can’t identify.

“Start talking, you idiots. NOW.” I growled the last word as I grow more impatient by every minute passing.

Finally, Flame enlightened me. “When you were patrolling with Sparky, you heard two darks talking about an invasion against our academy and you announced the principal and everyone else. After you slept for 8 straight hours, you had patrol hours again, but this time with Black. Then you heard and saw the darks coming and you announced us once again. Then, we all got ready and the fight was very rough. Somewhere almost at the end of the battle, when you were fighting with 2 darks, a third one shoot you and you blacked out.....For 2 weeks.”

My eyes widen when I heard 2 weeks. “I was out for 2 weeks? What happened with the others? We wined? And why I was out for 2 weeks? And why my torso looks like a mummy’s one? And why my heart hurts when I get angry?”

“Easy there tiger. Too many questions. Of course that we are the winners. We always are. And the last 3 questions have the same answer. The bullet got right past your heart, but it scratched your heart so you have to be more careful until it heals completely.” River answered this time when he saw my panicked face.

I don’t know why, but I feel like something is missing. I feel like they are hiding something. No, they would never do that.

“Okay. So no more getting angry or scaring kids or practicing. I got it. Now, when can I leave this place? I don’t like hospitals.”

“We’ll see, after I examine you Miss Moonlight.” the doctor said as he walked in.

I sighed and seat on my butt. “Fine. Let’s finish this already.”

After 15 agonizing minutes when he almost burned my eyeballs with a lantern and cleaned my wound again, he said that I can leave. Of course, after he lectured me about everything I can’t do and what pills I have to take.

I wanted to bang my head with his clipboard so much because he keeps talking and talking and fucking talking.

“OKAY! I GOT IT! JUST SHUT UP!” I yelled angrily and a pang hit my heart.

Doc looked scared and he nodded his head, throwing the file I need to sign so I can leave and run out of the room.

I quickly scrambled a what was supposed to be my signature and I head to the front desk.

“Hello. I signed this paper and the doctor told me that I have to give it to you.” I said to the lady that was typing furiously at her computer.

“For what is this paper?” she asked without even looking at me.

I tried hold back a sarcastic remark. “For setting me free from this place because I can’t support seeing your annoying face any longer.” my smile is so fake that Barbie is jealous.

How I said, I tried to.

She looked up at me shocked and took the paper from my hand. “You can leave now.”

“Goodbye to you too.” I rolled my eyes and walked out of the hospital.

I stopped when I realized that I don’t know where to go. Fuck you idiots and your school! You could’ve skipped and wait for me but nooo we have to go. Losers.

“SHADOW!!!”

My head snapped in the direction of the sound, to see Black running to me.

“Hi loser. I thought that you have school.”

He stopped in front of me and scoffed. “Yes, I have but I can’t let my dear friend alone, especially after she just went out of the hospital.” he said in a too dramatic way. He even pretend to start crying.

I rolled my eyes at him. “Cut it Black. We aren’t at Hollywood. Now, lead the way.” I motioned for him to go first.

“Killjoy.” I heard him mutter and of course, me being me, I smacked the back of his head.

“And you are the biggest idiot I have ever seen, but you don’t hear me complaining.”

“You are lucky that you’re injured or I would’ve made you pay for that.”

I raised my head and shook my head. “Uuuu, I’m so scared.”

The next thing I know is that I’m pinned into a tree. I hissed in pain when another pang hit my heart.

“You should because a big bad guy like me can do a lots of bad things to a little good girl like you.” he said with a mischievous glint in his eyes and his face was so close to mine that I could count all the freckles from his face. And damn, those eyes and we can’t forget about those big and full lips-SNAP OUT OF IT YOU IDIOT!!.

I blinked 2 times and started to laugh. “You are so funny Blacky-boy. You a bad guy? Me a good girl? I must say this one was a very good joke. You are lucky that I’m injured and I can’t use my powers or you would’ve been a fried Black eye.”

He was getting angry but it’s his fault. He started it.

“Think whatever you want Light head. We will live and we will see.” was all he said and let me go.

He started to walk ahead in a fast pace. Is he bipolar or something?

“Wait for me!! I have short legs!!” I said and tried to run after him, but my heart wouldn’t let me.

“Then move them faster. I’m not going to slow down.”

What the fuck is wrong with him? I stopped and looked around me. I was in the academy’s backyard and I don’t need him from now on. I already know the way to the dorms. As I was walking like the diva I am, someone observed my absence.

“Where are you going?”

“Where my short legs are me.” I replayed with an attitude.

He grabbed my hand and started to drag me. “Cut that attitude. The principal wants to see the whole team.”

I pulled my hand out of his grip and slapped him. “And you can stop being an idiot but that’s impossible because it’s in your blood. I can walk without you dragging me around, thank you very much.” I flipped my hair in his face and continued walking.

When I knocked at the principal’s door, I could hear that the rest of the guys were already here.

“Come in.”

I opened the door and seat on my usual spot and as I thought, the idiots were already here. Black walked in 2 minutes after me, with a pissed off face.

Raven clapped his hands together. “Good, now that you all are here, first I wanted to congratulate you for your remarkable help in this battle. I don’t know if this academy would still be here if it weren’t you guys!”

Now, it’s the part when he kiss your asses.

“The next thing is that we only had 3 dead kids. It’s sad t hear that but it’s better then 5 or more students. Now, the real reason as why I called you here.” he stopped for a dramatic effect.

I swear that he isn’t sane. In any way. He is completely lost.

“You are now officially, a team. Team Alpha to be more exact. In order to get your title, you had to participate at a real fight. And you did so, I have to give you your badges.” he said and gave to each of us a badge as big as my fist.

“What’s this for?” Sparky asked examining it.

“This helps to differentiate the teams. Each team has another badge and this aren’t normal ones. If you put them on your skin, the will transform in a tattoo and that’s what you will do now, because this is how we do here.”

“This is how we do. Do do do do do do, this is how we do!” me and Sparky sang along but we stopped when the boys glared at us.

I looked down at my badge. It was stormy gray and has a lion with a crown on his head on it. It was really beautiful.

“So, we just put it on our skin and BAM new tattoo?” I asked as I traced the lines of the lion. The lion was black and the crown from his head was a pure gold.

“Yup. Now do it!! You can put it anywhere.”

Hmmm. Where should I put it? I always wanted a tattoo on my arm. I put the badge on my arm and it started to glow but it stopped immediately. The grey thing was still in my hand so I just took it away.

I gasped when I saw the tattoo.

The lion was now stormy grey, like the badge, and the crown was still gold but the details were contoured with a darker shade of gold. It was amazing and I completely love it.

I looked at the other guys. Sparky placed it on her collarbone and the lion is bloody red, Ash placed it on his left side of the neck and the lion is yellow, Flame placed it on his right pectoral (I’m not shocked) and his lion is a darker shade of red then Spark’s shade, River placed it on his right shoulder and his lion is an incredible shade of aqua blue, Lincoln placed it on his forearm on the inside part and his lion is a pure white, Sky placed it on his left ribs and the lion is exactly the yellow shade of the stars, Hazel placed it on his arm like me and his lion is green like the shade the grass has after it rains, Sirius placed it on his back and his lion is a greish-pink color, and Black placed it right above his left hip and his lion was a very dark shade of red almost black.

“Wow. We look so badass. So now I’m sexy, smart and bad ass. Me and my girl S. We go girl!” he said in a high pitched voice and I chuckled at him.

Raven nodded his head. “Yes, they really look good on you. Now, I have a last announce. I changed the leader of the team.”

He what? He did what?

I looked at River to see his reaction but he had a poker face on.

“I already talked with your last leader and he agreed with my decision and he proposed someone to take his place.”

All of us were staring at River like he was some kind of alien.

“I proposed that person because he/she helped us a lot in this crisis situation and demonstrate that he/she has all the qualities a leader needs: perseverance, power, it’s a good strategy guy, knows how to handle critical situations, takes all the responsibilities for its actions and wants to protect this world with its life.” River said and looked at each of us.

I think he chose Black or Ash, damn maybe even Flame. I’m so curious now.

“Come on River! Say it! You are killing us here!” Flame whines.

River smiled and shook his head. “I chose Shadow as the new leader.”

Say whaat.

“What. And yes, you said it out loud.” Flame said from next to me.

I was too shocked to think properly.

“Is this a joke?” I asked and looked at River.

“Nope. You are the new leader. Congratulations!” he said with a smile.

“Now, Shadow you have to chose a second in command, a battle planner and your spies.” Raven said and waited for me to answer.

“Okay, but not know. I need to have me head clear when I chose and now, I’m still in shock so...”

That’s not the only reason I don’t chose now. I already know who does what. I just don’t trust Raven and I don’t want him to hear all the details about our team.

He nodded his head. “As you wish. That’s all I had to tell you. Now, go away. I have things to do.”

Yeah, like playing Candy Crush on his phone or watching porn on his computer.

I bite my tongue to stop a very sarcastic remark.

“Goodbye Mr. Amazon. I hope you have a grate day.” River said sweetly with a fake smile.

Yes I hope you will slide down the stairs and broke your neck. That would be a grate day......For me at last.

I rolled my eyes and walked out if the office.

“AAAAAH!!!I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!” Sparky yelled in my ear and tackled me on the floor.

I hissed in pain and pushed her off. “Damn you people! I have a fucking hole in my chest right next to my heart so stop fucking tackle, hug or push me into things! And thank you and I’m happy too.”

I think this idiots like to see me in pain, but I don’t enjoy it.

Her eyes widen. “I’m so so sorry! I didn’t meant to!” she said and looked at me with those big teddy eyes.

I chuckled when I saw how worried she is and how sorry she is.

“It’s fine. I know that you didn’t meant to. You were just very happy that your best friend/sister is now a bad ass leader.” I said with a smirk and I winked at her.

She shook her head but smiled. “The same cocky idiot. At least that black out didn’t affected you.”

I glared at her as we walk to the dorms. “Fuck you.”

“Sorry. I’m straight, but if I will change sides I have your number babe.” she said with a wink and I was speechless.

“No you didn’t!” I said and started to run after her. “Just wait until I get my claws on you!!!”

“NOT GONNA HAPPEN BITCH!”

I really love this bitch even if she gives me the best come backs I’ve ever seen.
