Chapter 71-1
Chapter 71
CLARA:
My legs found their way out of the mansion and when I got outside, I took to my heel, running as far as I could as tears rolled down my eyes uncontrollably,
As I kept running, I replayed my mother’s words in my head over and over again, and it almost made me stop at my track so I could cry my eyes out,
I knew for a fact that I wouldn’t do what my father wanted. Mate or not, Tyson was mine and he was the man I loved. But, if Father found out, I would be as good as dead and Tyson’s pack would be in danger because Father wouldn’t spare his pack and the long-time friendship between him and Tyson’s father would come to an end,
When this thought engulfed my mind completely, I halted in my tracks without recognizing I was already at the deepest part of a forest. I was long gone from my pack and I had no idea which pack I was in at the moment
There had to be a way out of this.
I found myself desperately wanting to call Tyson and tell him what was going on, but what if he found a reason to give up on us completely because of this? I was so scared of losing him,
I couldn’t believe I had fallen head over heels for Tyson already after so many years of thinking it would never be possible,
I rubbed the tears off my face when I heard a low growl in the Forest and I turned around to look,
"Who’s there?" I yelled out, but there was no response,
I inhaled the air as I shut my eyes for a second so I could focus,
"Rogues," I murmured to myself and began to take steps backward. Why the hell were they everywhere? First of all, I had to know exactly where they were, I turned around but the only thing around me were big trees and bushes. I had run miles from home, and I knew I was far because of how fast I was earlier,
I gently rubbed the sweat on my forehead, knowing I hadn’t taken my phone along so I couldn’t call for help,
I was strong enough to handle a few rogues but maybe not more than enough wild rogues to keep me off guard,
I could perceive their scents everywhere and as a result, I could also tell there were so many of them. I took to my heels, running as fast as I could so I could find any exit because it was dangerous being all alone,
While running, I heard footsteps behind me, not one, not two, not three, not four, but a lot of them that I couldn’t count. They were fucking after me,
My mind rambled around different ways to outsmart them, but right now, all I was in was a panic mode and I couldn’t think straight at this
