REGINA MILES- A BILLIONAIRE STORY ( Thomas Miles )

Chapter 11

Chapter Eleven: Thanksgiving Sunday

“Why did he bring her here?” I whispered to Angela, who sat just beside me.

“she clearly has no shame.”

Thomas cleared out his throat, drawing our attention towards him. Earlier that day, I had called back the chefs and housekeepers to prepare varieties of meals and keep the house in order as it was Thanksgiving Sunday. Since Angela was in town, I had invited her. I needed a confidant because I knew quite well the amount of drama that would unfold, and I wasn’t wrong.

“I want to especially thank my sister, Beatrice, for coming all the way from Belgium for this Thanksgiving dinner and for all of you who have found time to come. But before we begin eating, I’ll like to say a few things.

Thomas and his many words.

“For the past few weeks, I have been neck deep in campaigns and meetings because, as you all know, I’m contesting for the mayor’s position, and with the way things are going, I think I actually got this as I do not have a rival that could stand a chance.”

Oh, tell me about it. Wait until I drop the bomb

“I want to especially appreciate Catherine for all her work in pulling this through.”

“Catherine?!” I shouted, and everyone turned towards me. I could not hold it back as his words hit me. In fact, he intended to attribute everything to his whore after utilizing me to accomplish it.

“Like I was saying, I would not let anyone down when I got hold of this position, and so your utmost support would be appreciated.”

They applauded faintly, and Catherine stared at me with a sneaky smirk.

“With that being said, let’s eat.”

But before we took on the first bite, the door swung open, and Jayden walked in. In his hand were the

hands of his lover, Sam

“Jayden, I’m glad you could make it.”

Thomas did not raise his head as he began to eat.

“Jayden, you look so different, I could hardly recognize you,” Beatrice said.

“Hey everyone, this is Sam, my boyfriend.”

Everyone in their thoughts said nothing after that. I could feel the tension in Jayden’s face, and his sweaty hands shook. Somehow I felt bad for pushing him to come, but this was his family, and they should know who he really was. I placed mine on him, looking up to him.

“It’s okay. I love you the way you are.”

Ca Thaken Sunday

“So what are you now? A female?” Beatrice asked, but Jayden only looked at me.

“Answer her.” Thomas persuaded.

“Look guys, Jayden is gay, you all don’t have to make it seem weird.” I said.

“I

have seen other gays; at least they did not have to Implant some silicon in their chest. What’s your name, young man?” He asked Sam.

“It’s Sam.”

“Sam, huh, tell me, how do you suck on those?”

Catherine muffled her giggles as his question cracked her up, and soon Beatrice Joined her.

“Suck on what?”

“The newly implanted silicon breast.”

“1. Uhmm..” He stuttered, clearing out his throat.

“I guess so.”

“Thomas, Jayden is still our son, no matter what.”

“I have no son,” Thomas said.

As those words left his lips, I watched as tears rushed down his cheeks. My little boy has been hurt by the same man who hurt me, and I am still as helpless as I have been. I couldn’t save myself. How would I save him? Jayden, without saying another word, jumped off his seat as he moved out of the

table.

“Jayden!” I called out to him

“Mom, It is clear that I am not needed here. And I cannot be in a place where I am not wanted. I have a good life with Sam out there. Mom, you can sit there and wallow in self–pity while this man ruins your life.”

“Jayden, don’t say that. He is still your father.”

“But I am not his son; how fair is that? Look, Mom, I don’t know why you still fight for this man when you clearly know that he does not deserve you. And it’s Joyce now. Sam, let’s get the hell out of here; this was a mistake.” He walked out, slamming the door behind him.

I was stunned by his words–the same thing that Evans had said to me. And just then, it occurred to me. I didn’t even know why I was still there, having dinner with people I couldn’t even call family

anymore.

“I hope you are happy now, Thomas. You chased your own child away, but you brought this stranger to our table. How cruel.”

Π

“You would not tell me who I would bring to our dining table.”

“You know what? I’m done with this pretense.” I dropped the cutlery and got on my feet, looking above the heads of everyone seated on the table.

“I have something to say to everyone,” I said, looking at Angela as she nodded in affirmation. It was time to let the cat out of the bag.

“Thomas, I would not support you for this campaign anymore. I need a divorce.

“That’s some silly talk, woman. You cannot need a divorce at this time that Thomas is on the verge of attaining something this important for the family.”

“Beatrice, you know nothing about what’s been happening, so you stay out of this.”

“No, I won’t. Thomas was right all along.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Everything he said about you is true.”

“Are you fucking kidding me right now? Thomas, you have been talking about me to your family behind my back. Well, did he tell you that he brings this woman to our home and fucks her on our matrimonial bed?”

“And you haven’t cheated on him as well?” Tears gathered in my eyes. Thomas was always steps. ahead, and I never saw it coming, but this time I had gone steps forward, and I was sure that he did not see coming as well.

“Well done.”

done, Thomas. You are always steps ahead. I can play this game, you know; that is why I am getting my lawyer involved in this case. We would be getting a separation.”

“Do all you wish, Regina. You do not scare me. I am going to become the next mayor, and you know that. When I do, you can get your divorce, and I will be finally free from you.

“That’s such a good plan. But what if you somehow have a rival that has all the capacity to beat you in

this?”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Well, I asked a question, and from your facial expression, you do not have an answer to that. Let me let you know that I am that rival that would defeat you and make you a loser.”

What?”

“Yes, Thomas, I am running for the mayor’s position.”

Thomas burst into wild laughter as they joined him in it.

“I knew you were many things, Regina, but certainly not a joker. How can you possibly run for mayor? You wouldn’t even pass the first line of screening.” In that instant, Catherine’s phone beeped, and she had a wide gaze as she stared at it.

“What is it, Catherine?” Thomas asked
