Sharp

Chapter • Tony •

“I got a call from the school today that you were involved in a fight. Becca, what happened?” My mom asked me when she entered my room. She made sure to close the door behind her. To make sure the others could hear us.

“It was some girl. She sprayed my face with body spray like it was pepper spray and kicked me a couple of times. I didn’t even do anything to provoke her. I was changing for gym class and she just attacked me while everyone laughed. Only one person helped me and brought me to the nurses office. I’m greatful, but the nurses weren’t as nice. They almost didn’t let me leave to get on my bus.” Looking down at my gray fuzzy socks while sitting on my desk chair. “Mom, I was scared. I’m still in so much pain and it hurts so much to get up and down from a seat.”

“Darling,” She comes to me and squats down to my level. She hold me firmly around arms, making sure not to touch my waist. “I’ll make sure thing gets resolved correctly. The nurse fabricated the story and said you were hitting back.” She began petting my hair.

“Unfortunately, you’ll have to stay home for 3 days. They told me your suspended for that amount of time. I’ll let you do whatever you need to do during that time. Just make sure you get the school work done during that time. I know you will, but it is my expectation from you.”

She gets back up and holds a hand out to help me up, “First we need to get you checked out. I had an appointment today for myself but they agreed to give you my time slot and I could go at another time.”

My mom was so kind to me. She helped me up which did relieve some pressure from my side.

Grabbing my black bomber jacket and slipping on my slippers and we headed down stairs to leave.

“Miranda is at ballet, so after we’re done with the doctors we will need to pick her up.” Mom let me know. It was normal on Mondays for her to stay at the ballet studio longer. The little one normally got out a little after my mom left work. Which always worked out perfectly. Today wasn’t any different since we had to take a detour and need some extra time. Since my mom was taking me to the doctors.

Not sure what the doctor would do for me, but at least I was getting check up just in case.

We’re all get back home and I was prescribed pain medicine and told to rest and drink fluids. Rest was the part that our doctor really stressed on.

My body needed to heal itself and he suspected one of my ribs had broke in the kicks to my side. Leaving me a bit queasy, since I’ve never broken a bone before. The only way to fix a rib was to rest and not over exert myself. Luckily, I didn’t need to leave the house and could do my school assignments at home easily.

The doctor said when I returned to school that I would have to exclude myself from gym for 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks I will have to go in for my next appointment to make sure everything is okay before I can resume to physical activity. He also recommended that I not wear a heavy backpack or carry a lot of stuff. Even suggested I receive help if needed. Which was no one.

Our doctor was biased to my style. He was genuine with his care to his patients.

He even notified my school the things I can and cannot do when I return back to school. Even excusing late arrivals to classes to give me more time and to take my time while getting to each class. He made sure to speak to the principal and demand that these actions were followed, since they didn’t accurately fill out an innocent report. Pretty much blackmailing my school for my care. The nurse reported everything wrong as if she didn’t hear one word I said.

Without telling me, the doctor hinted at the nurse being able to lose her job from such misinformation. It even said I hurt my own self. So in the end, Misty didn’t get reprimanded for beating me up. She was allowed to continue the rest of the week of school with no suspension. And her career in cheerleading didn’t have to lack.

All because of Tony, I had to see bad people still continue so get their way no matter what they did. I would have been fine not going to the nurses and just going home. I could have just said myself all these extra step had he not saved me.

How did he even know I was hurt in the locker room. Guys weren’t allowed in their and he knew I was beaten up. Maybe I was crying really loud or the girls were talking about my body crippled on the ground. Which was practical.

Tony also picked me up as if I weighted nothing. I’m only 120 pounds which men can’t find that to be difficult, but he did it in a way that a child is easily picked by their parent. Maybe he weight lifts, his built would say so. His thin muscular build made him undesirable.

Misty had to have been raged that she was talked down to by him, to defend me. This irresistible man defending the weirdo in school must have pissed her off. She isn’t shy of being the class’ slut and one more handsome guy added to her list would have made her one level more powerful.
