Chapter I Survived.
I think it was a day or two after we guarded the wall. I woke up in our room. I was in my bed and there were several people standing around me messing with tubes that were coming out my arms. One of the ladies noticed me looking at them and acted incredibly surprised. Then the others did and had the same reactions.
The lady wearing a lab coat got really close to me. "Hey can you understand me? Your left hand, the one that isn't broken please wiggle one of your fingers up and down." I did what she asked. "Good. Do you remember your name?" I wiggled my finger up and down again. "Good, Ok Red I'm actually quite surprised you're awake it only been a day or two since the incident. I'm going to need you stay as still as you can for the next several weeks. That fall ruptured several of your internal organs and we need them to withstand as little stress as possible so as to not rip the stitches." I wiggled my finger up and down again. She nodded her head and walked out of the room.
They had a clear mask thing covering my mouth, it was spiting a very thin fog; and it was cold. Those rest of those people finished up what they were doing and left the room, I just was left to myself in silence for a while.
It didn't take long for Owen and Kayla to come into the room. Kayla was crying... "Is she gonna be ok Owen?" I didn't understand why she was crying. Owen didn't respond. "Owen, Is she gonna be ok!?"
Owen snapped. "Dammit I don't know!"
I tried making a nose, a noise is what came out. Then they both looked at me and I started to feel uncomfortable.
Kayla froze for a second... "Red... You're awake. OH MY GOD!"
They both walked over to me really quickly. I was almost worried they were gonna fall on me.
Owen got a huge grin on his face. "Dam you're one tough nut to crack Red, It's good to see you're awake at least! Kayla don't kill her ok."
Kayla huffed at him and then looked over at me. "Jeez I'm not that dangerous. Red does anything hurt? I wiggled my finger no, but she didn't notice. "Can I assume no then?" I tried nodding my head but it hurt my neck. "R-Red don't try to move. You've got quite a few broken bones!"
It wasn't until she said that when I noticed there was something hard around my wrist and left leg. I think they also had a back brace on me but I couldn't tell at the time.
Kayla smiled at me and ran her fingers through my hair, it was pleasant. Then she ruffled my hair and laughed. "Red, don't scare us like that again."
Owen walked over, he was chewing on his nail. "Kayla, we need to let her rest. We can all talk when she gets a little stronger."
Kayla sighed. "Alright, I'm gonna stay here though. Someone has to keep an eye on her." Owen didn't try to argue with her.
