Chapter 757
Chapter 757 Ready to Strike
Melinda replied, “You're right. Maybe Sherry will change her mind if Willow's the
one trying to convince her.”
Marilyn explained, “It would seem that Willow will be our key. You guys should
pay her a visit and ask her for her help whenever you're free.”
After Logan returned to the airport, he assigned some of his men to remain by
Southlake City to protect Caspian and Sherry.
He then left the city alongside Denzel.
Caspian, Willow, and Sherry returned to Riverside Villa.
Sherry became even more protective and caring toward Willow as she thought
the latter really was pregnant.
Willow was too embarrassed to tell Sherry the truth as she noticed Sherry was in
a good mood.
She felt awkward to have Sherry look after her constantly.
Willow was stuck in such a position because Caspian had lied about the
pregnancy as well.
In their bedroom that night, Willow complained, “Why did you say that today,
honey? I'm not even pregnant. If my belly doesn’t grow larger in the next few
months, won't the truth be exposed?”
Caspian smiled and replied, “Then, why don’t we just make it happen for real?”
“Huh? What do you
mean?”
“What else can I mean? Now that everyone thinks you're pregnant, we just have
to hurry up and have a baby together. By then, you won't have to pretend
anymore.”
Willow blushed after listening to his explanation. “Oh, so that's what you meant.”
It had been some time since the couple had enjoyed each other's company in
bed.
Caspian explained, “We've been married for some time now. It's only natural to
have a child. I guess we should stop using protection from now on to make sure
that you get pregnant. Let's get on with it, then.”
He had been busy half a month.
Caspian was also feeling a little anxious.
Willow awkwardly shouted, “But I'm on my period right now!”
Caspian was left dumbfounded. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
“I only realized after the dinner as well.”
“Then, can we still do it?”
“Of course not! You're just going to get blood everywhere!”
Willow couldn't believe that Caspian would even ask such a question.
Caspian replied, “Alright, then. There's no need for us to rush things anyway.”
Willow asked, “Oh, yeah, what do you think about what happened with the
Masseys today?”
“I'd have acknowledged Logan as my father long ago if the Masseys never
humiliated Mom. I can't forgive them for disrespecting her.”
“Will you change your mind once you find out that things happened for a good
reason?”
Caspian nodded and replied, “Of course I will think about it.”
Willow explained, “I think Mr. Massey is genuine with his efforts to reconnect and
reconcile with you and your mother.
“He came to offer you help after you had been deposed, meaning that he wasn't
trying to reconcile with you to gain favors with your status as the Diatoranian God
of War in the first place.”
“I'll think about it after I've finished investigating the truth.”
“But now that you've been deposed, how will you investigate the matter?”
“Don’t worry. It's just a matter of time.”
Willow sighed and replied, “I wonder if I can find my biological mother as well.”
Caspian reassured her, “Don’t worry, Willow. I've also tasked my men to
investigate your biological mother. Maybe we'll be able to find her soon.”
Meanwhile, in the Andrews residence, Kelvin explained, “Dad, it seems that our

peace talk with Filren has aroused dissatisfaction among the public. The entire
country is filled with protestors chanting for you to step down as the king's
advisor.
“They also voiced for Caspian to be reinstated as the Diatoranian God of War.
Should we do something about it?”
Jerry angrily shouted, “Didn't we already set up a whole team just for this? Tell
them to arrest all of the troublemakers and kill them all! We'll see if the public still
dares to spout nonsense then!”
“Of course! I'm on it!"
“One more thing. Have you captured Miranda yet?”
“Not yet. But I've already assigned the men from Skyarch Palace to make haste
to Southlake City since Miranda's still living in Caspian’s house. Perhaps they're
still waiting for an opportunity to strike.
Jerry asked, “I see. So, Zane, what about you?”
Zane replied, “The Filrenian envoy asked for a lot of money. We haven't
managed to reach an agreement yet.”
“What? Who do they think they are?”
“I know, right? They tried to blackmail us at every opportunity. They wanted
Diatoran to pay them 20 trillion dollars in compensation alongside ceding the
entire West Aridlands to them. How am I supposed to accept such an
agreement?”
All three men of the Andrews family were furious.
Jerry asked, “Do they even have a good reason to be making such unreasonable
demands?”
Zane replied, “They claimed that the previous conflict with Diatoran caused them
heavy losses. They wanted the money to rebuild the capital city that they've lost.”
Jerry sighed and continued, “It can’t be helped since we've reached out for a
peace talk to begin with. Just continue the negotiation for now. But we absolutely
cannot cede West Aridlands to them.”
Zane explained, “The Diatoranians already have quite a bad impression of us.
Giving West Aridlands away might just spark an uprising.”
“Like I said, have the troublemakers arrested and killed! Just cover up what
happened and control the public from further spreading any of their beliefs.”
“I understand. By the way, we've also received news.”

“What is it?"
Zane reported, “Commander Massey had just gone to Southlake City.”
He then explained everything that had happened between Logan, Caspian, and
Sherry at Southlake City.
Jerry nodded his head and replied, “Seems like Logan failed to reconcile with his
long-lost family. We'll have to prevent them from ever reconciling as well. We
might not be able to deal with Caspian if he works with his father to deal with us.”
“But what can we do to stop them from reconciling with one another?”
“I believe Caspian must be investigating what happened 20 years ago. We just
have to make a few changes to the truth he’s about to uncover.”
