Reborn Academy

I can’t tell you what was going through my mind when the cabin came into view. I haven’t seen this cabin in a long time. The cabin was set off deep into the woods. My dad’s ancestors build the cabin many years ago. It was made of wood and stone from around the area. The lights were on inside the house, lighting up it’s surrounding. Sasha ease into a park as everyone looks up at the cabin in awe. The door to the cabin opens catching my eye. A man steps out the house looking towards us.

“Is that your dad?” Daniel asks looking at the man.

“That’s my dad,” I told him getting out the car.

I walk slowly up to the house my eyes glued to his. I can hear the other getting out the car behind me. I stop right at the stairs up to the cabin staring him straight in the eye. I always thought after twelve years that I wouldn’t be able to pick my dad out if he walks in front of me, but now standing in front of him It’s like he never left. I remember everything to the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. We both have the same dark brown eyes and dark hair. It’s like he never change over the twelve years. Oh, yeah almost forgot he was a vampire.

“Anglia.” He said my name slowly.

“Wow. I can’t believe you remembered my name dad.” I told him.

“It’s only been twelve years. Why wouldn’t I.” He huff.

I rolled my eyes at that looking back up to him, but he wasn’t standing there. He stood only a few feet from me looking down at me in amusement. I stood straighter to seem taller since he stood six feet tall.

“Your mom was right. You have my personality.” He said to no one in particular.

“I wouldn’t know,” I said sarcastically.

“Maybe. So, how has my daughter been doing since I left?”

“Well, first of all, I found out about this school for hampires. Then I found out I was a half vampire and that my dad who left twelve years ago was a vampire. Next, I come to find out mom knew where you were the whole time, excepting the relationship that went on between us over those twelve years.”

“Anglia!” My dad interrupted.

“Oh, I’m not done yet. When I got to Reborn Academy I was jumped by four girls. One of them being my friend and the other one my enemy, who’s both standing behind me now. I’m…We are also being hunted by a vampire who’s working for this guy that wants us to work for him. So with all of that and I’m standing in front of you know I think I’ve been doing good dad.” I told him now standing in front of him.

He looks down at me with a raised eyebrow a faint smile show over his lips. I was breathing hard to catch my breath after that whole monolog.

“That does sound good, but who’s the person that want’s to get you?” He asks in a serious voice.

I pause at his sudden change to amusement to protectiveness.

“Uh…Tatrous Askin.” I told him.

“Huh.” He said looking up over my shoulders.

“These are my companies,” I told him backing up from him.

“Which one is your enemy?” He asks looking at all of them in turn.

Sasha and I both look to each other and back to my dad.

“We’re more friend enemies now.” We both said at the same time.

“So the middle one must be your friend.”

Bambi and I both nod in unison after looking towards each other

“Interesting, and is this boy your boyfriend?” He asks nodding towards Daniel.

Daniel and I both look at each then back to my father.

“He’s stupid.” I told him while Daniel said, “We’re on the ropes.”

My dad raise an eyebrow at him “You don’t think my daughter is worthy of you dating her?”

“No. It’s complicated.” He told him in a straight voice.

“It’s really not that complicated if you ask me.” Bambi put in.

“Yeah, you see before Anglia came to Reborn Academy me and Daniel use to went out,” Sasha said to my dad.

“After finding that their relationship was a complete fake they decided to break up.” Bambi put in.

I look towards my dad in enlargement. I’m realizing that Sasha and Bambi are very honest when their together. They just love telling other people’s business and my dad is over here really listening to them. I look to Daniel with a pleading look, but he was staring at Bambi and Sasha in astonishment.

“Now they’re putting it in the complicated category.” Sasha finish.

“We think they just want it to be those type of books where something happens to one of them. Then come to realize that they have always been in love with each other.” Bambi added in after a minute.

“Really?” My dad asks looking at me and Daniel.

“This is not how I thought how meeting my dad for the first time in years would be like,” I said running a hand down my face.

“I thought you would resent me when we finally meet. So, this is way better than I imagine.” He told me with a smile.

I glared up at him shaking my head. The front door open to the cabin causing all of us to look up. My mom looks down at us before going down the stairs. She came to a stop by the dad looking over to me.

“I see you made it Anglia.” She said with a smile.

“Duh, I’m standing right here.” I and my dad said at the same time but he said: “she”.

“Anyway, mom already meet Daniel…” I was saying before dad cut me off.

“You already meet the boy?” He asks my mom.

“Yeah.” Was all my mom told him?

He looks down at her wanting more information than the one-word answer. I just continue with the introductions.

“Dad this is Daniel. Mom and dad this is Bambi and Sasha.” I told them.

“Nice meeting friends of Anglia’s that’s not boys.” My mom said smiling at Sasha and Bambi.

“What you mean by that?” My dad asks her.

“You would know if you stayed.” She told him.

“You know why I had to leave. It’s not like I never stayed in contact to make sure you guys were ok.”

“You to have been staying in contact the whole time?” I ask them.

My mom rolled her eyes at dad looking to me “Let’s talk about this in the cabin.” She told me.

I was going to argue but a voice cut me off from above “It’s been over an hour you guys are still out here.”

I look up to see Mr. Hall looking down at us and Zoe right next to him. I knew Mr. Hall had something to do with that note and now that I’m really looking at him he looks somewhat like my dad. He motion for us to come into the house. My parents turn around without saying anything making their way up the steps.

“This is better than those family reality shows,” Sasha said as she walks past me.

Bambi followed after her with a smile. Daniel came up behind be giving me a look. We both true up the stairs into the cabin. The floors and countertops of the cabin were made of stone, everything else was made of wood. It’s been upgraded ever since I last been here so I was in shock at its beauty. We all walk into the spacious living room finding a seat in the three couches. I sat next to Daniel on a leather mini couch. Which I never knew there was a mini couch.

“What are you doing here Mr. Hall?” I ask him even though I already know the answer.

“Sorry, Anglia. I couldn’t tell you that I was your father’s brother…your uncle.” He said with an apologetic look.

“Well, it seems I wasn’t told a lot of things,” I told them.

“This was all to keep you safe Anglia.” My mom spoke up looking at me.

“Safe from what because the past few days the only people that been keeping me safe is these guys,” I told her pointing at my friends.

“If that’s true then I appreciate you kids for keeping her safe cause we didn’t succeed on that.” My dad said look at them in turn.

“Tatrous…” My dad was interrupted my a knock on the door.

Voices were heard as they came into the house. Those voices sound familiar as they come more into the house. My dad stood up as two middle age couple walks into the living room. Their eyes sweep the room before they landed on me. A smile came across their face before looking to my dad.

“Have we miss anything son?” The woman asks with a smile.

“No, right on time mom.”

I look back to the couple. Looking at them in a new light I can see my dad and Mr.Hallin them, I can see me in them. My grandparents that haven’t seen since I was little was standing in the living room entrance way.

“What is this…A family reunion?” I ask to no one in particular.
