The Divorcee Who Shines

Chapter 154 Love At First Sight

Chapter 154 Love at First Sight

Buzz!

Ranita blushed furiously.

Images from Moon Mountain flashed through her mind, making her heart race for no apparent reason. Just then, Brendon pressed down on the small of her back with a firm grip.

His kisses were gentle yet lingering.

"My clothes are wet. I'm going to change," Ranita said before things got too out of hand. She pushed Brendon away and ran into the bathroom. Her head was spinning.

After taking a hot shower, Ranita looked at the empty clothes rack and felt embarrassed! She had forgotten to bring in any clothes! "Brendon..." she called out quietly while peeking around cautiously but there was no one there to answer back. "Brendon?" After waiting for some time without an answer from him, she wrapped herself up in a towel and walked out towards the balcony where Brendon was talking on the phone.

She tiptoed over to her luggage bag hoping not to be noticed by him while searching for something else to wear...

"What are you doing?" Suddenly feeling someone behind her made Ranita jump, which caused her hand holding onto her new outfit shake so much that it fell onto the floor.

Brendon's gaze roamed over every inch of her from head-to-toe; her skin glistening with water droplets along with fragrant scent of orchids emanating off her body.

“You're hopeless!" He bent down picked up her dress before handing it over to her saying, "Go put your clothes on."

Ranita pouted slightly while holding onto her cheeks feeling embarrassed by what just happened earlier.

"You were being sneaky yourself so don't blame me." His voice wasn't loud but she could tell that he was teasing her slightly by looking at her eyes filled with laughter.

“I wasn't..." Ranita didn't open her eyes, her ears turning even redder than before as she quickly ran to the bathroom.

After getting dressed, Ranita mentally prepared herself and opened the door. Through the crack in the door frame, Brendon's clear and piercing eyes peeked in, like a shooting star across the sky, leaving a dazzling brilliance. Six years ago, she had fallen in love with Brendon at first sight, and since then, there was no room in her heart for anyone else. He wasn't from Kurima Foreign Studies University, and he would occasionally visit his friends. The second time she saw him, he was walking on campus with his friends. She watched him from above, following him all the way as she stood on the second-floor corridor, secretly stealing glances at him through the dense green leaves of ivy. He wore a round-necked shirt, and it was a clear night.

"What's wrong?" Brendon noticed her staring off into space and pressed down on her head with his hand, eyebrows raised. "What are you thinking about?"

Ranita had seen him affectionately rubbing Shannon's head before, which made her feel uncomfortable.

"Nothing..." Ranita pushed away Brendon's hand and smiled. "Do you need to use the bathroom?"

"Yeah... I'l take a shower too."

Brendon closed the door behind him, and Ranita suddenly realized that his luggage wasn't here - why did he need to shower now? Was he going to be naked?

Ranita felt a bit uneasy.

She looked at some information while glancing around. Her heart raced when she heard the door creak open.

"Ranita... can you get me a bathrobe?" His voice sounded cold.

As expected, Ranita's ears turned red again as she handed over the bathrobe to the man without looking at him directly - even though it was frosted glass that blurred his figure in front of her eyesight - making her unable to resist feeling emotional inside herself.

Taking a deep breath, Ranita threw the bathrobe into his hands then turned around wanting to run away. However, Brendon grabbed onto one of her fingers with wet fingers hanging onto hers tightly saying, "Wait."

"What are you doing?" Ranita's heart beat even faster as if being wrapped by magma; she wanted to pull back but couldn't do so helplessly under such circumstances.
