Chapter 34
After recognizing who that man was, Becky smiled and said, “Hi, Cristian. It’s been a long time since we met last time.”
The man was Cristian Morton. He was Becky’s college classmate and had the same teacher as Becky. Cristian was one year ahead of Becky in college. Thus, he was a full- time employee at the company.
After talking with Cristian for a while, Becky realized she did not have anything else to do later. Thus, she nodded to accept the invitation and said, “You pick the restaurant.”
Cristian stared at Becky and had a bigger smile, replying, “Sure. I bet you will love it. How’s everything at work?”
Cristian and Becky walked to the underground parking lot, talking.
Becky saw Betty as soon as she entered the parking lot.
Sigmund stood in front of his car, and Betty stood beside Sigmund.
Betty asked, “Sigmund, how about having a meal together? I found a pretty good restaurant nearby. It isn’t far away from here.”
However, Sigmund’s attention was not on Betty. Sigmund paused when opening the car door because he had seen Becky.
Sigmund also saw there was a man beside her.
Becky was in the distance, so Sigmund could not hear what Becky was saying to the man. However, Sigmund saw Becky smiling with dimples on her face.
Then Sigmund saw the man help Becky take her handbag and open the car door for Becky like a gentleman.
Sigmund knew Becky had noticed him. Thus, Sigmund narrowed his eyes and interrupted Betty.
Sigmund ordered, “Get in the car.”

Betty’s heart suddenly skipped a beat when she heard the four words.
Betty thought to herself, “Is Sigmund that eager? So, does Sigmund care about me deep down?”
Betty blushed. Then she shyly opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.
Soon, Becky and Cristian got in the car. Seeing their car slowly drive away, Sigmund glanced at Betty, who sat in the passenger seat with her head lowered due to her shyness. Then Sigmund got annoyed.
Sigmund ordered in a deep voice, “Get out.”
Betty was dumbfounded when Sigmund changed suddenly. She could not react for a moment. Then she raised her head and looked at Sigmund in confusion.
Seeing the white car in the front gradually disappear, Sigmund got anxious. Thus, he repeated impatiently.
“Get out of the passenger seat and sit in the back!”
The contrast was so big that it extinguished Betty’s hope which had just arisen.
Betty’s eyes turned red. However, she stood still and wanted Sigmund to comfort her.
Unexpectedly, Sigmund did not take pity on Betty. He said coldly, “Do you want me to throw you out?”
Betty bit her lips and wiped her tears. After calming down, Betty quietly exited the car and
sat in the back seat.
Betty thought to herself, “But I must be a special person in Sigmund’s heart. Otherwise, why did he ask me to get in the car?”
Soon, Sigmund stopped in front of a restaurant.
Betty looked outside. Then she was surprised, thinking, “Isn’t this restaurant the one I mentioned just now?”
Betty got soft again. She thought, “Sigmund just doesn’t know how to express himself. He

has me in his heart.”
However, the next second, Betty saw Sigmund get off the car without waiting for her.
When Betty hurriedly followed him, Sigmund had already picked a table.
They went to the table, and Betty sat opposite Sigmund.
Their table was facing Becky’s table. Sadly, Betty was immersed in happiness and did not discover Becky since Becky’s table was behind her.
At that time, Cristian handed the menu to Becky and joked, “I was worried that you had already forgotten me.”
Becky replied with a smile, “Cristian, listen to yourself. We had the same teacher and went to classes together. How can I forget you?”
Then Cristian and Becky chatted about what was new about them and renewed their
school memories.
During the conversation, Becky looked around and chuckled with her hand covering her mouth. When she raised her head, she saw Sigmund and Betty sitting nearby. Then Becky’s smile froze.
Becky thought, “It is truly a small world.”
Sigmund stared at Becky and forgot the time.

Noticing that Sigmund had no response to what she said, Betty followed Sigmund’s gaze and found Becky.
Betty gritted her teeth, thinking, “Becky is like a ghost haunting my life. How can she be everywhere?”
Betty wanted to piss Becky off. Thus, she asked tentatively, “Sigmund, is that Becky? Why is she eating with that man? Are they friends? Should we join them? I have a feeling of solitude since this table only has us. We may have more fun and interesting conversations if we eat with them.

Betty implied that when she said those words to Sigmund.

To Betty’s surprise, Sigmund seemed happy to hear that suggestion. He smirked and replied, “Great idea.”
Within seconds, Becky sensed Sigmund had stood up.
Soon, Becky noticed someone pulling a chair from the table beside her. Then, she saw Sigmund in a dark grey suit sitting down.
Betty controlled her annoyance and followed Sigmund to move the seats. Then she greeted Becky and Cristian. “What a coincidence. We saw that you were also having a meal here. We think we will have more fun if we eat together. You don’t mind us sitting here, do you?”
When Sigmund sat down, Cristian immediately recognized Sigmund in shock. Cristian was so shocked that his eyes became dull.
Cristian cried inside, “I have never expected to see my boss after work!
“What should I do when my boss decides to sit next to me? Should I google a solution for
that?”
Cristian’s brain went blank when he saw Sigmund. He did not know how to react.
Cristian thought to himself, “I swear! I asked Becky for a meal merely because I wanted to bond with her. After all, Becky was excellent in academic performance and left a good impression on me.”
Sigmund knew what Cristian was thinking without any doubt. However, he looked around and fixed his gaze on Becky’s foie gras. Then he asked in a deep voice, “That’s strange. I remember you never eat foie gras.”
Sigmund’s voice was so gentle. It sounded like he and Becky were an intimate couple.
Becky was shocked by Sigmund’s words. However, before she could react, Sigmund took a tissue and gently wiped her mouth.
Sigmund said gently, “Look at you. You’ve got something on your lips.”
