Chapter 31 

Christy was desperate and terrified and could not wait any longer. 

When the officers were not paying attention, Christy went over the yellow cordon tape and rushed in. However, Christy was stopped by the officers after a few steps. 

*Madam! Didn’t we tell you that you can’t go in yet? If you don’t follow the order, we have the right to arrest you!” The police officer warned angrily. 

The police officers escorted Christy out of the gate. 

At that moment, a black luxury car escorted by a motorcade swiftly arrived in front of the kindergarten. 

Joshua’s towering figure got out of the car, and his handsome appearance instantly attracted everyone’s attention. 

Joshua’s men quickly dealt and negotiated with the police. 

“Good afternoon. Mr. Melendez!” The leading police officers hurriedly nodded and greeted Joshua, ordering his men to clear a path for Joshua and his group to enter. 

Joshua was a famous figure in both illegal and legal means. Thus, these police officers dared not offend him since they only worked according to the above orders. 

At a glance, Joshua immediately saw the small and distressed Christy being escorted by the police officers. 

How could Christy fail to see Joshua with such a grand lineup? 

At least Christy was not blind! 

“Joshua Melendez, what are you doing here?” Christy yelled as she glared at Joshua in anger. 

“Madam! How can you yell at Mr. Melendez? Mr. Melendez is here to assist the police in solving the case! Apologize to him now!” The police officer escorting Christy reprimanded her. 

This young police officer wanted to do well in front of Joshua and fought for a promotion, so Christy’s outburst was just in time for him to show off. 

Looking at Christy’s angry face, the corners of Joshua’s lips curved upward into an intriguingly teasing expression, and instead coldly addressing the police officer while ignoring Christy and said, 

“She is my woman. Let go of her.” 

The police officer was dumbfounded upon hearing Joshua’s words! 

“Madam, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were… The police officer immediately let go of Christy and apologized in panic. 

“Since when did I become his woman? How dare Joshua be so shameless and address me like this?” Christy thought and was flushed with anger. 

“Christy, I’ve helped you out once again. Would it kill you just to thank me?” Joshua sneered. 

“Shut up!” Christy snapped in frustration and annoyance. 

Christy felt so embarrassed to meet anyone in the future, let alone thank Joshua. 

Christy’s haughty attitude annoyed Joshua a little. 

“Damn. How dare she snap at me in public without showing me any respect? 

I still hadn’t settled the score with her for carrying secret babies, and she did not appreciate my help for rushing over to help her and even dared to snap at me.‘ Joshua thought furiously. 

Joshua loathed Christy for being unreasonable, yet when he saw that Christy was about cry, Joshua somehow became reluctant. 

“If you want to see your daughter, follow me,” Joshua said coldly and walked away in big strides toward the kindergarten.

The police officer who reprimanded Christy was now full of regret!

Christy assumed that Clara must have been crying at this moment.

However, when Christy reached the classroom, she saw Clara sitting seriously beside a police officer. Clara stared at the computer screen with her bright eyes and looked determined. 

“Clara!‘ Christy called out to Clara agitatedly.

“Alright.” The police officer immediately adjusted the eyes and replaced them on the portrait. 

“That’s them!” Clara huffed as she pointed angrily at the two men portrait on the screen and said. “They’re the ones who kidnapped my brother! Sir, please catch them!” 

“Definitely! It’s our duty as police.” The leading police officer agreed at once. 

Clara threw herself into Christy’s arms. Clara had never been separated from Alan since birth, and it was impossible not to be frightened. Only the warmth of Christy could comfort Clara mentally. 

The leading police officer kept wiping away his cold sweat.! 

They heard that the kidnappers had captured the wrong child, and Mister Leslie had already returned home safely. 

At first, the leading police officer was relieved. 

They could slowly investigate if it was just a normal civilian child.
