Chapter 198
Aveline followed Owen and sneaked out from the back door. She deliberately changed Into at
different outfit.
She was amazed by Owen's skill in disguising. With just a few things applied to her face, he easily changed her features. Adding a layer of dark powder made Aveline look ten years older.
Owen's face also transformed into that of a middle-aged man, making it impossible to recognize his original appearance.
The two of them went to St. Thereese Mountain Mental Hospital again. Aveline pretended to be at distant relative of Sheila and found the hospital director, while Owen stayed out of sight and quickly
climbed over the iron fence.
Aveline was astonished to see that even without electricity, the fence was covered in spikes. How did
Owen manage to do that?
They split up, and Aveline explained their purpose to the receptionist. The director's face showed a
hint of pity.
"Oh, this poor child. She has been here for so long, and her parents haven't visited once. Her body is
still unclaimed."
Aveline had thought that Sheila had been cremated, but she was surprised to learn that her body was still at the funeral home.
Sheila's young face flashed in Aveline's mind. Some people were pitiable while alive, but even more
so in death.
"Don't worry, Director. We will take her back and give her a proper burial. Her parents are abroad, and it's inconvenient for them to come back. I will take care of her affairs. Are her belongings still
here?"
"Yes, I have kept her belongings. Come with me."
As they passed by the same ward as before, Aveline stopped. "I want to go in and have a look. Is that okay?"
"Go ahead. After her death, all the other patients in this ward were transferred, so the room is empty

How."
Aveline pushed the door open. The room looked even more desolate than before, with only a bed and a cabinet. The walls were painted a dismal white, and the sunlight streaming in through the window carried dancing dust particles,
The empty room mirrored Sheila's forlorn life.
"My niece was so pitiful. She excelled in her studies, but who would have thought she would end up like this? We were counting on her to bring honor to our family."
The director agreed, "Indeed. She was such a beautiful girl."
"Director, apart from us, did anyone else visit her?"
"Her own family didn't, and neither did anyone else. Oh, I remember seeing a boy who looked similar to her once. But his visit disturbed Sheila's emotions, and she had a breakdown. After that,
he never came back."
Upon hearing this, Aveline's expression changed. "What kind of boy was he?"
"He was tall, with slightly dark skin. He looked like a college student." "Director, can we check the visitor records?"
"Why do you need to do that?" The director looked at Aveline suspiciously.
"I'll be honest with you. The reason my unfortunate niece had a breakdown and went mad was because someone deceived her into getting pregnant in school and forced her to drop out. I want to find out who did this to her. Her parents didn't care for her, but I have always been fond of her since she was little. If I hadn't been abroad recently, I would have come to claim her body earlier."
"Alright, I'll check for you."
The director quickly found the name of the visitor, Sun Hao, in the records. He also handed over Sheila's belongings to Aveline, who expressed her gratitude.
"It's just a small favor. It's good to see things through to the end." The director waved her off.
Aveline continued, "I heard that when my niece was alive, her attending doctor took good care of her. I want to thank her in person."

"That's not necessary. Dr. Cravel has already resigned."
Aveline pretended to be surprised. "Really? That's a shame. I heard she was a very good doctor."
"Dr. Cravel indeed was a good doctor. She took care of Shella a lot over the past two years. I guess she couldn't bear Sheila's sudden death. But it was her choice, and we have to respect it."
Aveline asked various questions before bidding farewell to the director and heading straight to the funeral home to claim Sheila's body.
When the staff learned that she was there to claim the body, they warned her, "Um, this female corpse jumped to her death. Since her relatives haven't paid for the funeral, she has been left in the freezer for two months without even basic beautification. You should be prepared for the changes in her appearance due to decomposition."
The staff led them to the room where the bodies were kept and casually introduced, "Most of these are unclaimed bodies. If no one comes to claim them after a while, we handle them ourselves. You're lucky that this body is still here."
As they stopped in front of the mortuary cabinet, the staff asked, "Do you want to say your final goodbye? If not, we'll proceed with the cremation."
