The Business Tycoon And The Clever Twins By Jamie Joe

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

In the ward.

Christy was hanging an IV drip and still unconscious.

Although Joshua wanted to curse the woman for her irresponsibility to herself, he felt sorry for her when he saw her pale face.

Maybe she fainted because she forgot to eat while rushing to complete a project?

He called his assistant, “Terence, deliver some food to the hospital as soon as possible. By the way, something suitable for a patient,”

“Got it, Mr. Melendez, answered Terence.

Soon after, Terence arrived at the hospital with the food.

He was dressed in a black tailcoat suit with slightly long hair. He had a straight figure and a handsome appearance that could rival that of any celebrity. The female doctors and nurses blushed and would glance at him in secret when they saw him.

They didn’t expect even Joshua’s assistant to be so charming.

“Mr. Melendez, here it is.” Terence placed the food on the table.

Terence was surprised to see Joshua sitting next to the unconscious woman.

He knew very well that Joshua was usually indifferent to women. Even Gloria, who was rumored to be his girlfriend, was just a shield for him.

Who was this woman?

It was obvious that the food was for her.

Joshua didn’t plan to wait for Christy to wake up.

if she found out that he brought her to the hospital and bought her food, she would definitely get conceited.

Just as Joshua turned around to leave, Christy suddenly woke up!

She suddenly sat up and was surprised to find herself in the hospital, with Joshua standing beside her.

“Joshua Melendez! W–Why are you here again?” Christy was still drowsy, and she thought she was dreaming.

“The scumbag just can’t let go of me even in my dreams!” thought Christy.

Joshua’s face was covered in a cold sweat.

“The chick is really going so far! How dare she call out my name directly,” Joshua muttered inwardly.

“Idiot! I’m the one who brought you to the hospital! You know you have low blood sugar, but why didn’t you have dinner and pass out at work? If I hadn’t happened to pass by, you would have been dead!” Joshua scolded with a stern face.

“I passed out because of hunger?” Christy was startled.

The needle on the back of her hand was hurting, and her stomach was growling.

The familiar and cold pressure around her made her realize that she wasn’t dreaming.

Now, the little bit of color that Christy had regained after half a bottle of glucose disappeared from her face again.

For Christy, Joshua’s face was no different from seeing a ghost in a nightmare.

“Ahh!” Christy cried out in sudden realization.

Joshua’s face turned dark instantly.

“Am I not handsome and charming enough? Isn’t it gentlemanly enough for me to bring you to the hospital? Why do you look either shocked or resentful every time you see me?” wondered Joshua.

“Christy, don’t be too much! I saved you twice in a day, and you haven’t even said thank you to me,” Joshua complained.

“Why should I thank you? If it weren’t for you and your rumored girlfriend, my department wouldn’t have made things difficult for me. I wouldn’t have had to work overtime, I wouldn’t have missed dinner, and I wouldn’t have passed out and ended up in the hospital!” Christy retorted with hatred and showed no gratitude.

Joshua lost his tongue.

Christy saw the takeout on the table, which was packed.

“What’s this?” she asked Joshua warily.

“Your dinner!” Joshua said with a dark face, “Aren’t you still hungry?”

“Oh, you are not that ruthless,” Christy said with a smile. “I never thought that the condescending and mighty CEO would care about others. It’s so fortunate of me!”

Joshua’s self esteem was trampled on by her words.

Damn it, Joshua didn’t realize that he had already started to care about her.

However, the woman seemed to have a screw loose in her head. He cared about her, yet she still treated him with such a bad attitude.

Just then, Christy’s phone rang

Without caring about arguing with Joshua any further, she quickly answered the call.

On the other end of the line, a soft and tender boy’s voice sounded.

“Mommy, why haven’t you come back yet? It’s late, and you didn’t answer your phone. I’m so worried about you. Clara cried because she couldn’t see you… Mommy, when will you come back?”

It turned out to be her son, Alan.

Christy was in the emergency room just now and couldn’t answer her phone.

“Alan, I’m sorry. I’m busy with work today, and I’m still working overtime now. I might be home a little later. If you’re tired, go ahead to sleep first. Don’t wait for me…” Christy replied as sohtly and gently as possible in a low voice.

Joshua was still standing next to her, watching her every move.

She didn’t want Joshua to find out about her twins, so she didn’t dare to refer to herself as “Mommy” during the phone call.

She also didn’t want her son to know that she was sick and hospitalized, so she simply reassured him before hanging up the phone.

Joshua’s brows furrowed again.

thought Joshua.

He had seen Christy’s resume before..

He remembered that she had filled “unmarried” in the marital status column.

Christy talked to that man in such an ambiguous manner just now. She even said that she would go back to his house after work. Did the two of them cohabit with each other?

Joshua suddenly became jealous!

Christy was the woman he had taken a fancy to. Who dared to compete with him for her?

After hanging up the phone, Christy saw that Joshua was still standing there with a gloomy expression. She felt uneasy all over.

She said in an impatient tone, “Joshua, why aren’t you leaving? How can I rest properly with you standing here?”

“Christy, watch your attitude! I’m your boss,” Joshua shouted.

“So what? Mr. Melendez, I have finished work. Do you want me to work in the hospital?” Christy smiled.

Joshua was boiling with anger. The damn chick had such low emotional intelligence. Couldn’t she just thank him once?

She was probably the only person in the world who dared to snub him like this.

“Christy, good for you!”

In the end, Joshua left Christy’s ward with a black face.

His assistant, Terence, followed closely behind him, looking at his back with a surprised expression.

Terence had been working for Joshua for many years, and it was the first time he had seen a woman talk to Joshua like this. Terence knew Joshua very much. If Joshua really got angry, Christy would have been dead meat by now. However, Joshua didn’t have any intention to retaliate against Christy, and he even got a takeaway for her.

“Could it be that Mr. Melendez, who was usually aloof and immune to women, had fallen for her?” thought Terence.

Terence smiled at the thought.

Perhaps this wasn’t a bad thing! It was really exciting….

Terence drove while Joshua sat in the passenger seat.

“Terence, check Christy’s background. I want to know everything about her!” Joshua said with a poker face before adding, “And that man she talked with on the phone!”

see, Mr. Melendez, Terence held the steering wheel steadily and replied calmly.

The more Christy ignored him, the more it aroused Joshua’s curiosity.

“Christy, you belong to me! Don’t try to get away!” Joshua muttered in his mind.

A dangerous and arrogant cold light flashed in his eyes.
