Chapter Bad Blood
Keegan finally headed outside onto the busy streets, the light from the patchwork artificial sky above home hurt his eyes, he stumbled his way down the street, narrowly missing bumping into anybody.
He didn't know where to go, he just knew he needed air. As he made his way through the crowd, he accidentally bumped into a woman and knocked her over, his vision blurred for a moment as he looked down at her.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you, Miss" He apologised.
"It's okay, don't worry" Roisin smiled, in that instant Keegan stepped back in horror. "Say, you look familiar" She pondered.
"Get out of my head!" He shouted at her. The crowd began backing away from Roisin and Keegan.
"Out of your head?" Roisin asked, as she took steps back.
"I CAN'T SLEEP!" He yelled, as he summoned his Celestial Spear. Roisin summoned her Celestial Crossbows in response.
"Back off, or I will use these" Roisin threatened.
"You're just looking for an excuse to kill me" Keegan frowned.
"I don't even know who you are!" Roisin growled.
"You are what I would have been, if I hadn't been taken from our Mother" Keegan seethed with anger and hatred.
"Our Mother?" Roisin shrugged. "Are you delusional?" She asked.
"It would be much simpler, if I was..." Keegan said, as his eyes began glowing Grey and Purple.
Roisin gasped and stepped back, she instantly recognized those powers, that only those of the Luna bloodline could wield.
"You... you're responsible for all of this..." Roisin said, in a quiet tone.
"All of this?" Keegan asked.
"The darkness, the fall of Demi and Aranei, you did this" Roisin accused Keegan.
"It was necessary to stop you and Lumina!" Keegan replied, as he clenched his teeth.
"To stop us from doing what?" Roisin asked.
"I won't be part of this charade any longer, dear sister" Keegan shook his head. "I am Keegan Luna, I am your twin brother, and I will stop you, and save this world from your blinding light" He roared. Roisin chuckled.
"Quite the egotist aren't you, Keegan" Roisin smirked. "I'm not gonna fight you, not here, not now" She shrugged, as her crossbows faded away. "The people of this city have suffered enough, Sanctuary is a safe haven and I won't be responsible for bringing blood to these streets. Strike me down, if you have to, I won't fight back" Roisin shrugged.
"So be it, farewell Roisin, in another life, maybe we could have been friends" Keegan sighed, as he charged at Roisin, as he neared her, he felt a sharp pain in his neck, he fell instantly to the floor, and blacked out.
The dreams didn't come this time, everything was silent, aside from a beeping machine, and quiet voices. He could hear Roisin and their brother, Syl. It had been a while since he felt this calm and relaxed.
After what felt like days, he finally had the strength to open his eyes, a white ceiling was above him, he tried to sit up, but was restrained, using special straps to prevent him from using any of the magic he possessed.
Roisin was stood beside him, Keegan looked at her and frowned.
"Release me" He growled.
"I can't do that, Keegan, I'm sorry" She shook her head. He then noticed another, stood beside her, a Hubun male, but something about him seemed different.
"Keegan, we think the Senior Partners are trying to invade your mind. You must resist them" Dex sighed.
"Senior Partners, what is that, some suits you work for?" Keegan growled.
"They're the dark forces at work, the reason why I had to team up with Lumina" Roisin admitted.
"Why should I believe you, you're in league with her, I bet you supported her whole campaign against Crystalla, so you could get the power you possess" Keegan frowned.
"Because Lumina killed me" Dex revealed.
"Uh... but you're here" Keegan raised his eyebrow.
"Thanks to Roisin yes" Dex shrugged.
"How does that work?" Keegan asked.
"We don't quite know yet, but we hope it can be used in defence of Crystalla" Dex explained. Roisin nodded, then took Keegan's hand and looked him in the eye.
"Keegan, I now know that you are my brother. I will do everything I can to help you step away from the brink, I know the lies that Treleva fed you seem convincing, but believe me when I say, he is a pawn of the Partners. I don't expect you to trust me right away, but please just give me a chance" Roisin said, as she stared into his eyes.
"And what of Lumina, the white witch?" Keegan asked.
"She's useful, for now" Roisin nodded. "I don't trust her either, she killed Dex in front of me for no real reason, but this threat to our world... no, our reality is more important than petty revenge" Roisin replied. Keegan took a moment to think it over, he had nothing to lose, if this was a trick, so be it, he'd kill them, if it wasn't a trick, then he could learn more of this threat, and maybe learn to stand with Roisin.
"I'll do it" Keegan nodded. "I don't expect you to untie me right away, and I don't expect you to ever completely trust me, but for now, I'll stand with you, Roisin" Keegan smiled slightly. "Another thing, I must tell you, these dreams I have..." He began.
"Syl was able to break the spell that was placed upon your mind, you should be able to rest easy now, if they come back, please inform us" Dex explained.
"I will, thank you" Keegan nodded, he turned his gaze to the ceiling, and d
