Chapter 30 

Joshua had watched Leslie grow up but had never seen Leslie cry so sadly. 

Leslie had never cried even when he was punished by Lacey for he didn’t follow Lacey’s request. 

Leslie was born to have a bad heart. He was recovering these years but still couldn’t bear to have extreme emotions. 

Joshua hugged Leslie for fear that Leslie would suffer a heart attack if he kept crying. Then Joshua said to Leslie gently. 

“Don’t cry, Leslie. Calm down and tell me what is going on. I will help you.” 

Leslie’s eyes were swollen, and he gasped so heavily that he couldn’t even speak fluently. 

“The bad guys wanted to catch the young master of the Melendez family. My friend looks like you, so they mistook him for me and caught him. I asked my mom to save my friend, but my mom refused… Please help me, Uncle Joshua. Save him, or he will be in danger! Those people have guns. They hurt the security guards… No…” 

Leslie finally finished his words. 

Other kids and teachers were kept in kindergarten by the police. Leslie had a special identity, so Lacey could ask the bodyguards to bring him back. 

Leslie had been waiting for Joshua at the door. Tears had never stopped. 

Leslie had mentioned to Joshua many times that he had a friend who looked like Joshua very much. 

Joshua didn’t take it seriously, but now, he felt uneasy for some reason. 

Joshua’s phone rang again. 

It was from Terence. Joshua answered it immediately. 

“Mr. Melendez, I’ve got the result of the paternity test and sent it to you,” Terence reported. 

Terence didn’t know what result Joshua was expecting. It was not proper to talk about this on the phone, and it would take at least half a day to send the paper to Joshua. Terence knew Joshua was anxious, so he sent the picture of the result to Joshua. 

Joshua opened his mailbox nervously and saw the result. He was the biological father of the twins! 

The faces of the twins flashed over Joshua’s mind, especially the boy’s poker face which was exactly the same as Joshua’s. 

They were really Joshua’s children! 

So, when did that damned woman have the children? 

Fortunately, Joshua asked Terence to do the paternity test. 

Otherwise, Christy would hide the truth from him forever. 

All of a sudden, Joshua thought of the kidnapped boy who looked like him in Leslie’s kindergarten. 

It wouldn’t be so coincidental, would it? 

Joshua’s palms were running with sweat. He asked Leslie nervously. 

“What’s the name of your friend?” 

“His name is Alan Osborn. He is my classmate and has a twin sister who also looks like him. His sister is Clara.” Leslie answered with tearful eyes. 

Joshua’s mind exploded as he heard the names. 

The boy who was kidnapped was indeed Alan! 

Joshua even hadn’t seen his son yet. Who dared to kidnap his son? 

Joshua’s eyes were burning with fury. 

Leslie was still crying. 

“Calm down, Leslie. I promise he will be fine. You are a man, so you can’t cry. Listen, good boy. Wait for the good news at home.” Joshua comforted Leslie in a gentle voice, suppressing his exploding anger. 

Leslie seemed to see Alan from Joshua’s face. 

Leslie knew he shouldn’t be weak like this, or both his uncle and Alan would be disappointed. Thinking of this, Leslie cheered up. 

“I won’t cry. I’ll be strong.” Leslie wiped tears away from his face. 

After comforting Leslie, Joshua turned around and hurriedly walked out of the villa.

He called Terence and ordered anxiously while starting the car. 

“Terence, the kidnappers mistook my son for Leslie and caught him! They asked me to pay 14 billion dollars for his life! Summon all the elites and save my son! Those kidnappers must die if they dare to hurt my son!” 

After a pause, Joshua continued. “Give them the money if you can’t control the situation. I allow you to use all the money of Stellar Group. Keep him safe at all costs and then try to save him!” 

“Yes, I will do it right now.” Terence answered with a serious face. 

Fourteen billion dollars was a shocking number. 

But Joshua didn’t hesitate at all, which meant he cared about the boy very much. 

Joshua sent the strange number and the text message to Terence and asked Terence to track it with the help of the satellite. They should be able to find the kidnappers. 

Now, Joshua drove to Mastery Kindergarten as fast as he could. 

His daughter was still there. 

The girl would be in danger if someone with bad intentions knew her identity! 

Joshua had got his son in danger. He wouldn’t let anyone hurt his daughter. 

Joshua had just known he had two children, and now, he had to meet his daughter for the first time in such a bad situation. 

Christy was still working when she received a phone call saying that her son was kidnapped and her daughter was kept in kindergarten. She had been scared and asked Ernest for a leave. Then she took a taxi to kindergarten. 

Christy was so worried that she even felt it hard to breathe. 

She was just an ordinary woman with no special background. She just came back and was not rich. Why did the kidnapper catch her son? 

Was it because of Joshua again? 

Christy had suffered a lot these days, which made her doubt if this was still Joshua’s revenge. 

When Christy came to kindergarten, the gate was already guarded by the police. All the parents were kept outside. 

Christy was led to a waiting room and couldn’t see her daughter. She also didn’t know the situation of her son. 

“Sir, is there any news about my son?” Christy urged the police. Tears filled her eyes. 

Alan had been with her since he was born. He had never left Christy. Christy didn’t dare to imagine what Alan was going to 

suffer… 

“Madam, I’m sorry. We already try our best to find him. It’s useless to urge us. Please fill out the form first. Tell us who your son has met these days in detail.” The policeman said. 

Christy was flustered, but she still filled out the form. 

“Sir, may I see my daughter first? She’s such a young kid and has never been scared like this. I’m her mother, and I must stay with her!” Christy begged the policeman again. 

*Please be patient, madam. Look, we are so busy now. Please don’t make trouble for us, okay?” The policeman said impatiently. 

Christy had thought she would see her daughter after finishing the form, but she was disappointed again. 

She got more and more worried. 

Joshua was so powerful that he could use all kinds of methods to take revenge. Perhaps he had kidnapped Alan, and even the police were helping him.
