“This is the result after discussion. But as I said, SL Series is entirely in your hands.” 

Kendrick stood up. As he was much taller than Samantha, he could see Samantha’s 

slightly fluttering eyelashes from his perspective. 

Suddenly noticing the barely noticeable powder at the corner of her mouth, he involuntarily reached out. Running his fingertip across her warm l*ps, Kendrick was 

suddenly in a good mood. 

Samantha frowned. She withdrew and left without looking back with the documents 

in her hands. 

“Mr. Ford, were you teasing?” 

Jude was stunned.

Helen trailed by Samantha’s side. She had witnessed what happened between 

Kendrick and Samantha just now. 

She spoke up, “Sophia…”

Helen was speechless. She followed Samantha to address the issues with SL Series. 

She then took the opportunity to tidy up some long–standing problems in the design 

department, reporting them as a surprise inspection. 

After returning to the CEO’s office, more tasks followed. Linda seemed to casually 

issue orders to increase Samantha’s workload. 

Samantha decided to just leave the office for more peace. However, she bumped into 

Helen again. 

“What’s wrong?” she asked. 

“Recently, something strange has been happening in the design department. Just 

now, someone lost the two original drafts from SL Series. Since they were originals,

A man’s angry voice echoed from the design department. 

“Back up? Don’t you know that this is highly classified? The originals should never be leaked. We were supposed to start backing them up tonight, and now you’re telling me they’re gone!” Helen yelled from the entrance. 

The other people in the design department sat nervously at their desks, watching the drama unfold. 

Samantha’s face turned ashen. The importance of the original drafts allowed no room for any failures. Even for her, this was the first time encountering such a 

situation. 

“Anyway, the original is gone. Ms. Linda said that as long as we find a time to make 

up for it…” 

As soon as Samantha heard Linda’s name, she felt like she was about to explode. 

Linda’s intentions were clearly not for the company. Now, she was fooling around 

with the company’s projects. 

“Since Linda has said that, go to the original draft designer to get the originals again.

Linda hung up on the man and looked at Samantha with a shocked expression. 

With a happy smile, she said, ‘Ms. Meadows I’m sure you don’t have the authority to 

fire someone. Is that right?” 

“Am I not the person in charge of SL Series? If that’s the case, why can’t I fire 

anyone? Or do you think firing someone does not fall under the scope of the person- 

in–charge?” Samantha asked. 

Linda was rendered speechless and could only give Kendrick a helpless look. 

“Kenny, look at her. She isn’t behaving like your employee at all. She’s more like the 

CEO here!” 

“Since you’ve claimed that you’re the person in charge, then firing anyone is up to 

you,” Kendrick said expressionlessly. 

“In that case, I hope to have a quiet working environment. At the very least, please 

ask Ms. Linda not to interfere with the affairs of the design department.”
